Dude this is so inspirational actually. I don’t have the craziest gear. Only two actual camera lights and some other equipment but watching this and seeing how you used your crew and gear to make some crazy good looking shots without breaking the bank really got me to wanna make something. And honestly I might right now…. Who knows ;)
@@miq015 Really appreciate this man! You really don't need much, it's all about working with what you've got! So definitely go and make something, you can only get better from it! 🙌
man you are great. its was so inspirational. i learnt lot many important thing from your video. keep doing this kind of stuff in future also. god bless you
Nice work! Don't take it as criticism for me 3:18 to 3:22 looks more NETFLIX (layers and contrast) rest looks great, but for a night scene, it is a bit over-lit for my taste. The Wandering DP has a great breakdown of movie scene layers and contrast between light and dark.
I came here looking for this comment! I agree it looked better before the bounce, it sold the night time effect, if I were gaffer I'd cut the bounce down about 60% if needed at all
Thanks Kevin! Really appreciate the feedback. You've got a good point there! In the final grade though the image is pulled darker. The bounce is just to make sure the shadows aren't completely crushed. But in hindsight, that bounce could have been at lower output yep! 👍
Really cool video, man! It cleared up a lot of things, but could you show in practice how you choose the camera settings, like aperture, ISO, log, and so on? How do you go about selecting and adapting them?
2:43 by the time you plan to darken the room and experimenting with multiple options and finally finish sticking with garbage bags, it would already be night 😜
A whole film class in under 16 minutes! I appreciate it! Managing all that information and create a great BTS video is not easy, thank you bro! I appreciate your effort
such a good BTS video. As a viewer i would have gladly stayed to watch the end result at the end of this video. As a creator, it might be a good strategy to test and see how avd does, of course you’d need to hint at it in your hook. Anyways very enjoyable and informative video, i would buy an indie solo film making course from you if you.
Thanks so much man, really happy to read this! Actually, I never thought about the avd like that. I just wanted to release the film on its own and at the time of releasing this BTS it wasn't finished yet! But it will be up in the next days! 🙌
Amazing!!!!!! I’ve been using an fx30 for the past 6 months (my first ever camera) with a sigma 18-50, can you recommend another lense which could potentially step up my game?? Any help would be greatly appreciated 👌 Subbed 👊
Thanks a lot Johnny! And thanks for subbing! 🙌The FX30 is a great camera, hope you enjoy it! I think the 18-50 is already a pretty versatile lens to begin with. You could possible look into something more towards the telephoto side or perhaps even a prime lens, like an 85mm or so.
@@KALINAmoto It would work to get a similar shot, but you wouldn't have the technical and optical specs of a proper camera and cine lens and shooting in a certain profile (S-Log 3 in this case).
@@tomaszbejnarowicz I'll take note of your preference but lots of others also first show a BTS and then the actual film! Eitherway, it won't be long now before it's online! ✌️
That’s a good point, but movies that take a long time to finish is because of Vfx, crew, and because there are multiple characters, and lots of retakes
I don't think I can adequately express how amazing the effort you all put into this project is. The breakdown was presented well and I appreciated seeing how you started and finished. Congratulations and well done.🫶🏽✨🥰

Nice! I always work alone, it's awful, a 5 person crew looks awesome!
It really is, there is always so much to do on set that even 5 people is a limitation!
You broke down this film sooo well🎉❤ love from kenya, Nairobi🎉

Honestly I didn`t hear nothing with what is happening on the screen here.
The answer is clearly no.. The lighting and lens choice feels more like a low budget commercial
Gotta get that negativity out your heart
