    Korovin TK 6.35 is not a prototype, it was produced a lot. You can see a serial number on photo

    I think that "Baltietz" is the best Soviet pistol in WW2.

      the Balts did not have wide distribution. this gun was made in the besieged Leningrad on the basis of PP so as to fill insufficient number of weapons on the front.

    The prilustky model 1914 Russian pistol. I didn't know the Russians were making semi automatic pistols during World War I

    The Korovin model 1930 proto looks quite identical to Finnish Lahti L-35, but with fluted barrel. Wich one came first? Im quite sure Aimo J. Lahti had something on paper and in steel long before year 1935, that the gun was accepted to military use.

    Very interesting subject. I'll have to watch it in its entirety at my first opportunity.

    The Voevodin model 1939 exemplar seems to be engraved and offered to the Narkom (national commissar, which is soviet for "minister") of Defense comrade Stalin (one of many Stalin's titles I suppose) in august 1942.
    Otherwise, Korovin 1930 looks a lot like Nambu Type A Experimental, the Baltiets is quite a Walther PP etc. I do not mean the Russians were the only ones "copying", in firearms everyone can be "inspired" by everyone :)

    Is strange that the Tokarev 39/42 wasn't made in massive production.

    korovin model TKB 263 look like makarov . I think makarov is based on this pistol.

    • @jmantime

      it might be , soviet designers were know for copying each other

    • @mrpierre4367
      @mrpierre4367 8 лет назад +2

      TKB And Makarov are both based on the german Walther PP pistols

    • @idiotidiot4522
      @idiotidiot4522 6 лет назад +1

      +MR Pierre No it was more complicated than that . In short Valther PP is best simple blowback pistol so Soviet experimented with things and first version of future makarov slowly morphed in PP lookalike because you cannot really do better than PP with late 40'es technology

  • @МихаилМельничук-и2ч
