    That's EXACTLY the question I was asking myself after the overlapping video. I tried underlaping when I just got my hand on FM20, and it didn't worked the way I wanted. But now in the French 5Th division, I managed to find something which suits my team and the way I wanna play. Great video !

    Ok some important advice: When you pose a question, like when you asked "Can you see which players will make the underlapping run," please answer it in the video. You can't presume that what is clearly clear to you became clear to others ( me ) via your explanation. Thank you twice, firstly in advance, and secondly for the years of great content.

      Point noted. I will highlight them and do a team instructions video creating tactics with them in mind and clearly show the runs.

    Oh dear Daljit. How can i pay this benefit back? Literally always wanted to use underlaps but never knew what they actually did. I really appreciate this!

    Makes perfect sense now i think about it. An inside forward is going to be running from outside to in on the field, starting wide and coming inside, so he needs a run from inside him and beyond him as a passing option = an underlap.
    On this basis, im thinking it might be a good idea to use the underlap on an inside forward/inverted wingers side when using a support duty to supply the forward runs of a forward on the other side of the field with through balls or a midfielder breaking through the centre.
    Lets say the inside forward was on the right side. we could in theory underlap right, which could release either an inside forward on the left set to attack, or maybe a central midfielder in the LCM slot to make a forward run past the inside forward on the right.
    Excited to try this out.

    Another good one. I never used underlapping coz im not really sure. Now I know. I have difficulty to counter a good team with high block and high lines of defense doing gegenpressing. Suggestion : how to attack vs high block/low block, vs high lines/low lines.

    Im already getting excited when you talked about it in the stream a few days ago. I haven't used the underlap that much, but after this video i cant wait to use it into my tactics

    I love an underlap and in my current save I’m finding it also frees up space on that side for my fullback who is often completely unmarked to cross.

    Think I found this video a bit late been playing fm 22for a while and always wondered why my attack has so many crosses from flanks no matter what tactics I use .Im now using a vertical tiki taka tactic which had default underlap runs and finally they were playing the way I want them to and this video just explained everything 😃

    Also i think the WB or FB need to have decent vision and passes to look for the underlap ,else they hold the ball too much and end up loosing it.

    I guess an AP on the flank would do good job to find an underlapping player. As to your tactic, sometimes CMs with support duty make late runs behind defense, so my guess would be - the BWM. Also about the Treq in the AMC slot - the option to get further forward is locked out, so doesn't that mean that he'd make those runs less frequently? I found out that in the AMC strata the AM(A) makes the most forward runs, so I'm using this role in my strikerless tactic atm

    What i don't get is if you need wingers for a underlaping run. Because it say the winger looking for an inside run. I play 4-1-2-1-2 were i think underlaping should be key. But i dont have wingers other than the Wing backs

  • @stainypoo

    loved it, will try an inverted winger/inside forward or maybe even an ramdeuter in an 4231 with underlaps on both side and d have my 10 and my 8 running into space and see what happens.

    I used underlap in fm19 cos' I had a great batch of running mids. I also used cwb on att with if on support to create natural overlaps on both flanks

    What about using underlap on both wings with two attacking mezzalas, a false 9 and inside wingbacks?

    • @Pedro-mm8wt
      @Pedro-mm8wt 3 года назад +1

      @Godwin Tusabe on support, because they would play wide on the pitch as well as make inside runs. On defense role I feel they'd just stay back and try long passes or quick crosses. I'm thinking of a 4-3-3 with the two mezzalas, the iwbs on support, false 9 and one inverted winger and one inside forward.

      That's something I do - it works extremely well, it's how Pep's City played at times when they had Sane on the left, Sterling on the right and David Silva and De Bruyne receiving the ball on the underlap and would run wider helping to create overloads on each flank. It got me my best ever passing team move in FM, 66 passes before a goal :D

    please explain how to incorporate both underlap and overlap on different wings in the same team. I think there will be congestion somewhere if you use both. You really rushed this part of the video.

    • @BusttheNet
      @BusttheNet  4 месяца назад

      If you use a FB and a winger on one flank you should look at the overlap, if you use a role that comes inside like the IF and you have a fb/wb behind him then use the underlap
