I recently did a trip from Canada to Europe that had 6 flights and I used points to do them all on Lufthansa Business class. It was fantastic and I couldn't have chosen a better airline for this experience. No line-ups for anything anywhere, no crowds, no waiting, first on and off the plane (so is your luggage), spacious seats, excellent meals and drinks, showers and meals in the lounges...I tell you, once you fly Business, theres no going back to economy...until you run out of points, lol !
Dont be afraid to lift the camera up. Watching the floor is kind of boring. Show the cabin, describe the seats in business class, show where you are setting. And dont just show the wing for hours.(I know you didnt, but so many people do.
Great job! You got this chance to fly on Lufthansa's Boeing 747-8 Upper Deck Business Class. The scene at 4:09 is indeed the A380 of my hometown airline, Singapore Airlines. I really miss the Singapore Airlines 747-400, even after they retired it last April. The 747 is the most beautiful plane I've ever seen.

I thoroughly enjoyed your video. You took your time with the menu and the food shots were right on. I enjoyed the approach and landing - you kept the camera good and still, not always easy on a plane. I think maybe you went a little too fast in the lounge at LAX, but I was able to get a good sense of it. All in all a great job and I look forward to your next video!

Very nice trip report. I'm only 18 and i fly allot! I'm actually from Frankfurt, but my parents are from the states and they work for Lufthansa and Star Alliance, so it's easy for me to get over there and of course only Business Class ;)

Re the ear plugs - the 747-8i may be up to 60% quieter than a normal airplane - the downside of this is that you'll hear the snorers. Earplugs certainly have their uses still! :)

By the way, I'm completely jealous that you got to fly Lufthansa's 747-8 business class. I think of all the airlines, that probably ranks at the top of my list to fly. As a kid, I used to fly Lufthansa all the time, but never in business class. Lucky you! I hope to sometime soon... Hope you had a wonderful time.....
From 85C you should be able to see the wing. If you want some peace and quiet you should go any where in Business Class seats 10-14. Its a very quiet area of the plane.

If I could offer you one suggestion, it would only be to slow down a bit with the camera... give the viewer a minute to look at what you're trying to show. You sorta just jump every second from one view to the next, without giving the viewer a few seconds to really look at it. Don't take it the wrong way... I think it's awesome that you spent the time to put this together for us! Welcome to the club, and make sure you do lots more!! BTW, I did the SFFlyer and Homer tributes, too! Legends! lol

Just because of the way a certain set of pilots lands a certain plane is not representative of the entire airline’s pilots and the “quality of the landing”Additionally another criticism is that that camera view is not the pilot’s perspective because that camera is likely on the nose gear and from what I have seen I don’t think pilots are allocated to the the nose gear. I also would like to mention in most ( I am saying most as I have not encountered a amenity kit without lotion or as you call it cream) amenity kits there is lotion. One thing I forgot to mention is that most airlines still provide earplugs( I again have not encountered an amenity kit in which earplugs are not received) even if the plane is like a Airbus A380 or the Boeing Dreamliner where the engines are superbly quite. I would like to add to my first statement that the way a certain airline crew does something is not representative of the entire crew in that specific department, job, and/ or task.

I will admit that, yes I did comment a little too much. But this was the first time going on the 747-8. From the beginning of the year I knew so I got really excited.
@Ted. Not sure how they decide which runway to use at LAX. I fly UA and AA exclusively and 75% of my takeoffs are on 25R. However, I rarely see Virgin or Southwest leave from the "south complex," so it may be related to which airline you fly.

That's the old lounge (you missed the whiskeys stored in the back room). The new lounge is much nicer (even the food is better).
