Lufthansa's *NEW* First Class--A Bed AND a Seat! Boeing 747 Frankfurt to San Francisco

- Lufthansa has upgraded its first class on the B747 with BOTH a bed and a seat. Only the B747 has this; not even the A380 has both. The A380 only has a seat that turns into a bed. But on the Boeing 747 service, you get both a bed and a seat. The beauty of the bed is that when you turn on your side, you can look directly out the window and see the sky! It is pretty incredible. Most first class seats, when you lay flat, you only see plastic-the head is shielded so you don't see anything. But with the B747 LH first, you turn your head and you're looking straight out the window! My company paid for a business class ticket, and I upgraded to first using miles. I hope you enjoy it!

The 747 400 Bed+Seat. They removed First on all 744s and changed the config to 3 class with their sub par Business as the only premium product. Honestly, North American airlines offer a better Business product then Lufthansa.

I must confess: this product beats EK´s suites by miles. As a professional window looker though: was the view reduced being a bit far away from the window? Well, the advantages of this incredible bed make up for it,I am sure. What space and style. And what food! I looove their etagere, the veal and their creative desserts!

Just discovered your videos, and absolutely love them! You, like me, have an almost child-like wonder at air travel, airplanes, and the royal treatment one gets in first/business class. As a child, I remember when air travel was something rare and exotic, taking me to far off lands of excitement and adventure. Somehow that feeling has stayed with me now 40 years later. I wish I travelled as much as you, but until my next trip, it's wonderful to experience it vicariously through your eyes.Cheers!

OMG WHAT LUXURY!! A proper full size bed, pajamas, slippers?!?! I think Lufthansa is an outstanding airline and is quickly becoming one of the top airlines. Not quite as outstanding as Emirates or Singapore Airlines, but pretty darn close! Wish I could have traveled to SFO at Xmas like this - it would have made it far more durable!!! Thank-you for all of your videos, I thoroughly enjoy them. If I had a decent camera I would film my trips. I have to say that i love Lufthansa. I have been flying with them for years. I was very pleasantly surprised this last time. I just got back from a trip to Paris and on my way back to Abu Dhabi from Frankfurt, I was given a free, yes free, upgrade to first class!!! It was amazing!! It was on a 330-300, but very nice. I guess fidelity has it's rewards!! Ich liebe Lufthansa!!!

What a great product and a great report! A seat and a bed ... I can't believe it. It's too bad they gave it up on the A380 and B747-8, too much space waste probably to be profitable. The first class terminal, the food, upper deck ... it really must be an incredible experience! I am so highly amused by your comments. Pretty much like a child opening his present on Christmas morn. Good for you. Working in the industry (my current meal-giver is not LH) for 36 years now with an Asian, a US and now a European carrier ( I am European of asian descent) it must be a joy having you as a passenger. And to your other comment about being multi-lingual -here in the European civil aviation industry, it is a MUST that airline/airport employees speak at least 2 languages, and is no rarity that a lot of airline folk speak 3 or 4 languages (I do 5).

What a data stoic product and video! Just incredible. Not even the other airlines' A380 suites get that much room. I really hope that one day when I'm older I'll at least get to fly business once. At the moment I'm contented with going to Italy in economy, but this sure makes me envious. Can't wait till another month goes by and your next videos comes out.
