- GCN’s track expert Manon has invited Blake and Rich from the Global Mountain Bike Network to the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales in Newport to take on the GCN team of her, Alex and Conor. There are three challenges - flying lap, slowest lap and scratch race. How do you think the GMBN boys will fare on alien terrain and who do you think will win the overall challenge?

Would be great if A presenter from GMBN and GCN outdo each other in an actual ROAD RACE and A Trail Track Time Trial (Dh would be better) Ofc no handicaps for pure bragging rights
Love to see either a keirin or a track sprint challenge. Having seen Blake’s power tests in previous videos, I suspect he has one hell of a kick.

You need to get Manon on a mountain bike, preferably at a bike park as she loved the gravel racing so time to step it up to the next level!
i really want to see a 4km team pursuit between GCN vs GMBN and GTN. everybody at the Velodrom fighting for glory, would be a good content video!

The GCN guys did my boys dirty! Giving them bikes with gears that short was like taking the roadies out to go jumping on locked out shocks.

Pretty sure those are just the stock hire bikes at Newport. You don’t get a choice of gear inches.

Blake and Rich were awesome and great sports to go way outside of their element. There is only one thing for it, GCN are going to have to go and play on GMBN's home turf!!
Pleased to see more track content from GCN, I’ve thought for a while it was a subject that deserves more exploration, track racing should definitely have more exposure.

Absolutely loved that video! Track is so nerve wracking at first! Seeing how comfortable Alex and Connor are now compared to the first time Manon took them to the velodrome was great and Blake and Richard did amazingly. It shows how a diverse set of experienced, strong and highly skilled cyclists from different disciplines in the sport will adapt and perform in a new setting. More track videos please Manon! 💪👌😊

I imagine that Manon would have matched or surpassed that back when she was pro, while weighing a lot less. Elite women track sprinters are generally over 1500W. Anna Meares had an 1800W sprint. The men push 2500+.

Some of the camerawork was exceptionally good! Some of the shots looked like the rider was following a sort of camera-durney (not sure if "durney" is the right spelling).
Anyhow, it was interesting to see Manon in her element and with the best-looking bike of the five of them. I think my Manon-crush got a bit deeper, though

Mannons Pinarello looks wicked good video looked like my first time on a fixie at the start gets some time to get your head around
And why did no one invite anyone from EMBN ( Electric Mobility Bike Network )I guess it may have been to difficult to ride a bike without motor assist.
I have a fixie it's tsunami snm100 my gear ratio is about 5.8 58t chainring and 10t cog most of my friends injured their knee after they ride it they have clicking knee which is bad for them but good for me because i built my legs strong and big my knee i built it Like stronger than a normal person my top speed is 69km/h although i have a slow start and yeah nobody rides my bike except me ❤❤

Been riding fixed gear for years, got about 2500 mi on it. This looks so amazing! We have an outdoor concrete velodrome, think it would be worth an hour drive to go?

Why don't they use freewheel on track bikes? You know like the one on single speed bikes or bmx?

At the San Diego Velodrome we "tempt" our riders with the spectators holding $1-$5 bills at the boards on our "slowest lap"
Does this qualify as REcycling? I enjoyed the one at GMBN. Anyway, since it’s offseason for road, I like that with Manson you brought more attention to track. But why not to bring same kind of energy and space to cyclocross content? CX guys are starring recently on road, many of us enjoy to watch CX in winter, so why to ignore it? 5 round challenge on muddy hilly crazy terrain with obstacles GMBN vs GCN. 4 vs 4? That’s what I would call Christmas! 😉
