      true, i can't think of many other casting choices for an iconic character in a movie tbh, like maybe Leo for Wolf of Wallstreet, or Jack Nicholson in Shining. Shoutout also to Tom Hardy for his role in Bronson, a very underrated performance in my opinion.
      Now you could ofc always go with Stallone for Rambo or Rocky, or Arnie for Terminator, Bruce Willis for the Die Hards but those became iconic more because of the type of movie they were in not because their acting was particularly masterful in itself.

I waited on Jeff and his brother Beau more than a few times and they are so down to earth. I waited on numerous actors and musicians. Some made you nervous and then you get ones that are so cool. I'd say the majority of the famous people I waited on were down to earth but both Jeff and Beau were so natural and kind...normal guys. Jeff acted exactly how he is in this video in real life. I love The Dude! Little known trivia for all of you, Beau played basketball for UCLA and Coach Wooden back in the day when UCLA was the best college basketball team in the country. Actors ACT. It's what they do. They spend their entire professional lives pretending to be something or someone they are NOT. So I'm always very reluctant to form any hard opinions about what kind of person an actor is by their interviews. But there's just *something* about Jeff Bridges that burns right through all that an convinces me at a fundamental level that what we see here is exactly what we get! As brilliant an actor as Mr. Bridges is, I really do not think he's so good that he could convey such profound decency if it weren't there.

      The story is kind of crap but everything else... man! The Daft Punk Score! The visuals! The symbolism (e.g. Clue's speech to his army mirrors Flynn's speech in the real word). The acting was also pretty good for this type of film.

    • @DevanteWeary
      @DevanteWeary 4 года назад +42

      I don't care what anyone says, it's a nearly perfect sequel.
      The writing is amazing. I can feel the sadness and I betrayed feeling in CLU. I can feel the understanding and guilt in Flynn.
      Sure there are a couple of things that are kind of silly, like the bar scene, but doesn't matter because I could watch this movie a hundred times. Probably have actually.
      I feel like people who talk negatively about this movie don't really "get" it. Like there's an underlying quality right beneath all the visuals and music.
