I love the new Mercedes-Benz GLE! 🙂 What an amazing, elegant ride with such a practical interior. It is the perfect cruiser, especially on long trips. I always say it is an E-Class sedan if it was an SUV, and has quite a few luxury features the E-Class does not have and does do some things better if not the same. It earned the *E* in the *GLE* name. If I had a family or wanted to transport a lot of things all the time, I would happily buy the new GLE. For now, the E-Class sedan is on my radar. Just like the A-Class, the GLE is still so new and unmatched after being out for a while. Like the previous GLE, It will be long until it needs to be updated. Nice video, Nick. I would like a video explaining how to use the dashcam in the 2021 E-Class facelift. Also excited for when you get your hands on the new 2022 C-Class and EQS. On Monday, Mercedes-Benz premiers another EQ model, I believe. The EQB is my guess. 👌
I love the GLE too such a smooth ride! I’d love to do a dashcam video but unfortunately it’s not available here in the UK. It is however on the S-Class in the UK and I did briefly cover it in the S-Class. I hope it would be similar whereby it works with a USB stick plugged into the multimedia system.
Thanks Nick for making me aware that the GLE is the new name for the ML. I was just wondering all these while why the ML went out of production. Nice information from you. Mercedes should pay you to be their PR
Great job Nick! I just bought a '22 GLE 450 and really happy with it. It has more features than I imagined! One thing that's bugging me (and maybe you can help me) is that every now and then, an icon appears on the heads-up display and I have no idea what it means. I can't find it in the manual and my sales rep didn't know either. It's a picture of car in a green circle. Have you seen that before? TIA.
Thanks Ryan! Glad you enjoyed the video! Ooo very nice! A GLE 450 👍🏼 I don’t recall seeing a photo of a car with a green circle…is it there when you’re driving or stationary? If it appears while stationary, could you send a photo? “contact@npoleary.co.uk” 🤓
Hey Andrew, I’m pretty sure all cars come with airbags these days just in case of a crash. With Mercedes they can be found in the front, sides and sometimes rear too
Hi Nick, judging from your clips, you are a pro when it comes to MB GLE. You got anything on the 2023 GLE? I heard something about a facelift. I am considering going from an X5 to a GLE.

Pull that desire triger by showing complete rear end of the car, rear tyre width , front view , full side, half side ,45' of side . Tail lights on , break lights on , hazard lights on . Show the great presence of mercedes benz on the road by its beautiful lights . Show how they don't cut corners.
Hey Nwachinamere, Depends on the country to be honest! In the UK this doesn’t exist as I haven’t heard of it before. The reason for this can be due to emission regulations in the country or availability or even just customer feedback. It could even be down to fuel prices, most GLE’s in the UK are diesel mainly because of the fuel price per litre itself.
It depends on the spec and availability round the world (depends where you live, year if manufacturer) you’ll have to ask Mercedes and they can check it for you 🤓
Hi Randy, it depends on the spec of your GLE. It’s not an advertised option but most commonly if you have Augmented Reality, then there is a possibility you might be able to. For playback of video content on MBUX, go to 8:51 on this video: ruclips.net/video/tu_Aktw93v4/видео.html On the Spec Sheets look for: Code 548 - No Code 549 - Yes
Hi Nick I have an GLE and the 2nd row seat I brought it forward thinking I was laying it flat, but it only moved forward to allow access to the 3rd seat, but now i can’t put it back to its normal position. The hand book is not helping much.
There’s a chrome button on top of the seats to lift them up out of the floor. Pull up to raise the seat and push down to lock it back into place. Where are your seats now? Up high or laying down flat?
I wanted to lay the seats flat behind the driver and passenger, but I used the chrome switch and they moved forward, thinking it was to fold flat. So the seats are the in position for the child to get it and gives leg room for the 3rd row seats.OK SEEN IT NOW thank you for the reply
The GLE comes in two colour options for the seats: Black/space grey leather & Two-tone white/black in nappa leather But best to speak with your local Mercedes-Benz for up to date availability 🤓
Great video! I did not know the difference between the M class and E. I did not know that. Can you do a GLE 2021 4 Matic and or discuss the benefits of the front vs rear wheel drive. I think I am interested in a GLE 350 4Matic vehicle. Thanks
Hey Paul, each Mercedes model has a product life cycle of approx 6-7 years before they have an update / new model is launched with a facelift typically halfway through. So apart from spec changes the GLE will be exactly the same as the one in the video 🤓 When it has a facelift though, I’ll be sure to cover it on my channel! 👍🏼 In terms of 4-wheel drive system, Mercedes-Benz use 4MATIC. Now this does vary from model to model but in the GLE most commonly it’ll distribute the power evenly on a 50/50 (front/back). For a large car this ensures excellent grip in all conditions and most terrains too as it’ll turn 4 wheels instead of just the two.
@@npoleary Thanks for responding! So the 4 Matic could be a good idea to consider? Also, i forgot to ask about maintenance cost for the GLE. And od the SUV's which ones do you recommend the most particularly for everyday use and commuting etc. I would not want the 3rd row vehicle. Thanks
Hey Paul, really sorry I wouldn’t know the exact cost of servicing but if you get in touch with your local Mercedes, I’m sure they can help with that. If you don’t plan on doing any off roading or need the huge boot, you don’t have to get a large car especially if it’s just commuting. Large SUV’s are awesome but there are others which will be more economical. It just depends on what works for you to be honest. Large SUV’s are as economical and environmentally friendly as they can be but cars like Estates will have similar boot capacity but have reduced running costs. Plus if the 4MATIC is something of importance, you can also get that in Estates too 🤓 But if you did need the higher driving position and spacious interior then go for that 😎 Also the ride quality of them is superb!
Hi Nick, My GLE 400d did not come with a Burmester audio system. It wasn’t available as an option at the time of purchase 5 months ago, neither it is available now. The stock system is horrible to my expectations. Can you make a video on the audio upgrade options from stock? Also, I want to upgrade but fear of voiding my vehicle warranty by installing aftermarket upgrade holds me back. I want to upgrade but stuck. Any solution will be helpful.
Hey Farhan, Really sorry I haven’t ever been involved with aftermarket upgrades so I wouldn’t be able to advise or recommend anything. I know you can adjust the Equaliser menu for Treble, Mid & Bass which may help.
Just bought a 2021 GLE 350. Question about Active Lane Change. I put on blinker and the car moves automatically to that lane. The blinker however remains on until I manually reset. Shouldn’t the blinker reset automatically after the lane change is complete or does it need manual intervention ?
Hey Bryan, aha very nice! No it won’t automatically go off in this situation. Basically the blinker only turns off when the steering wheel has turned a certain amount usually going around a corner.
@@npoleary Had cruise on yesterday and put blinker on to change lanes but inadvertently didn’t push blinker arm all the way up . Car changed lanes and blinker went off. Did this a number of more times and it did the same thing. So it looks like if you don’t push blinker arm all the way up and just push upward until it starts blinking it will turn off after lane change is complete.
