Greetings. I tried to reproduce your tutorial with some differencies for my projects purposes, and got some problems. But i found the solvations and want to share with all of you: 1) time of physics calculating was sooo long, it took hours 2) the objects, which had to be filling the container were flying away or falling through the borders of main container The main thing is to use Convex Hull as Shape (Physics Properties ---> Collisions) for filling objects instead of Mesh (as you and the other artists adviced to use) and in Physics Properties ----> Sensitivity use Collision Margin checkbox. The Container object uses Collision -----> Shape - Mesh (as you told) By the way my filing objects had a shape of twisted macaroni, and the main container has a plastic bag shape. After this the simulation tooks only 1 minute and completed correctly. Thanks for your tutorial and Cheers!
When he mentions 'press space' then bridge edge loops. It didn't work on mine, the space bar controlled the timeline. Press 'F3' instead! that worked for me :)
Worth noting that for this go go smoothly the scale of the obj must be in the meter range. At time of this writting Blender struggle with physics of small obj. Just in case someone watch this is like me struggling for hours with impossible rendering time ^^
Nuevamente muchas gracias!!!
Hey! Yes, completely agree; I've added shortcuts in the new videos plus I'm working on my editing so there should be less desync issues. I really appreciate the help! Thanks!
It is just the rigid body physics only with different way of duplicating the objects. You can just array and separate it instead of copying objects multiple times.
2:20 before applying the screw modifier, activate "merge vertices" so you dont need to manually merge the vertices ! You can also use a weld modifier after the screw, or if you dont want to use a modifier to merge the vertices, in edit mode, select all vertices (A) and then press M and choose merge vertices by distances, then adjust the merge distance to delete the vertices :) We can also activate the 3Dprint addon to see if faces are overlaping, select the intersection and merge the vertices in the selection - there are tons of ways to do the same thing in blender, that's what make it so powerful !
Theres a downward < on the modifiers, click there and youll see the apply option. And a comment up there said in this version you need to press ctrl a to make instances real
Physics sims are what separate capable computers from potatoes. Unfortunately, I have a potato. But this was nonetheless very, very useful, since I don't need to do animations with my objects, I just need to get them into the container once. Thanks!
Hey, the tutorial is pretty good, but as a beginner get issues.. i am not able to copy the physic to all the balls, only one ball is getting animated.. Please Help
Hell yeah, agreed; whatever funds I get from youtube or gumroad I invest them directly back into youtube, so your subscription and like is mega appreciated!
I see you just started this channel. I'm new to Blender but I see you have a pretty novel approach to things. Great stuff. Looking forward to more content from you.
Hey Tadej, which CPU do you have? Because I have an older CPU i7-2600 with 24 GB RAM and 1070 ti GPU and I get stuck at frame 3 every time I try to start the animation. Is my computer sufficient for the job or am I doing something wrong?
Hi, thanks for this tutorial - I have a question: I've used your technique to create and fill a small glass bottle with pills. Everything works just fine. I line up around 250 pills vertically above the bottle, put my funnel in place, run the animation and the bottle fills up with pills. BUT: I now want to make COPIES of the filled-up bottle with all the pills inside, and arrange them in a scene, add labels to the bottles, move them around, light them, render them, etc. etc. But I simply can't do this! If I try to group the bottle with the pills inside, and then make a copy, my viewport simply reverts back to the 1st frame of the animation, with the bottle empty and the pills above. I cannot do ANYTHING with the filled bottle! It's driving me CRAZY. Any chance you can help - offer any advice or guidance?
Hey thanks for the tutorial but i have one question: When I try to play the animation in my viewport the animation bar is runnig forwart put the frames dont have enought time to load so I have to skip to every single second to load the animation. I there any way to load the complette animation how it is in your tutorial? Thanks for help!
hey there! Sure, go under properties panel, go under scene, rigid body world, Cache and you'll have the option to bake the animation from frame 1 to 250. If you don't need that much you can go lower down the second number. Hope this helps!
@@blatadej5474 Thanks that solved my problem! But can I change anything so that the animation plays like in your video? so that the next frame only starts playing when its completly loaded and if not the animation stops briefly? so that I dont have to bake it before. I missed how you did that you click on one cube, do nothing and click the other cube and go to instancing and before you know it the 1st 'cube' has instanced 2nd cube on its faces...... (no matter how slow I watch your video it isn't clear)
what is the other way to use instead of Shift Control A? my keys doesnt respond to the the hot keys you used. Or can you show me how to set my hot keys?
It's probably because we are using different keying sets; you can check on Google how to change your keying set or search for functions with the search.
Thank you for the tutorial. I have a question. Your simulation is about 10 times faster. Did you speed up the video? As I heard Blender uses only one CPU core, no speaking about GPU physics calculation. So it is exteeeamely slow! Furthermore my objects go through the container. Playing around with the margins but won't help.
Strange, but the same scene made not in mm but relatively big in m calculates very fast. Even though I set margins proportionally about 1/1000 from the real size it really freezes with small objects. So it won't work for small objects. Also it messes if there is anither collection hidden with rigid bodies.
@@vavalexus As for the viewport speed no, I haveN't sped up anything, I usually make a point when there's a process that's sped up so that if anyone would like to, they can check it slowed down. When it comes down to margins it's worth to correct the rigid world and rigid body margins, check for any problems in the mesh, in the objects that fall into the mesh, etc.
Hi Bla Tadej - Thank You for tutorial. I had use it to one projct to fill bucket by objects (simple, not many faces). First scene has done perfect with 70 copies !!!. But something went wrong with Blender becouse thene I did another - but with different objects (also simple) and Blender stack in 1 frame of bakeing . Even if I have only 5 objects (!!!sick). Even if i start from scatch (!sick) . Do You have any suggestions what could happened ?
Hey Bernard! So I can't know for sure until I see your file; if you'd like to, feel free to dm me on Instragram and we can arrange an exchange of files so I can take a closer look.
bro if I want to texture all of them like emojis can we do that in blender and how? please can you show because in cinema 4d we have a multi shader but I am just switching to the blender and finding this difficulty any help from others will suffice.
Very nice kind of what I was after but kan you add an particular seris of object of different sizes and colours, from a special keyframe. I can creat them at the begining but they then have to fall from realy high up and the get a lot of speed. Keyframes and physics does not blend so good togheter.
How do you get the mesh from curve menu?...not working for me. Not at all sure what you are saying. Sounds like "Alt C"....but I get nothing with that. You need to turn on the screen keys so we can see what you are doing. at least then we will know what are the right keys. Great videos though. Thanks for them.
