Depends on the game, the settings, if you use an fps cap, display brightness, loudness of the speakers, wifi or not. Somewhat between 60 and 180 minutes depending on all these factors.

the right thing was to have 32 GB RAM options to sell
I thought you were gonna show us the new 6 gig option
That wasn't available when I made this video, also as you can see, right now there is no real difference between 4 and 8gb on the legion go. So 6 won't make a big difference either. Might still discover some games where it matters. The first example even shows how higher pre allocated ram can harm the experience...
Every country different version? My country available 16gb only
This is the 16gb version. This video is about how changing the size for the pre allocated VRAM affects gaming.
so basically 4gb vram is the way to go?
Why they don’t have these consoles locked in out the box with the best performance settings possible
Because they would be an insane amount of work, and it wouldn’t even stay valid with updates and such.
@@Tiralful steam does it
Maybe the faster ram on the GO makes the 3 and 4gb options more feasible?
Нет. Windows по умолчанию выделяет 50% от RAM встроенной графике.
При 16 гб ram и 4гб выдпленной в биосе видеопамяти. Будет общей видеопамяти в
16-4 = 12гб
12/2=6.
6+4= 10Gb vram
В данном случае встроенная графика имеет 10GB VRAM, а не 4 gb vram
What about 1080p ??? I guess that would be the usual standard !
Why would you do 1080p on a 16:10 screen.
They have different screens. They don't share the same resolutions...
So I shouldn't play set this to 8gigs of vram?
I would go for 4 (or6 once abailable)
Depends on how you play. The higher the resolution and graphic/texture settings, the more vram you need.
@@Hubwood thank you, I will change mine back to 4gigs.
A 24gb RAM model would be great. Should be cheaper than 32 and with 8gb allocated should leave 16gb for the system
30W? Over here at 33 watt OC on deck lolz
Bro can i5 12 gen rtx 4050 45W 16 gn ram do things like 3d rendering graphic designing blender testing smoothly
Yes you can!
How long Can one play at highest resolution?
Depends on the game, the settings, if you use an fps cap, display brightness, loudness of the speakers, wifi or not.
Somewhat between 60 and 180 minutes depending on all these factors.
@@Hubwood I can’t believe it lasts an hour in highest settings, what an L why aren’t they making batteries that last 4 hours minimum
@@Dexxxterity that would demand a 160wh battery that would make the device much more expensive and probably add another 500-700g to it.
@@Hubwood can we change it for another battery?
@@Dexxxterity we can't change the battery. No.
So overall 4 over 8 or what do you think
I'd go with 4. Maybe 6 once that's available.
this stock drivers?
Early driver's yes
4gb is best option for battery life and gaming performance
The size of allocated vram has no impact on battery life
I ordered it but the problem isn't the fps but the battery I think will last even less like my ally 😂☝️🇺🇲🇮🇹
It lasts about 20% longer when using the same power modes.
@@Hubwood Let's hope bro because this is a nice car.. I can't wait to get it..
I just set it to auto
🤷♂️
Are those games from steam?
Some yes, some not.
I barely get above 20fps with 4gb on hogwarts legacy and I’m playing on low settings
800p Low?
Using the 30W Custom Mode in the Settings of the LEGION GO?
@@Hubwood 800p, everything set to low, vram at 4gb, updated drivers, 30w custom tdp
Just remember, you take 8 gb for VRAM you are only left with 8 gig of RAM
What does that mean
This isn’t for larger capacity.
This is only recommended in scenarios where the igpu is severely lacking in vram,
Like a 3250u for example with 256mb of Vram.Make that larger and have enough RAM.
I must say youll see most of it probably in the ram upgrade lol scams
No, that's not how that works :)
It actually does have some kind of effect. Especially for the Asus rog ally.
Also the size of igpu ram really can affect the performance by a bit.
I think they should release this console every 3 years and work on a better OS. No one wants to play on windows lol.
Uhm...I do actually 😅
hi guys what do you think about getting GDP win max 2 with 64gb of Ram or Legion Go. Almost same price in my country.
Man the software on this thing suuuuucks at the moment.
The Legion Space? Yeah i don't like it either. But they are working on it.
looks like its a bad idea to buy these handhelds.. RAMs being the bottleneck
Safe deutscher😂
Das hat dir der Teufel verraten 😱
Its almost as if Lenovo and Asus have no intention of you keeping their systems for a long time.
I have 0 interest in any handheld in 2023/2024 that has 16GB of shared RAM.
16GB is the standard set by the Steam Deck nearly 2 years ago on an 800P screen and far lighter Linux based OS. 16GB for a 2560 X 1600 screen and Windows 11 in 2023/2024 is planned obsolescence.
Well. I won't deny that...
😂 everyone keeps bringing up the screen being higher resolution but it still has to run games at 720p to be playable 😂 720p looks great on a 7in 1080p screen with VRR, 720p on a 1600p 8.8in portrait display with no VRR looks horrible
Not with integer scaling down to 800p
Why not leave the Lego at 8vrarm?? It effects so much the battery?
No. But it leaves you with 8gb system ram only.
Not enough Imho.
@@Hubwood I didn't know that CPU graphics takes the Vram from Rams . I see yeah indeed 8ram is low .
So of LeGo had 32g ram will had a better performance i guess.
Great info, thanks bud
