Chris, you are really good therapy, and you probably totally underestimate yourself in this regard. But many people, myself included, have been and are still going through some tough times and often when we think it's over, something else rears its head and drags us through the mire. These videos and others like them, offer some temporary escape from all that, and your videos are more than that because they also highlight some hidden truths that many do not know about. So thanks for being a consistent beacon of light. Stay curious everyone. Its a mysterious world.

Great story, Chris. You're talking about a different area of NV for sure!! Lot of strange stories in that Lemmon Valley geographical area. Northern Sierra's and Verdi, Crystal Peak, Peavine Mountain, Dog Valley to the West less than 50miles and Pyramid Lake just N/NE of there. The Native American Paiutes have numerous stories about the Giants (think Lovelock Caves kind of Giants), quicksand pockets amongst the miles of sagebrush, Bigfoot stories, strange lights over the lake, missing people who are not found or sometimes go missing in Lake Tahoe but end up found in Pyramid! The stories are endless out there. Maybe 35 miles N of Reno, but literally in the desert and a whole paranormal activity kind of vibe. This kid's story is a perfect example of the kinds of things that are spoken of there. Trivia: USAF used to run a SERE school for Pilots out there at Stead AFB until the late 1970s. They've got some crazy stories about the area, too. Looking forward to your next adventure and storytelling. Sidenote: if you can find it down your way, try Coldsmoke by KettleHouse Brewery in Bonner MT. AWESOME Scotch Ale, right up your alley. I know you lived up here (MT)once and might know that brewery and general knowledge of the area just outside of Missoula.
    * For the non skiers in the Base Camp Universe, "Coldsmoke" is a skier/snowboarding term for ultra light, deep powder snow, the Holy Grail condition for Backcountry/Tele Skiers/ and Tree Skiers/Boarders known as "Powder Rhinos". Common up here in the Rockies/Beartooth/Bitterroot very rare in the Sierra's due to the high moisture content from the Pacific Ocean influence on the mountains. That kind of packed snow is colloquially known as "Sierra Cement" and this year's snowfall depth is going to be the one talked about for the next 50 years...

Love your scary stories, you are so brave telling these stories in the dark forest. I'm going to tried to cook on camp stove and make chili or a steak.
I like all the different beers you find to drink...keep on hiking 😊 😃

I don't think Chris's original goal was to tell sasquatch stories on RUclips but I sure am glad he does! Always wonderfully and tastefully put together. Always comprehensive and easy to follow and even tops it all off with sounds effects, atmosphere, scenery, attitude and facial expressions, I could go on and on. Great stuff Chris!

    Awesome as always Chris!
WOW, you are super brave. It's so gorgeous out there, but yet so scary at the same time,😳 😬. The bushes or sage brush whatever they're called, lol, did look pretty scary.😬 😳
If I were that boy, I'd been freaked out for sure. Hearing something like that. Plus, the way it shook the house. I'm surprised the rest of his family didn't wake up to the dogs running around the house barking, but they were probably used to the dogs coming in the neighborhood, being loud barking, and all.
Great story, and you did an awesome job telling it.
Thank you for sharing and for all the hard work and time you put into these videos. They are truly awesome.
    KEEP HIKING
    KEEP ADVENTURING
    GOD BLESS YOU
