Hi Jonathan - Good morning, bought the nutrition program from your website and have not heard back or got an email. Tried sending you an email on your website but its sending a response under contact me. let me know how to reach to you to get access to the program, thanks
Hello, have any tips on shift work? I'm unable to have a set sleep schedule. I could work days one day, afternoons the next, then switch to nights the next day.
@@accroker Ah great! So, did you check your spam and promotion emails? If your email is not in your inbox, it will be there (it sends within minutes of you buying). If it's not there, you most likely made a typo with your email address at the checkout. So, just email me at jonathan@jclarkefitness.com and I can sort it for you 😄
Have a great move. Hope to be able to hear from you while you are away, if not, enjoy Spain and stay safe. Will catch up with you when you return. Love your sensible and always interesting videos and thoughtful insights/info.
Cutting back in caffeine definitely is a great step, and cutting it off earlier. I was definitely crazy in my earlier years drinking almost up until midnight, now I've probably halved my intake stopping at 5pm. Still very late but aiming at 3 pm this year. Great content, keep it up! Greetings from a Swede in Beijing ☀️😊🌆
Btw i really wish i listened to these advices before but i deluded myself into thinking i could only lose weight by starving myself so i only ate like 1000 calories or something for a long time and while it worked for weight loss i struggled really bad with eating disorder, first anorexic then i started binging, restricting while killing my body with hours of cardio a day etc for a long time and got bad stomach issues im dealing with now. So stupid. And now i've eaten 2500 calories for like a month without gaining weight, in fact i've actually lost some i think so it turned out i could actually eat significantly more than i thought, i wish i believed it earlier. So as most people say if you want to lose weight, dont go overboard with cardio, SMALL deficit and lift weight. Not only is it better for your body, that way once you reach your goal you dont have to change your lifestyle much at all either.
Love the vids Jonathan. Recently come across your channel and it's great. Love the recipes and have recently tried the overnight oats, one pan frittata and the chilli beef. Have to say they're all good but the chilli beef was ace mate.. Also made the zero sugar jelly mousse which was good too. Keep it up mate. Between you and Greg Doucette I'll get there yet..😊😊👍
Nice one David! I think if you’re doing that trip by choice it’d probably be fun with pit stops etc. But I genuinely could not be arsed with the drive - just want to get there 😂
Love the video man 👍but I don’t think like doing bench should be considered direct work towards the tricep themselves. Yes I know the triceps are involved and are pretty much the whole second part of the lift which is the top lock out is all tricep. But unless you are going relatively heavy or close to failure which on bench press isn’t ideal, I would definitely incorporate more direct isolated tricep movements
Paradoxically I find moderate caffeine consumption calming. I gave it up for 2 weeks once and my anxiety went through the roof. If I go to high then this also happens. Around 3 cups works great for me. My sleep also got worse when I gave up caffeine totally. Weird I know but that’s me. Great vid
That may have been the initial symptoms of caffeine withdrawal you were experiencing. And as a result of the increased anxiety, sleep was affected. However, I’m sure if you cut it completely, your sleep would get to a very good place after these initial symptoms subsided. That being said, it’s not something you need to give up completely. In moderation and earlier in the day, I think it’s great too!
I think 1.6-2.2 grams per kg for lean mass is a much more accurate calculation. I love your videos learned so much from watching you. I am currently doing body recomp with 1900 kcal and 120 g of prot, and it is going very well. 7 kgs down in 4 months with visible back gains.
I used to stimmed PWOs and caffeinated soft drinks. Can no longer handle it. Like yourself I switched to caffeine free soft drinks. Also, use stim free preworkout. Sleep much better and lot less anxiety problems
I seem to be okay on caffeine. The adjustments I made to control it is, I switched to a caffeine pill in the morning since I hate coffee. I have a huge addiction to carbonation though, so I started taking seltzer water and mixing it with a Liquid IV and that's helped curb my caffeine craving since it acts like a soda. You can use any flavor sparkling water if you wanted I suppose! It also works conveniently for preworkouts.
I've never been a coffee drinker, which means I have to really take it easy on preworkout or else my heart rate goes out of control. I have had times where I'll have a 250ml can of energy drink 3 or 4 times a week and that's a nice balance for me. If I take preworkout any time after 12pm I'll be lying awake at 1am.
Best of luck with the move, Jonathan. As a fellow dog guy, I'm glad you're taking steps to bring your little buddy. We wouldn't go anywhere if we couldn't bring our little guys. Thanks for all the helpful videos.
I am a coffee addict but your body will get used to caffeine as science has proven so it will reduce the overall caffein effect (it is important that you drink extra water because of caffeine). Though if one drinks lots of coffee then it is a must to avoid other stim drinks with caffeine.
Yes you can build up a tolerance to the point where it has no benefits from a performance/cognition standpoint. But it will still have an anti-sleep effect. Here’s a good summary of current evidence: examine.com/supplements/caffeine/
Going to bed at 9 pm? No fukin way. I go to the gym usually at 8:30 and am not home before 11:30 😅. My kid wakes me up at 6 am. So no going to bed early ever.
Enjoy the video everyone and let me know if you have any body recomp "rules" that you'd like to add to my 3 🙌

Would be more useful if you did a calorie and macros list for all ingredients at the end for all meals
Hi Jonathan - love the recipes. I am in the US - could you recommend a company like bulk since they do not ship here?
when you say 'detrained', how many months are we talking about here?
Hey man the Keto Bodybuilder made a video on you
Hi Johnathon , May I ask where you can purchase the 60 Calorie bread ?
Pretty much all main supermarkets sell a version! Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, SuperValu 👍

Haha if only they knew the lengths we go to for them 😂 cheers Richard!
How do you split your muscle groups ?
@Jomathan Clarke how do you manage to get do much volume in meals
Awesome that’s exciting!! But don’t you have a cat too? Lol you’re not taking the cat? 🥺
No just a dog! The cat you’ve maybe seen is the one in Rachel’s family house 👍

Sleep is critical, always aim for 7 hours, any more is a bonus
15%-25% below maintenance for me is 1500-1700 calories... oh god
When You said 10 sets for muscular group almost lose it, the You clarify it and i was: "thanks god"
Hi, can you recommend anything for fat loss when your metabolism doesn’t work 😩 I can’t loose 1 pound 🙈
Go to doctors and get t3
Thank you
What if u work graveyard shift? It’s hard to get 7 hours of sleep. Especially when you have a family as well
Nightshift will absolutely kill your gains and health in general
What tool do you use to calculate your calorie maintenance?
My fitness pal is what I use. They have the free and the subscription version. I suggest subscription version.
Sub for xantham gum? My stomach can’t go there.😬
I find guar gum to be way easier on digestion!
@@patricia__alves_ thanks I’ll give that a try!
@@georgeannmarsh Let me know :)
Hey, guys. Do you know about Bucha? See photos
