Charles Xavier got rich since the government don't want mutants lurking about in normal schools, so they fund his operations to keep mutants segregated but making them still help people.
This has got to be the most messed thing about marvel and a lie. Charles was rich before that and they helped fund after the X-Men had been world loved heroes for years for optics.
@@bunnyconcubus8468 X Men, not the individual mutants, I know he was a physicist during the Cold War and inherited his father's wealth but Charles got a lot of his wealth through government funds for him to educate and care for mutants away from humans and he has the X Men operation to at least try to make people love mutants more but it didn't really work since people love the X Men( in universe, who risk their lives just to be loved and save people) more than individual mutants since a lot of the time they are against the thought of mutants risking causing a hazard while being around human facilities or seeing them as stealing jobs since their powers make them better than a regular human and would be mor likely to get hired than a normal person if their power fits the task, do you know how many X Men story lines are about people being discriminative against individual mutants and seeing them more as weapons or beings to exploit than being normal? I know it died down but it never truly got resolved. If its true that people love mutants, why are majority of them of them living on Krakoa( or any other isolated areas), forcwd to take a cure if they want to live a normal life or when they are in the public with their powers they are either hiding, pretending to be human or risking their lives for survival or money by performing dangerous tasks? If mutants were truly loved, Magneto and his Brotherhood would have no reason to fight for mutant rights, no superhero in Marvel could fix this discrimination.

To be fair, there are a lot of villains who are billionaires. Lex Luther, Feilong, Green Goblin, and plenty more villains use their money to do evil. There are also companies like Roxxon in marvel comics or Big Belly Burger in DC, that are based off real-life companies, and have the same controversies as those real companies.

For people who dont know, net worth is not how much money you have, its what all your assets are worth(which include money) so aquaman is rich as f in theory, but I doubt he'd sell any of his stuff, while people who owns companies or countries that are not comprised of fish gets real money, so they would be "richer"

In the case for Aquaman even if we ignore the resources from the ocean, his palace would put most rich people on fraud watch (it’s pretty much a huge castle made of precious metals/stones underwater)

also, keep in mind he has to account for the possible revolts that could very possibly happen may he decide to sell the ocean's ressources, since his people are really just a bunch of very loosely connected groups that, on multiple occasions, fought deadly wars over stuff like that. A.K.A he would get the french monarch treatment

Batman is likely a trillionaire via Wayne industries, and one statement saying lexcorp and Wayne industries made up about 90% of the US GDP, which is insane and nonsensical but we’ll go with it, I think they said Wayne and luthor were each about half of that 90, that said black panther is probably the richest superhero in comics simply because of the galaxy’s he literally owns, another contender is aquaman considering we don’t know how wealthy those galaxies are but it’s very unlikely he’s ahead of panther
