I absolutely hate the head wedging aspect of the sliding doors, as we discussed. My future cages will have a drop down door and will see how that goes. Always enjoy your videos and input!
I use Animal Plastics enclosures exclusively and all of the ones I have are sliding glass... My OCD won't allow me to have a drop down, so I'm sticking with sliders. As always a fantastic video, straight to the point and full of useful information. Love what you're doing on the channel man, keep it up!
Damn FunkyAss, far too kind. Lol. I was the same as you, sliders and nothing else. Then I ran out of track on a build and decided to try the drop down. Rest is history. 😁
your videos have have me(a first time snake owner) so much..i like the drop down doors, and almost done with my boa's new enclosure. Thank you for all he info
I'm new to the snake world, and just bought my first ball python from a reputable breeder. I just wanted to shout out here that I've learned so much from your videos, and on topics i hadn't even thought of (like nose rubbing...thats a thing? Yup.) I also appreciate your tone and humor ;) Nice.
I fully agree...been trying to tell ppl This when not talking about venomous it's all about how u like it...I think u need a sliding when venomous so it is easy to open and shut with a hook but other then that I fully agree with u
What if you put the tracks for the sliding doors on that brace frame instead of in-front of it? Also what screws do you use or suggest for the PVC cages? Great videos!
Hi again. Love your videos. Just wondering if you could tell me why at 2:17 the snake in the middle tank is pushing between the gap. My retic has recently started this and was wondering if this is a bad thing. Thank you
In this case, the titanium is pushing due to the smell of dinner in the air. She typically does not push unless it is feeding day. There are several factors that make a tic to start pushing. Just a process of elimination.
The cages I'm building will have the drop down doors. I like the sliding doors for better viewing, but one of my snakes likes to jam her head in the gap too.
Hey Steve thanks for uploading. I was just having this convo with someone... A very close-minded "someone" lol. But you know how keyboard experts are....

Kool video, wut type of material is that last enclosure?
You the man!! Love your work thanks.
😁😁😁😁 Appreciate it Coty.
I just think sliding doors are more professional looking typically which is why I like them more.
Sliding doors all the way!
another great video am still trying to decide what one i want
Get one of each and decide from there on out. 😁
@@sghpest haha that was my thought too lol
My motley female has the same swelling from pushing her AP sliding glass enclosure in the same exact spot!!!
It's very frustrating. 😠

Your going to want 1 1/4 Fine Thread screws. I haven't had any splits or cracks when using those.

Great video and I like the drop down doors also I have had better results with them with cleaning and rubbing
Hate to use this word in reference to cleaning... but I LOVE cleaning the drop down door enclosures. Just so much easier. 😁

@@sghpest my wife was like "Did Steve read your convo?!" I told her I highly doubted it lmao, it's just that common of an argument.
