In Canada we use both "shrimp" and "prawn" but they refer to different things. Visually the most obvious difference is that shrimp have only one pair of claw-legs while prawns have three. There are a lot of other differences, though they aren't all true for all species. Shrimp are usually smaller and (at least the kinds we eat) are typically from saltwater. Prawns are usually larger, with much longer legs relative to their body size, and typically come from freshwater. So if you ever come to Canada, you're likely to see both shrimp and prawns on the same restaurant menus! Although if you look in the grocery stores things can get a little confusing, because we sometimes have products imported from the US which label prawns as "jumbo shrimp".....

_Chickenrat_ for example, is non-linear story telling, with Bingo's search for Fluffy happening forwards, but the background story about Bandit and the chickenrat egg being told backwards. Also, the episode _Bingo_ which momentarily renames the whole show _Bingo_ does a very Pythonesque job of screwing around with the opening titles. I dearly hope that both blew some young minds 😀
I make the distinction to people that there's "children's" entertainment and "family" entertainment where the difference is if it also contains things for the adult watching along. Bluey is FIRMLY in the 'family' category and more akin to Laika studios' work or Aardman Animation than Cocomelon or similar.
Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure dives surprisingly deep into the lore of the Tangled world, and it gets pretty dark too! I'd love to see a theory about the Sundrop and the Moonstone.
If you liked that show then you’ll probably like this book called Bring Back What Once Was Mine. It goes into what would’ve happened if rapunzels mother drank a potion made from the moondrop flower instead of the sundrop. It gives rapunzel killing powers instead of healing. I highly recommend this book!
It does get dark. Rapunzel using the Wither and Decay incantation, veeeery interesting the whole thing with Cassandra, and Queen for a Day and Varian... I freaking love Tangled: The Series, even though I thought it was going to a dumb little kids show and postponed watching it for years! I just started watching it October of last year or something, and it's actually worlds better than what I thought! Not to mention the hidden stuff about the magic of the world. It also fits in with Frozen II's canon, having the same elements of nature thing, the Sundrop being the Sun spirit/whatever, and that being Raps. The Moonstone doesn't have anyone that has it in them, even when Cass had the Moonstone, she was just using it and was not to be considered the Moonstone or Moon spirit herself. There is SOOOO much to talk about and so much I have to say, but gosh, really, Film Theory needs to say something about TTS/RTA!!!
My bf (childless young adult guy) was babysitting our dog for a week and got bored at our house so he ended up doing nothing but binging one piece and bluey and got through like 50 episodes in that time. I was skeptical at first when he wanted me to watch it with him, but he convinced me and now we watch a couple episodes together every time I get back from school to visit home. It’s just so wholesome.
I love the fact that the most realistic theory that would come out of this isn't some horror story about humanity-but that humans never existed to begin with...Good boys deserve happy endings... Humanity loves dogs too much to give them a sad ending in a show like this...and I couldn't be happier for it.
10:26 I can instantly disprove that, modern dogs (and cats) as well as other canines, evolved from the same rodent like creatures, Miacis, which derived from our rodent ancestors long before there were any monkeys Edit 12:30, I can also disprove that one too, in your words, humans died off “thousands” of years ago, and the next super continent, Pangea Proxima, isn’t predicted to form for the next 250 million years, and new life forms (like humans) could have evolved in less than a tenth of that time
I would love a Backyardigans theory. It was my favorite show growing up, and it's very similar in concept to Bluey; I'm sure Mat could make a great theory off it!
If this universe is correct matpat would’ve been implying that there were events such as ww2 and ww1 also implying that people like Adolf and Stalin had a counter part in this universe and ALSO implying that there are also wars on drugs, terror, etc. there I made your theory darker you are welcome.
yes i agree i was just about to write that owl house being on a giant decomposing body being a feasible living/decomposing island would be a great way to teach biology. also... just the numerous different forms of life that exist in the owl house.
