the Balts did not have wide distribution. this gun was made in the besieged Leningrad on the basis of PP so as to fill insufficient number of weapons on the front.
The Korovin model 1930 proto looks quite identical to Finnish Lahti L-35, but with fluted barrel. Wich one came first? Im quite sure Aimo J. Lahti had something on paper and in steel long before year 1935, that the gun was accepted to military use.
The Voevodin model 1939 exemplar seems to be engraved and offered to the Narkom (national commissar, which is soviet for "minister") of Defense comrade Stalin (one of many Stalin's titles I suppose) in august 1942. Otherwise, Korovin 1930 looks a lot like Nambu Type A Experimental, the Baltiets is quite a Walther PP etc. I do not mean the Russians were the only ones "copying", in firearms everyone can be "inspired" by everyone :)
what about soviet anti aircraft stuff? I dont know, May be you already made one, just drinking beer and watching your videos Better that TV well, WAY better ! :-)))
Токарев и коровин украли у Браунинга.Воеводин у японского Намбу.Макаров у Вальтера.Единственный Стечкин разработал с натяжкой но все таки оригинальную конструкцию.
+MR Pierre No it was more complicated than that . In short Valther PP is best simple blowback pistol so Soviet experimented with things and first version of future makarov slowly morphed in PP lookalike because you cannot really do better than PP with late 40'es technology
Korovin TK 6.35 is not a prototype, it was produced a lot. You can see a serial number on photo
Very nice of you to add notes about the makers when available
I think that "Baltietz" is the best Soviet pistol in WW2.

TT besten, than judo and karate!)))
Good work as always :) can you make a christmas special ? :)
The prilustky model 1914 Russian pistol. I didn't know the Russians were making semi automatic pistols during World War I

Of course caliber is different...
Very interesting subject. I'll have to watch it in its entirety at my first opportunity.

Thanks for this nice nice video
Is strange that the Tokarev 39/42 wasn't made in massive production.
Good stuff, some of these are mostly unknown in the US. I like the Russian Nambu!!
the tula korovin or "tk" saw extended use
nice again!
You should do a video on unusual/rare american handguns such as the dardick model 1500 for example
Думал что тут будут руские коменти
what about soviet anti aircraft stuff?

All very good " pistols".
How many Russians (& Poles) felt the cold then hot barrel mouths against the backs of their heads.
A "Baltik" igazán még tetszetös is kár értte.
bolshe na valter pp 7.65 kl. paxoj , vadin adin/ a tt est tt i unevo svai kachestva, kakta ne axota io daje s valteram putat.
korovin model TKB 263 look like makarov . I think makarov is based on this pistol.
it might be , soviet designers were know for copying each other
TKB And Makarov are both based on the german Walther PP pistols
+MR Pierre No it was more complicated than that . In short Valther PP is best simple blowback pistol so Soviet experimented with things and first version of future makarov slowly morphed in PP lookalike because you cannot really do better than PP with late 40'es technology
Даже украсть нормально и то фантазии не хватило!
the last pistol is a walther pp o ppk ;)
