Honestly ever since Tenpai came out in the TCG and I gave the cards a proper read, I've been making Kragen against them instead of Bubblereaf. It means I've never been forced to blow Askaan early to hit the field spell. I just nod at them.
@@aMindSetFree Kragen applies the passive effect that turn everything on the field into a WATER monster. The Tenpai Field Spell only gives protection from activated effects to FIRE Dragons. With Kragen on the field, the protection that Sangen Summoning gives is removed, because there's no FIRE Dragons for it to protect, only WATER Dragons.
I still think most of the times making a lancea instead of dragite is better, 2 floodgates + a trishula is just so good and if you drew a lv4 extender you can just make baha/toad so you don’t even miss the negate as much. Also something I almost never see is using the effect of psiics to get an extender that isn’t keaf The extra deck does feel tight but it is doable, thinking of cutting porpoise only came in clutch once I’d rather have another link such as abyss keeper/dweller
@@lucifero_il_gatto Hello 👋🏾 Sadly, Raiho wasn't used competitively for the same reason Coelacanth wasn't used, it's a brick. It will cost you either your consistency or your handtrap count hurting your ability to go second. It's also not a one for one substitute for Toad or Dragite because it doesn't negate spell or traps that can break your board, like Evenly, Subversion, Talents, etc.. I will still be doing a video on Lancea, in an Ice Barrier Ghoti deck profile. It's a different way to play, that comes at a cost to gain other benefits.
@@deepseadarew6012 I also prefer boardbreakers over HT, having more success that way, out of the last 20 matches (MD) I have only need to scoop 3 do to abismal draws while going second, it is very consistent,drawing raiho 3 times but it wasn’t that bid of a deal… but I also won like 10 coin tosses in a row (mid-low diamond) Although I think I will switch to a runick ghoti variation for when I arrive to master. 🫶🏻🙌🏻
