This hurts to watch. You guys are being so critical and negative about a place you know nothing about. It’s not sketchy at all! You went on a gloomy sad day with your sad boring attitude. Y’all are lame
“This beach town, where apparently people change clothes in the parking lot like it’s a normal thing.” What landlocked burg are you from? Completely normal surfer routine here in SoCal.
South Florida 25 years by the beach. We have bathrooms since our beach towns are not littered with the homeless.. the reason yall cant have nice things ☺️ thank you very much.
Ha Ha First time visitor who is gonna Critique the place after a couple of hours! 31 years I lived there, Love it to this day! hasn't changed much, Very Nice place for Locals. Point Loma and OB Rock!
I lived there for 4 years right by the pier in one of the little white cottages with the green roof. The little town does have a very chill vibe. I met so many great people there. My favorite bar is the Harp and every Wed. there is a great farmers' mkt and free music. At 7:37 you can see the cottages up on the hill.
Im honestly surprised you didnt travel down to sunset cliffs and get a video driving down there or walking the nature path ❤. Ocean beach has its hidden beauties like the pocket beaches or views of the ocean from the cliffs . The swing ? The hole ! So much more than just dog beach n the pier.
Tomorrow you should visit Mission Beach and go for a ride on the Roller Coaster at Belmont Park...and a swim in the Plunge, their big pool where I swim all the time.
That town is better than any Florida beach town. I lived there for 5 years in the early 90’s at the foot of the pier. Absolutely loved it. Yes, it had it homeless, tweekers , and mentally ill back then but 95% of them wouldn’t bother you. The vibe was chill and the locals were great. The food was good and the local music scene was awesome. It’s sad to see “ Corporate “ businesses have moved in. When I was there the only corporate business was Jack In The Box. Shout out to former roommates Billy The Tool, Rain Dude, The Bull and Brother Joe( I hope your chess game has gotten better) and I can’t forget local Billy Butter who was the unofficial Mayor of OB at the time. Go back to wherever you came from. PS You should of had a burger at Hodad’s.
Born and raised in San Diego. 3rd generation local. I lived in OB for 15 years. And now live in Florida. Other than Desantis’s covid policies, Florida sucks, unless you have a boat. It’s like I’m living in a Jimmy buffet song. There’s little to no culture here. And the surf is horrible 99.999% of the time. And don’t be fooled. There’s homeless. They just ship them out of the nice areas to urban ones. Just look at Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, or Jacksonville.
When I lived there I knew two guys who lived in vans--no dogs though. One was a busker and the other was a guy whose legs had been amputated, he was in a chair all the time. He got around pretty good but staying clean is an obstacle for houseless people.
I can't speak for LA, but San Diego is way more low key. Having lived here for 40+ years, and done a lot of traveling, I always love coming back to paradise.
Ironic you said ppl playing music on the street. That’s why I didn’t move there. Bums me out. I was a singer songwriter and I broke my hand a year ago. Always wanted to busk for the longest time. Now I pretty much stopped playing cause of that. I hope to get it back
I moved last yr from that specific area bc the homeless has grown so much. It was in my top 2 reasons to leave. Happeing all over in san diego. It's always been bad.. but not this bad. The drugs are so much stronger these days. Public safety is a real issue, including public health issues being spread. It's so sad. OB will always be one of my favorite places. I have so many great memories there. RIP 🙏 ⚰ the
you ain't from around here. OB is one of the best because OB keeps the developers, the frat mentality, the wanna be surfers up in Pacific beach. OB has a sense of community where Del Mar has sold out to the rich and famous and fake. I know, My Grand mother lived on Voltaire when the trolley went to OB, (look it up) and I lived in Del Mar Heights on Pinewood Drive. OB and Blacks are my two favorite beaches in San Diego. You wanna taste of the magic of OB? learn to surf, OB is legendary, and go to Winston's on a Monday night.

I know what a beach town SHOULD look like I am from Florida
To bad they didn't come during Spring Break. Or 4th of July weekend. Or just the summer time in general.
Uh... the homeless has gotten horrible in SD.. especially in OB.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS very toxic attitude from you throughout, nonstop
from point loma/o.b.-now living in fwb fl…you have zero idea (based upon your narration).however.I totally appreciated seeing the neighborhood

Surfers rarely wear wetsuits in Florida.
That guy was not “changing his clothes”; he was a surfer, changing out of his wetsuit. I am a former San Diegan, and that beach, is Dog Beach, in OB.

This Couple has a Lot of Negativity and Critical on just about all of their visits. They Must be Very Special to Themselves, Just Sayin

Welcome to San Diego’s 2nd oldest town. OB is a retro town that never changes. I lived there in the 80’s and go back from time to time. Great town!
Nah. /
Ahh, you are in my neck of the woods!! Looks like you are at Dog Beach in OB. I'm just a few miles up the coast in Pacific Beach. Enjoy your visit.
Used to live in Pt.Loma!, When I first moved to San Diego , and spend so much time at this beach! California are nice people!
Yeah, they are nice but they aren't kind. People on the east coast are mean but they are kind hearted.
Tomorrow you should visit Mission Beach and go for a ride on the Roller Coaster at Belmont Park...and a swim in the Plunge, their big pool where I swim all the time.
Please a whole lot more of this "nice" and "beautiful" Alabama slang (accent).
I simply can't get enough of that.
HAHA
🤣🤣🤣🤣
They are South Florida used to be, they have been critical of everything but themselves
Hippy vibes yo, Venice beaches cousin
Omgish I saw my old Apartment!!! I LOVED living in OB!! 6yrs!!!
cool vibes

I lived there and it can be sketch but I absolutely loved it and will be back!
Also it's no biggie takin your wetsuit off in the parking lot......dude learn yourself an open mind!!!!! Please!!!!
🌴A very good video
🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
That whole area screams “I’m starting van life with my two dogs!”
🤣
Jewel lived in her van while doing some night gigs here back in the late 90's.
When I lived there I knew two guys who lived in vans--no dogs though. One was a busker and the other was a guy whose legs had been amputated, he was in a chair all the time. He got around pretty good but staying clean is an obstacle for houseless people.
We're planning on heading to LA and San Diego next year!
I can't speak for LA, but San Diego is way more low key. Having lived here for 40+ years, and done a lot of traveling, I always love coming back to paradise.
Hope to see more of SD. Love Venice beach and Santa monixa!
I lived there for 25 toyed it declined for a long time. I’ll always cherish my time there, it will always be home for me.
No judging n it's not sketchy......we're nothing like new York ugh
Dog beach! The best spot
She sounds totally drunk.

You sketchy. The only kind thing you said was that the vibes here are very distinctive

It has always been bad. But it got really bad when Reagan closet the state hospitals and kicked everyone out.
Ocean Beach is a neighborhood of the city of San Diego
Correct
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS so is LA jolla. It's a neighborhood of San Diego
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Jolla

Billy, is that you? 😆

and San Diego is swamped with homeless in the winter with people from places where it snows.
You should have ate at OB brewery rooftop or south beach.
Hi Jose and Katie the 🌴 look much taller than the 🌴 in Florida
There are parrots that nest in those tall palms. The planes and the parrots start at 6:30 am---you ARE GETTING UP.
Surf City here we come!
I just lost 2% of my brain cells and 15 minutes of my life watching this video. Please Stay in Florida.
And there’s not 300 homeless in OB. lol
Those pupusos are bomb AF. But Nico’s has the best carne asada in San Diego.
Haha you said Venice
yea yea yea
Nah. Not nice warm place. Not hot day and more. /
Dog beach
Garbage
Imprison the homeless.
