I can’t even tell you how thrilling it was to see the FLOWERS painting w/lovely card on this video and then look up to see it framed on my wall. Thrilling and oh so satisfying! Thank you again Sandi. (And Grady for the excellent packing)
Hi Sandi, so happy to see how my painting was prepared by you for travel to our home. We are so happy to have a piece of your art work. It sure won’t be the last. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Grady and Cooper.
I’m so glad you liked it Laura!!! It really changed a lot didn’t it!!! I still can’t believe I get to have one of my paintings hung in that gorgeous house of yours!!!!! Thanks again!!!
I get so excited for your new video each week. You never disappoint and I love seeing the pets. I never mind when Cooper scratches or makes noises; it's real life and that's one of the things that make your videos so charming.
Congrats on your sales, Sandi! It’s so wonderful that you have collectors and are getting to experience that kind of validation as an artist. I enjoy so much your passion for what you create and the care and thought you put into your process. It’s so inspiring to watch! Thanks so much for sharing your light and creativity with us! Big hugs from Oregon! -Tara Kate
Yes, Sandi --- thanks for showing the "sold" paintings before mailing --- they are wonderful! I'm sure the buyer will enjoy them on their walls! Now back to watching today's vlog...and learning new information and inspiration!!!
Love you " Purple flowers. " look like Iris. Purple Irises...lovely. the vases @ different shapes and " The Jar " view. Reminds me of the very first Specs. Soo kool. Love collages too! Thks Super Sandi
Sandi, I LOVE your new purple painting of the flowers! Of course, I am passionate about the purple family. Congrats on these sales. Your rockin' it sistah! Your pieces are always so amazing and inspiring!
Thank you Sandi, I been binge watcher your videos for a few months since I found your channel. So enjoy watching you paint with such enthusiasm and your positive attitude. Love your art.
I was ridiculously excited for the Friday video!🎉 This was great! When you were looking through the jar it made me think "Sandi needs one of those cool antique magnifying glasses in a big brass stand!" You could set it at varying distances for really interesting visual perspectives. I love when your cat makes a cameo appearance. 💗 He looks like such a sweetheart!
Hi Sandi,That has to be one of my favourite videos of yours,it had such a cosy feel to it,I almost felt like I was sat in your studio with you having a coffee😀Your work gets better and better, and that was a great tip about trying out compositions using cutouts,so glad you didn’t add the dark shape in the foreground,it wouldn’t of balanced, but it know that feeling of ....what if.Keep the videos coming Sandi,I look forward to them so much.Bye the way,I’m 4lbs heavier but loving using the peanut butter jar as a view finder 🤪🤣🤣🤣xx
Thank you for sharing your art and your artist's life with us. I have learned so much from you. I appreciate everything from your supply hauls, to your tutorial tid-bits to seeing your work on your walls, to learning your process and the list goes on. Thank you!
Yay! Purple in a painting ;) It looked great. I always try and leave a comment for support (ant YT algorithms) as I know the boost it gives to read lovely comments. I was going through some of my watercolours to see which ones I wanted to mount and sell in the shop where I have some artwork. Even though they're all just sitting in a drawer right now, there are some which I think "hmmm do I want to let them go?" But I guess if they make you money - and more space to paint! - then we should be happy to see them go to new homes where they will be seen.
Much love, Sandi! I always get so happy and inspired from watching your videos. It's so interesting to see the whole process and all the hard work you put in! I love that the buyer took the time to film the unboxing and showing us it's new home. It's such a wholesome and happy ending of this process. Thank you for making my Friday.
I guess it says something about how exciting my life is when I'm awake at 1:30AM and think, "Oh, it's Friday! Sandy will have a new video up today." I agree with the change on the painting. The pink diamond seemed to have regular edges compared to the other shapes, and it was right smack in the middle. Good change. I like how the purple and indigo work together without competing, and then the yellow and red kind of pops out. :) The white and neutrals are nice, too. You're reading my mind! I like how you lightened/brightened the lemons!
Thanks and congrats on another beautiful painting finding a new home! how wonderful…I absolutely love the purple flower painting. I tried the glass jar thing and couldn’t do it because I wear glasses already. I tried to take my glasses off and it just distracted me. Too fun. Dont you love when the fur babies come in. I have many fur babies. I love watching your channel for inspiration so thank you again! I look forward to a patreon channel or online class one day. Happy painting!
If I wore glasses I would definitely try taking them off and painting. But I could see how it could take time to get use to also. Thank you for your kind comments!
You keep inspiring me to be looser in style and not so precious with paper and my intentions. Then I pick up a brush, grip tightly, and go for more perfect then my skills support lol. Beautiful work and my favorite RUclips channel. You are a delight.

You always make me smile and have given me sooooo much inspiration I can't wait until my first ever lay flat sketchbook gets here....and I promise I'll share pics for you to see my work when I get to using it!! I really feel like you are honing in on your style and I am totally here for it! The purple flower painting is dope and you should make little prints of your paintings because I would love to have a couple of your prints I can pop up on the wall in a 4x6 frame.

since you like matte/satin paint, you would probably love either Milk Paint. or, even better, Casein. It's like a cross between Milk Paint, Gouache, and Acrylics. it's made from milk protein. it's very matte. it can be resoluble if applied thickly but will dry insoluble with time. it can be applied to any non-flexible support. if applied to stretch canvas it may crack or flake off unless applied thinly. paper attached to a board or canvas attached to a board. it can be buffed to a satin finish with a soft cloth. Jack Richeson Shiva Casein is the only brand that I know of, at least in the USA. you would probably like them. Dick Blick sells them and Jerry's Art-a-rama probably does to. you may have tried them before.
Hi Sandi! do you have any videos where you cover what type of boards you use to paint on and how you're prepping them? I've purchased some wood boards that have warped on me and I'm curious if I'm just getting the wrong wood.
I hate shipping too! It was part of a couple of my jobs in the past so maybe that's why. And even if you package it really well it can still get damaged. And I hate telling clients the price of shipping even though that's out of my control too. I don't even charge a "handling fee" for all of the products that I use in shipping because of that. I've streamlined the process a bit but still. Would love one of those label makers for shipping labels but not in the budget.
I'd like to ask one question about the red plexiglass that you sometimes use to look through to better assess the tonality of colors. I have green plexiglass. It doesn't seem to me to work as well as black and white photography. Some colors it definitely shows lighter than they are. Is it possible because I have green glass, does this red glass "work" without problems?
Another interesting video, and a good reminder to subscribe and give the thumbs up. I am subscribed, but have a tendency to watch videos when I’m not logged in, often streamed to the TV. I just gave your video a thumbs up, and I’m pretty sure it’s the first time I’ve ever done that for any video. It’s not been on my radar and I think the fact that you can watch videos without being logged in must throw off the algorithm….? Are the views by people who aren’t subscribed/logged in and don’t “like” the video “counted” in some way? Hmm….

Hi Sandi! do you have any videos where you cover what type of boards you use to paint on and how you're prepping them? I've purchased some wood boards that have warped on me and I'm curious if I'm just getting the wrong wood.