I'd personally like to see more Bluey theories. Less of the dark post-apocolyptic kind, and more about the Heeler family history. How rich are Bandit's parents (and then why isn't Bluey's family that well off). What happened to Jack's mum? Etc.
...do people think the Heelers are poor? They own a big house in an upmarket Brisbane suburb, they're having work done to the garden involving tradies, Bandit even says "I hardly ever go to work" or something like that in an episode. I've always assumed that Bandit is either tenured, published a book that brings in a LOT, Chilli actually manages the security at the airport where she works, or they have dollarbucks out the wahzoo. Even if you assume the Heelers are poor, maybe it's Rad's fault, the shiftless beach bum ;)
@@alastaircollins1145 It's hard to tell, really, but with episodes like Hammerbarn pointing out problems with the house and... I don't know, they just generally give out vibes of working hard for what they have and maybe not struggling, but not exactly loaded. My running theory is that Bandit's parents are loaded (living on the Sunshine Coast) and helped Bandit and Chilli buy their expensive house. While Chilli's family comes from not much money in the country, so she insists her and Bandit pay their own mortgage.
for the show suggestion: an octonauts theory would be amazing! you got green bunnies in the main cast, really unique tech, some bipedal and some non-bipedal animals but all of them are sentient and talk, and then the rest of main characters themselves have a LOT of things to theorize about. the show itself is also quite fun to watch. octonauts needs some theorizing STAT!
Nah Bluey for 2 year olds and no parents bout to watch it. I'd be embarrassed if I was a 16 year old wanting to have a birthday off of it... Just not living anymore
I always wanted a theory on Strawberry Shortcake and her friends when I was a kid. What kind of world do they live in? Why are they so small? How can they communicate with animals and insects? So many unanswered questions, so little time
Sorry but Powerpuff Girls has even bigger mysteries... Like WHY was Professor Utonium cooking up children alone in his basement? Does Townsville have a fertility problem? What's going on? 😳
@The Dugan8r Haha, exactly. Like, what even is chemical X? Is there a real-world equivalent? Why are there living germs, and how did the Gang Green Gang come to be? Kinda interesting, ngl
Actually according to the show in a episode I forget which one, it was said the gangrene gang had a sort of skin condition, the ameobo boys, I'm not sure how they got big, but for the powerpuff girls it said in another episode that the professor was inspired at a young age when mojo Jojo from the future tried to destroy the professor but the powerpuff girls from the future saved the professor when he was a kid which made the professor want to create the girls, which like I said was confirmed in the show
There’s a theory that the reason Socks and Bingo at times act more like puppies than other characters their age is that cuz early-toddlers tend to have a “puppy phase,” which they age out of by the time they hit ~6 (Bluey’s and her friends’ age, cuz none of them have puppy tendencies).
@@SammyBH Do note it's a bit transitional. Bingo still howls when she's sad and even Bluey will bark at "enemies" approaching the house with her. It's possible that between the ages of 1 and 2 they will start running on all fours as a state between walking upright and crawling but they can still walk upright when very young.
Socks also doesn't use toilets like the others. In the episode bumpy and the wise old wolf hound socks squats to poop like dogs do. That is probably why even though she is one she doesn't have a diaper. She doesn't need one cause she goes outside like a dog would.
I have a theory for Bubble guppies, how are there only six or seven Mer people we see mainly, and how can they talk to a Gold fish. Probly cause it's molly's mind
I bet MatPat could do a theory about Max & Ruby’s parents and why they aren’t around, proving if their parents are actually dead or not (not that much evidence for the theory but still)
My theory is just that Socks is a really weird kid. My mom used to be a pre-K teacher, and she said that some kids pretended to be animals all the time. It would make since that he’s just a rambunctious, weird child.
