Ronald D Less - Hey John, I just saw that a full list of the movies that will be available on Disney+ at launch and it’s a LOT more than I was expecting. The library is truly impressive. Some of the ones I’m most excited about are (besides the Star Wars, Pixar and Marvel movies) Big Hero Six, The BFG, Christopher Robin, The Gods Must Be Crazy, The Help, John Carter and well too many to mention. What do you think of the initial offering and what are you most excited about?

Oh and Campea don't do Agents of SHIELD like that. It got 7 seasons for a reason. Blame Ike Perlmutter and the higher ups at Disney / Marvel for not letting the characters crossover better.

I potentially can have the original Disney Afternoons (Tale Spin, Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles) on the weekdays and Fox Saturday Mornings (X-Men / Spider-Man) OH BABY
I'm most pumped for the 90s / early 2000s Disney Channel movies. Alley Cats, Brink, Zenon, Paper Brigade, Johnny Tsunami. It's been so long since I've seen those movies and I watched them so many times as a kid. It's going to be a giant blast of nostalgia.

Dang they have all my favorites. Proud Family, Kim Possible, Gargoyles, Duck Tales, X Men Animated Series, Spider Man Animated Series, Fantastic 4, etc. But one show is missing, House Of Mouse. They already have the movie of it House of Villians. But hopefully that'll be added later.
Not only do I want them to add House of Mouse, but I think it'd be so cool if they updated it, so that Tangled, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Wreck It Ralph,a nd Zootopia characters could be in. Heck Rapunzel and Hiro and Baymax already have 2D incarnations if they want to go that route.

@@westheking12 They're pvoen they can make some of them hand drawn, I don't see why they couldn't do this with Zootopia or Big Hero 6, and Frozen already has good hand drawn art in the books. On covers or in the children's bedtime stories.

Not necessarily. They are rumored to be buying Sony Pictures for Apple+ which if they did frees up Spiderman and reverts him back to Disney

Dan Peckett it might happen. Apple doesn’t really have any content to compete. Not mention that Disney is probably taken their content off iTunes which is major blow to Apple

This is the catalogue from the Netherlands early trial; Why is nobody pointing this out?
Here's a couple of inconsistencies:
1) They have 18 MCU movies on that list whereas we know that the US will only get 4 MCU movies at launch.
2) Last Jedi and Solo have exclusive Netflix deals until 2020; yet they're also on this list
Don't wanna put a dampener on everybody's hopes but I highly doubt this catalogue is the same as the US and Canada ones.
Syed Shahrukh Raza I was thinking the same thing. This legally can’t be the North American list. They can’t put movies on Disney plus that are still on Netflix.
I saw Infinity War on the list and remembered that Netflix still has the rights to that until mid 2020 i think
I’m personally not wanting this for MCU or Star Wars so this list is spectacular
I just hope they don't forget the foreign audiences
I would love for them to add foreign Disney content with subtitles. I think it could be really cool to have access to some of that content.
I just hope the library is the same in each country unlike netflix i absolutely hate that netflix has different things depending in which country you live
@@robertmaggio5590 i live in the netherlands each movie and show has the option to change either the audio channel to english german spanish dutch. Or you can turn subs on and change color and boxes around the subs
@@nigelpfeifer4797 i here that too, but that's how licencing contracts per platform per country have been done for decades (before SVODs) and they're still in place for a lot of content out there
@@1164-w9h ye i understand it but i thought with netflix as none of the properties were owned by them ( except their originals which wherr shown i beleive in each country ). But these disney plus movies and shows are all disney owned IP. So i would think that disney does have full controll on what they put on it and where. Idk if im completely wrong here and that its allot harder to get the IP everywhere.

Netflix rarely gets something I care about. That's why I just get free trials here and there. Hulu is a far superior service and Disney+ will be too.

Tiny Toons is on Hulu right now. Tiny Toons and anything associated with Looney Tunes is owned by Warner Bros, so it won’t be on Disney+, and it won’t be on Hulu forever. It will probably end up on HBO Max when their Hulu contract expires. Makes me wonder about the future of the Animaniacs revival that was supposed to go to Hulu though.

