Just wanted to say thanks for this video. Sold me on the system. Picked up a gb124 with the wings and EW go this spring. Don't use it a ton but makes incredibly quick work of large areas in a small machine and solo operator.
Nice video.. I have many years on a motor grader with laser guided grade control.. This looks like it works well but would take some getting used to as far as set up..
Seems like the 2d setup is a lot of work just for one area. I have a hard time thinking of a time I have graded anything with one slope or flat. 3d is definitely the way to go. Topcons MC Mobile system is affordable and integrated.
It really doesn’t bog the engine, if the ground is really hard and you try to cut too much in a pass it will just rare the front of the machine up in the front a little. In that case you just change the offset on your cut to so that your taking less material at a time. When in Auto, you can still manually pull back on the stick and lift the blade gradually if you need to for that type of situation as well! Thanks
This looks nice but what are you even doing? Is this a parking lot? Baseball field? Are you trying to make everything level, sloped one way, crowning the area? What are you benchmarking from? It looks cool and you explain things well but it's hard to understand what you're doing, and in what context. I would love to get a better understanding of this. Thanks.
Hey Markus I don’t know the specifics of our deal as that was done above my head. I’d be glad to get you a Cat reps information if you need me to and pass along! Thanks for watching
so i see you changed the grade increments via the phone can't you use the little black buttons on each controller to do that ??? i suppose since the controllers are not synced with the phone it won't work that way ???
Hey Steve it may be an illusion from the skew of the GoPro lens. They do tilt a little front to back but not much and they are dead on side to side. Definitely not enough to hurt accuracy any. Thanks for watching
Half of the video is already over and all we've seen is him trying to set it up... we didn't need to see all that just show us how it works when you're grading dam it
Sorry you didn’t like it, the video was intended to help my operators repeat all the necessary steps to setup and operate the system. So unfortunately it was necessary footage that may be boring to some, however very useful for many. Thanks for watching

Thanks for watching!
Does it know what the engine is doing? Does the blade lift up if engine is bogging down?

What is the error tolerance of blade and laser system ?
We can get around +\- 1/4” with it. It’s great

It’s a building pad