I know im late on this, but I would like to correct Matpat saying earth would look completely different in 4 million years. I am a geoscience major, and the reconstructions I have studied do not suggest that would be the case. We have to remember that the world is large, and that tectonic plates are not free. They are perfectly put together like puzzle pieces with barely any (if any) wiggle room. Because of this, a tectonic plate must have a stronger force or different density than the plates next to it to move. If they are moving at most 15cm per year without another plate boxing them in, I could see this as a possible way that tectonic plates could make the earth look really different within 4 million years, though this scenario is almost impossible with real life plate configuration. Also, we have to remember how large the Earth is. 15 cm is nothing when seen from a map view. The climate and sea level of a region is more likely to make the earth surface appear superficially different within that 4 million year span. However, 4 million years is more than enough time for a extinction event, especially if only one species is becoming extinct. I have to give Mat credit on that bit. Thank you guys for putting put such intriguing videos.
with the leashes thing: in one episode, it's sort of revealed that cats are basically the equivalent to dogs (although we never see one) and they use leashes to walk their cats (bluey and friends were playing a make-believe game where they ran a pet shop). maybe this episode is only available in australia or maybe MatPat missed it.
A wild Kratts theory would be awesome. The tech and science showed there is so far ahead of our time right now. I’ve always wondered how that stuff worked
Y'know, if I had a nickel for every time MatPat talked about a kids' show about a blue dog and how it is hiding some sort of dark secret, I'd have two nickels, which isn't much but it's weird that it's happened twice.
6:45 “Animaniacs” would be a great show to cover. It’s about 3 humanoid-dog-cat like creatures called the Warner Siblings, and has several hilarious innuendos and jokes. Highly recommend for a theory, especially the 2020 reboot!
Well theres confirmd dark stuff about bluey confirmd By the creator like the miscarriage anyway Bluey is far more realistic than matpat nose anyway Bluey takes place in present day
There's also a theory suggesting there was a third child, due to how the mother reacts to Bluey pretending to be a mom by having a ball under her shirt, but it suddenly pops. The father also immediately grasps the mom's hands to comfort her afterward.
I strongly believe that May should do a theory on how the Heeler Family gets it’s money. Seeing the theory’s out there already, Mathew would have a field day with that one.
@@pleasedontwatchthese9593 I believe the theories go into the idea that making more money than the jobs the parents have in the same way that people don't buy that the Simpsons can maintain the lifestyle they have off of the wages made from Homer's job 🤔
Two things one I always love how he makes us think so much about his theories and then he’ll be like oh well that’s just a theory and then also I think you should do miraculous ladybug next
My theory is that they're actually people and the girls are just seeing themselves and everyone around them as dogs. Kids "play puppies" all the time. It's interesting to think about.
The fact that the Blueyverse’ timeline likely occurs relatively similar to our timeline means that there was a Bluey Vietnam war, WWII, WWI and the Cold war which happened as well as every other historical events. Just something fun to think about
I know why MatPat has been watching it so much. It turns out that Bluey not only wants to teach kids life lessons, but it teaches parents parenting lessons. He may even find it useful for raising his son without even knowing. He says that he even starts using "biscuits" the same way as the characters do, which can show that he might be picking something up. Sorry, school is turning my yt comments into opinion writing paragraphs.
its so crazy how media has an influence on us like that lmao. there are so many shows & stories that have genuinely made me reflect on my actions. I wish more parents would watch bluey and learn a little!
MatPat should do a theory on Craig of the Creek, now that it's Creek Week. The show has an immense amount of lore on the level of Amphibia, and it has a lot of childhood based mysteries, so it fits this channel.
It can be a dark twist: if evolution and progress were exactly the same, then that means that there is no real advantage to them being dogs, meaning their traits are not different from ours - meaning there are more humans and dogs 😱 they are not dogs after all 😱
@@zviazran8275 Well, he did end the video with pointing out all the impressive traits dogs have that humans don't, which was his reasoning for the monkeys to turn into dogs instead of humans, so he implied these dogs are better evolutionarily than humans. (Not that I put stock into that theory)
Can we all just appreciate the intro, and how they made the classic Film Theory intro music into a Bluey-sounding intro? What a throwback, I can’t remember the last time he’s used that intro.
my favourite bluey theory is that since it’s told from the perspective of bluey, it’s actually just a child’s imagination/pretending that their family is dogs.
