There are reasons. 1) Interference of Religion in every Place. China is Atheist State or Religion does not play anything in their policy making. 2) Stable government with long term plan.. 3) Visionary Leaders with experience. 4) Hardworking people and love their culture. Not arab , Turkish Persian like Pakistan. 5) Rule of law.

There are 25000 mosques are being used in Xingjiang. It's also good to see all these beautiful ancient mosques have been protected so well as cultral relics. Although they are too old to be used, their beauty will continue to shine. I believe tourists from other region of China or other countries all will appreciate the good mantenance job they have done to these ancient mosques.

Thanks for sharing eating ostrich egg. I wonder if it is halal. Believe me I would never touch this thing. In Japan eating raw fish and its eyes are considered delicacy. One Pakistani friend ate eyes considered them as fish oil capsules and myself ate raw fish considered as boiled egg with rice wrapped up with snake skin (I never knew). The technicolor variety of food on table looked so good 😁

Secondly, there was a major earthquake in Xinjiang a few years ago. Many mosques were demolished because of safety risks, and new mosques were built based on the original ones.