In The Netherlands we have it already, a free trial for 2 months. Im not a person that goes back watching all the old stuff though, Im patiently waiting for all the new shows, but having such a rich catalogue is always nice to have

One complaint I have is I saw The Brave Little Toaster Goes To Mars And The Brave Little Toaster To The Rescue but not the original Brave Little Toaster that movie was one of my favorites

When I saw Brink on the list I was instantly sold. I watched that movie 100 times growing up and I look forward to watching it 100 times more on Disney +
Disney had my money with THE MANDALORIAN, but with the library they'll have at launch ... OMFG! I'm so excited for the classic Disney afternoon cartoon block, SPIDER-MAN: The Animated Series, X-MEN: The Animated Series, SPIDER-MAN (1981), SPIDER-MAN and His Amazing Friends.
With this library at launch, it's worth whatever tier I chose to go with.
I hope this article is true, because I distinctly remember Disney on their Investors Day, saying that only four MCU movies would be on Disney+ at launch: Iron Man, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, and Captain Marvel.
This is a list from the Netherlands trial. So it is not 100 percent correct. Unfortunately that is still true only 4 will be available at launch.
I'm in the Netherlands, we have 10 MCU movies on Disney+ right now.
If this is a list from the Netherlands, why can't i find 'The Help' which is on the list and high lighted by John?
I think there's been something going on in the background and Disney has secured the rights to more MCU movies. Because if it was the Netherlands catalogue then I'm sure someone would've pointed it out.

Honestly I'm not that big on seeing new shows on Disney+, seeing every other show I enjoy growing up and older movies...that alone is worth it for me.
A problem I see is that Disney+ list movies that aren't available for months or even more than a year from now. One movie they had on their list isn't available until Aug, 2021.
I just read the website. They also got The Simpson’s 30 seasons. Impressive Disney.
Disney+ has already launched in the Netherlands as a free trial until November. It is worth the money.

I have a lot of these movies on DVD and Blu Ray already but there’s a fair amount of stuff on there I don’t have and want to see, in particular all the Marvel shows, so there’s enough on there to get me excited for it, and it’s awesome to see a lot of the classic Disney shows being put on there too
Watched a boatload of the movies listed and loved them. Might need to think about it due to the MCU launching their shows. Can't wait!!!

Too bad this won’t be what it looks like when it launches in most countries. This is just what was on the preview build for The Netherlands where there’s next to no licensing restrictions. Good to see the long term vision though.

I don't believe this is an official list, just what is available right now to those with the free trial in the Netherlands. I don't think we in the US will get the full list of Marvel movies from the start.
But other then that, this is an awesome list and I'm looking forward to November 12! Nobody is going to see me for weeks after this drops.
Yeah I believe this is including everything that the Netherlands will have at launch. So the big difference is the MCU and Coco and solo. I think most the other content should be the same.

I already have Hulu so the fact basic Hulu and Disney+ can be bought as a package for $12.99 is fantastic.
The library of movies is great and all, but if the only thing they have is the Disney Afternoon and One Saturday Morning shows... It would STILL be worth the money being asked. Gargoyles and Recess are two of the best cartoons EVER!

Why even buy Fox is family friendly blockbuster action movies like Independence Day, Minority Report and I' Robot aren't going to be on Disney+ to fill the action movie section?
Those are suited more for Hulu. If I were Disney, I would put that there.

You still might be wrong. The list is based completely on a Beta in The Netherlands which has different content streaming agreement contracts with.
Of course if it does end up being the same in the US in a few months there's what's even more impressive is they aren't blowing the entire wad at once. There's still a bunch of old 40-70's live action missing (Gus, at least one Herbie movie, Zorro, the Gnome Mobile, Summer Magic with Burl Ives, The Monkey's Uncle) and most of the classic animated shorts are still to be added which I'm sure are needing to be reformatted for the platform so they have a lot to add over time.
Also one movie won't be in the US. Nickelodeon bought the US rights to Garfield and all previous TV and movie content involving that franchise a few months ago

I jest. I know John isn't going to watch all these movies, but I feel like most of these movies have little re-watchability. Even though it's cheap, I feel like I'm basically going to pay five dollars just to watch The Mandalorian. If the episodes are really going to be released on a weekly basis, I'll probably just wait a year or two for all those marvel shows to finish their initial run, then watch them all in a month or two...either that or torrent them.