I'd LOVE to see MatPat's take on The Amazing World of Gumball. So much craziness to unpack, but it's a legitimately clever show that's just as entertaining for adults as it is for kids
I believe that MatPat should make another Phineas and Ferb theory, possibly about if the show taking place over multiple summers or every day is a time loop.
yup! i agree, she seems to be just developing slower than bluey did, she's past bluey's baby stage physically, but mentally/emotionally, she acts younger.
I think it's been co firmed that they were supposed to act like dogs as baby then as people when they got older. But the creator changed his mind when making the baby race episode
To Matpat: The original seasons of Thomas The Tank Engine and friends (around seasons 1 to 7) had episodes based on the railway series, written by the Reverend W. Awdry. These stories mirrored the transitions from steam to diesel trains happening on railways at the time the stories were written, in the form of most diesel engines in the show being portrayed as the antagonists. It is also shown in the show and books that steam engines that live outside the Island of Sodor, where the show takes place, are scrapped, meaning they are ripped and burned alive. In the show, we can see several scrapped steam engines, rusty, lifeless, corpses. These themes were toned down from the books, where we can see conscious steam engines being scrapped. The original Thomas seasons would be be really interesting to see in a film theory.
I bet he could make parallels to I, Robot, or Robots earlier models of an artificial slave labor force being fazed out and replaced. Upgrades people, Upgrades.
Yes!!!! Most of the other comments are talking about shows I feel like MatPats kid is to young for still, like Owl House and Adventure Time. But Thomas is such a good show for Bluey-Age children.
Please do Wordgirl. Specifically the Narrator, who seems to be completely aware of the fact that he's in a fictional show and has been shown to be able to read characters' minds, see what is happening in several entirely seperate places at once, and control who can and can't hear him speaking, among other things. This mf has always fascinated me ever since I was a kid, I would love to see you try to figure out what his deal is
There's a show that I used to love when I was younger (and still love to this day,) called Odd Squad. It's a live action kids show with very funny jokes and a LOT of lore. And I mean a LOT.
Total drama has multiple roads for theories some examples: What makes Chris snap between seasons 3 & 4? Could the show stay on the air in universe and if so how? How many laws are broken throughout the series? There's probably a lot more options for theories but these three are the first to come to mind for me.
I'd love a Kaleidoscope theory. There is so much lore behind this show it is insane. Everyone gets a different order to watch the episodes before watching the heist
Theory: The bluey verse is actually ours but told from bluey (and bingos in one episode)s perspective, and they just happen to imagine themselves as dogs
If I had a nickel for every time matpat made a dark theory about a kids show starring a blue dog I’d have 2 nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
My niece is obsessed with Bluey, and honestly it’s the one modern show for small children I can honestly appreciate. I love how the kids act like pretty normal kids - complete with their tendencies to hyperfixating on a specific interest sometimes and being in their own little worlds - while the parents have a more dynamic presence in the story than to just exist in their kids’ own little worlds or be a means of conflict (there was this silly little one where Bingo was trying to create a pretend meal that mimicked the one the parents were making, and it included the parents chilling and enjoying themselves, while sometimes getting impacted by Bingo’s shenanigans, but neither being an active presence or conflict in it.) It’s very reflective of how my experience has been helping raise my niece - she’s often in her own little world, and sometimes I’m a part of it directly, but most of the time I’m just following along and watching her vibe and live her best life and kind of trying to figure out what on earth is happening.

Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure dives surprisingly deep into the lore of the Tangled world, and it gets pretty dark too! I'd love to see a theory about the Sundrop and the Moonstone.
