I see a few Indian and Pakistani vloggers like to go too close to the stalls to take videos or touch the food when they are not buying. These people are doing a business so don't make them feel like you want to buy when you are not intending to. It's also not nice to touch the food if you are not buying it. It's not hygienic for other patrons. You don't usually see the locals or the Chinese tourists do that unless they have the intention to buy and consume the food. The stallholders don't say anything because they are too polite to tell you off, not that they don't mind.
Wait, Indians Don't touch food here in 🇮🇳 also, Very rarely you see indjan touching food, Also we consume food separately but in Pak we see people eating each others Consumed foods in same plate(this is unhygienic in 🇮🇳), yes but if there is dry items then may be we touch it, Also Here we prefer mostly Veg foods(may be indian Hindu or muslims), But People of india-pak look same so foreign automatically align us like same

You can find that Chinese people pay more attention to hygiene. When stores give you food, they will wrap it in plastic bags for you, so if possible, try not to come into direct contact with food you do not plan to buy.
Basic etiquettes: You dont touch the food you're not buying with your hands.

You have said several times that religious activities are prohibited. Why don’t you go into the mosques and see. Since religious activities are prohibited , why keep that mosque? There are 23 million Muslims in China, and there are 40,000 mosques distributed in various cities in China. Are these mosques used for tourism?
100s of mosques are closed, only few are open in each city. No need to ask anyone when eyes are witnessing Cafe and Bars inside old Mosque
Religion is something that should be between a person and his God and faith. Mosque should be a place of worship for those that want to worship together instead of being used as a tool for political activities. Mosque are closed only when it is suspected to be used as place for political activity and international proxies.
@@BeingATraveler I say no harm asking to confirm assumptions. Your eyes may only tell you half the story. Being a traveller is not just to see, but to ask when you can. I have travelled to UK and my eyes told me there's so many homeless on the streets in London, and think the Govt is not doing anything until I ask a few Londoners and they told me the other half my eyes didn't see.

Mosques are not closed, just because many mosques in Xinjiang are disturbed by many tourists from mainland China. The mosques may be closed on weekdays, but they are open every Friday. The mosques in Chongqing, my city, are usually open to tourists. You must come and see them when you come to Chongqing.

Yes but the central govt is trying very hard to invest.. They pay the least and get the most transfer from central govt. Almost all public services are free in Xinjiang for residents. Now, parts of Xinjiang will develop into a free trade zone to trade with central Asia and Russia. They have come a long, long way in the last 10 to 15+ years... Still need to develop but without forgetting history. Need to slowy urbanize the province
