    This video was the only one that showed me exactly how it all went back together. It’s really hard to keep track when the whole thing falls to pieces when you take the two bolts off! Thank you!!

      Dude, for real. I took mine apart to clean, and didn't realize the entire thing was held together with the two bolts on the outside of the airbox. Everything collapsed and I had no idea what the hell I was looking at. Video was very helpful.

      No problem man! I’ve taken the apart many times and I still struggle to put it back together. It would’ve been better if the bolts were studded with nuts on the end or have less gaskets. If I have to take it off again I may just throw some studs on.

    This helped me a ton. I just picked up a used mowed and it had this exact issue. I watched this and only had to take the thing apart once. Thanks!

    I’ve taken mine apart and cleaned the stem flute valves so many times. They get clogged up from all the dirt and dust. The filter helps but you still have to clean it periodically. I should use ethanol free gas but I don’t. The springs really need to be tensioned right or it will run too high or slow. The Honda engine is solid as a rock. Just the carburetors causes most of the issues. It’s either this or pay someone to mow my yard. I like mowing my yard though so there you go. Good video.

    Fantastic! This Honda GCV 160 I bought used and had been sitting for a while. Ran out of gas and of course, it ran rough afterwards. Happened upon your repair video - Very well done! and many thanks!

    Had the same issue. The long double side hooked spring that goes around the choke rod broke. Replaced it and forgot how it all went back together. This helped a lot. Now the damn thing starts rough and I have to finger the throttle/choke arm once it fires to get in the proper rpm’s. Hell if I get another four years from it after nearly a decade I’ll be happy with that.

    You need to re-shoot this video. The camera angels are way off so most the time the viewer is looking at your arm or the part is cut out of the frame. Your explanations of what to do are clear and well done. You will get more views if it is easier for viewers to see the connections and parts clearly.
    I have worked on this carburetor and it is hard confusing so I appreciate your effort

    Amazing Video Bro!!! Did exactly what you recommended and after a few pulls it cranked right up. Running amazing. Same engine as on my Ryobi GCV160 pressure washer. Now able to pressure wash the house. Btw- my pressure washer sat to long abd carburetor was all gunked up.

    Did exactly as you, failed to fix ! I just replaced carb, wax choke, last Apr and fixed it. But started surging < a yr of use. I’ll never buy a Honda powered mower again. I rebuilt carb on a Koehler motor and was forever fixed. Least Honda parts cheap online !! But makes no sense !

  • @davea5150
    @davea5150 9 месяцев назад +2

    You didn't clean the emulsion tube holes with a pin or any needle type tool to make sure all the small holes are clear same in the main jet.

    • @Bataha
      @Bataha  8 месяцев назад +2

      Good point. I shot air down the middle of the tube. Mine didn't have anything in the side holes so I forget to mention to visually check them and spray those out if theres stuff in there.

      Make sure the gaskets are in order and sealing. Next check the throttle linkages and springs, make sure they are in the right holes. From there check the idle screw.