I’ve been asking for that theory as soon I watched and finished the series such a great watch
Rapunzel is hot as an animated character in 2D! I love _Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure_
If you liked that show then you’ll probably like this book called Bring Back What Once Was Mine. It goes into what would’ve happened if rapunzels mother drank a potion made from the moondrop flower instead of the sundrop. It gives rapunzel killing powers instead of healing. I highly recommend this book!
yesssss
This show is the pride and joy of Australia it’s so cute and fun
Bluey despite being a kids show has made me laugh very loud a few times, and it is surprisingly mature at times.

10:26 I can instantly disprove that, modern dogs (and cats) as well as other canines, evolved from the same rodent like creatures, Miacis, which derived from our rodent ancestors long before there were any monkeys
Edit 12:30, I can also disprove that one too, in your words, humans died off “thousands” of years ago, and the next super continent, Pangea Proxima, isn’t predicted to form for the next 250 million years, and new life forms (like humans) could have evolved in less than a tenth of that time
I would love a Backyardigans theory. It was my favorite show growing up, and it's very similar in concept to Bluey; I'm sure Mat could make a great theory off it!
bro dont ruin it

If this universe is correct matpat would’ve been implying that there were events such as ww2 and ww1 also implying that people like Adolf and Stalin had a counter part in this universe and ALSO implying that there are also wars on drugs, terror, etc. there I made your theory darker you are welcome.

I'd personally like to see more Bluey theories.
Less of the dark post-apocolyptic kind, and more about the Heeler family history. How rich are Bandit's parents (and then why isn't Bluey's family that well off). What happened to Jack's mum? Etc.
He should move to sitcoms
Maybe do an episode on how father ted is secretly in the IRA
I love the ‘heeler parents are smugglers’, theory pahaha, also same here!
...do people think the Heelers are poor?

Basically, bingo, don't be a snitch!
I think it’s the same as a tattle tale.
Bluey is one of the few kids shows that is easily watchable for all ages and is actually entertaining and not annoying. Every parent should watch it.
Well not literally every parent.....
@lShowSрееd shorts 🅥 but this is a bot
Nah Bluey for 2 year olds and no parents bout to watch it. I'd be embarrassed if I was a 16 year old wanting to have a birthday off of it... Just not living anymore
Am I the only one who hates it?
The kids are egoistic, the parents have Stockholm Syndrome and Bluey with Bingo don't know when to stop
Not to mention it's safe without the Disney grooming that goes on with all their programming.
I definitely want to see this one
Actually according to the show in a episode I forget which one, it was said the gangrene gang had a sort of skin condition, the ameobo boys, I'm not sure how they got big, but for the powerpuff girls it said in another episode that the professor was inspired at a young age when mojo Jojo from the future tried to destroy the professor but the powerpuff girls from the future saved the professor when he was a kid which made the professor want to create the girls, which like I said was confirmed in the show
Wats that one show called, I think yoyadaba
There’s a theory that the reason Socks and Bingo at times act more like puppies than other characters their age is that cuz early-toddlers tend to have a “puppy phase,” which they age out of by the time they hit ~6 (Bluey’s and her friends’ age, cuz none of them have puppy tendencies).
But now that socks acts more human so I don’t know if it checks out
@@SammyBH Do note it's a bit transitional. Bingo still howls when she's sad and even Bluey will bark at "enemies" approaching the house with her. It's possible that between the ages of 1 and 2 they will start running on all fours as a state between walking upright and crawling but they can still walk upright when very young.
No magic spook scuba do that but part 2
Socks also doesn't use toilets like the others. In the episode bumpy and the wise old wolf hound socks squats to poop like dogs do. That is probably why even though she is one she doesn't have a diaper. She doesn't need one cause she goes outside like a dog would.

@Elliot Weyher It's an old cartoon and the main characters are Maz & Ruby which the show is named
max and ruby's parents are in the newer ones, but it'd still be neat
And the people are bunnies

I think there was a special where the parents were there. I remember seeing a commercial for it a couple years ago.
