The Hyundai i20 may just be one of the best bang for buck small cars on the market right now - but how does it stack up to the likes of the Fiesta, Ibiza, Clio and Corsa?

I also switched from 100ps Fiesta st Line to 100 ps i20 2024 and couldnt be more Happy. Only Thing i dont Like is the Position of the Volume knob but you can Control it via steering wheel. I will get h&r or eibach springs to get the car a little deeper. The Standard Stereo (not bose) is fine too if anybody asks himself. I turn off lane Assist and speed Limit warning everY time i start the car. That is a litle bit annoying but what can you do with eu rules? 😂

The exclusion or the premium model? I'm confused. Does the premium worth the extra money? Also, my mechanic told me not to buy a car with 3 cylindrs (1000 cc and 100 hp) because the engine can't manage and customers with 3 cylinders tend to visit him more often 'cause of engine problems. What do you think?

In the UK for the i20 2024 update Hyundai have abandoned the 48v hybrid powertrain and reverted to the 3 cylinder 1litre turbo petrol (100PS) across the three trim levels.
The three drive modes are now two with the eco mode being dropped.
Also, the i20N has been discontinued.
It's strange then that they are included in the review.
Also, unless I missed it, the 5 year unlimited milage warranty is worth a mention.

You’re right about the mild hybrid being axed, this was only a very recent change. The media provided to me still included the mild hybrid option, and as far as I’m aware review samples are all mild hybrid. The model I was provided as a review sample still featured eco mode too. It’s a strange choice they made to revert to the 100 1.0t only - and whilst I mentioned the i20n in the review it was only for comparison - supposedly production is stopping for all the petrol N models which is a shame. A lot of people will probably buy slightly used, and end up with a mild hybrid anyway.

It really is puzzling why Hyundai didn't provide you with the latest version to review. It does explain why there are a number of 2024 reviews featuring the older version - but I have come across at least two which review the latest incarnation.
I picked up my new i20 at the end of February and I must say I am more than happy with it.
      A nicely balanced review btw.

@@YorkyOne I guess sometimes they have mixed versions on the fleet if the changes are fairly recent. I often review older models of car too as well as the latest iterations. Sometimes when a facelift has arrived the manufacturers will still be selling a lot of older pre built or showroom stock so hopefully it will still be helpful for those not doing a factory order - thankfully the tech and options remained the same. Thanks for watching and taking the time to feed back your thoughts, and enjoy your new car!
