When you put a prototype weapon that was never put into production into the thumbnail to attract the attention of all those bf1 players.
The Standschütze Hellriegel M1915 is an Austrian-Hungarian designed water-cooled light machine gun, which was manufactured in very low numbers during the First World War.
For the light machine gun, they could use a traditional locker magazine, or a snail magazine that did not connect directly to the gun, from which the cartridges were inserted into the gun through a flexible slide. Because of the unusual appearance of the auger, many thought the gun was strapped, but they were not connected to each other, the spring in the auger pushing them through the chute into the chamber.
To know little about the weapon, it seems that no more than a few prototypes were made of it
The two "machine gun" conversions (the bottom/front one is possibly manually-operated) of Mannlicher rifles from 14:47 to 15:00 were created by Franz Kretz. (Another example of his is on display with those two.) They aren't belt-fed, but rather they use a hopper system that's filled up with Mannlicher en bloc clips. When the loaded one is depleted, the next one is dropped into the magazine.
My country really made some of the weirdest weapons of ww1. The Burstyn Motorgeschütz looks really mean, with that trench crossing device, and the Hellriegel would have been devestating in close quarters, as we see in bf1.
Und jz haben wir nur noch das Stg77
@@eliasmayer8122 Nein, jetzt haben wir Bren 2
These forgotten weapons were forgotten for a reason. I'd rather have a slow firing, reliable gun than a shitty one that will get me killed.

My great grandad was in the Austro-Hungarian military in the war and it's so interesting to see what they used in the front.
when they atack serbia, nothing help :p hahahaha
words of a loser.@@SuperDjavol
My grandfather always teaches me about the strange development of the early Austrian submachine guns and the automatic pistol rifles and being from Austria it really intrigues me because i never really knew about these
your grandfather was epic.
Nice to see the Schoenberger pistols. I had not seen the color images of those weapons before. The story of what became of the Schoenberger brothers would be appreciated.
I have an interest in Austro-Hungarian army and collect the WW1 feldpost cards with the unit cachets on. Good to see the hardwear they used as well. Those early self loading pistols are a surprise.
they were to me too :)
Both my grandfathers fought for the Austria-Hungarian side. My one grandfather caught a Russian bullet in the belly and almost died. The other fought at the Piave River in Italy. This was an Austria-Hungarian defeat by the Italians.
Du machst absolut super Videos! Danke an dieser Stelle und weiter so... kenne keinen anderen RUclipsr der so informationreiche Videos über so viele verschiedene Nationen im Bereich Waffen macht.
Was ? Ich dachte ich wäre hier der einzige Deutschsprachige :D
Sehr.,sehr gut.
Nein !
I really liked the Mannlicher M1914 7x57 mauser R ,wow my favorite caliber and the attached bayonet !
Thank you for your valuable data.
( T ∀ T )
The Austro-Hungarian Empire also seems to have purchased about 600 Madsen light machine guns.
I really want the Mannlicher 1905, Mannlicher 1915 Automatic rifle and Roth-Haenel to be in the last DLC for BF1 now hahaha
Manlicher. Even tge sound is scary.
ok , i really need to finish my South American Weapons videos - i'll do Venezuela first , then Argentina
tiger tanks are german tanks from ww2..doesnt it?
he is jocking ;-)
jmantime THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
6.14 to 6.22 - a SERBIAN M.1871 Peabody conversion from Lorenz percussion rifles (Serbia bought 27.000 Lorenz rifles in 1867, for the sole purpose to be converted to breech-loaders)
+jmantime: Great presentation, but there is an error. At 13:11 The text goes: Austro-Hungarian Machine Guns / Österreichisch-ungarischen Maschienengewehre / Osztrák-magyar Géppisztolyok.
First problem: In English, the text correctly lists both Countries with capital letters. But in both the German an Hungarian text the country name for Hungary is without a starting capital letter. It should be Ungarischen and Magyar. Not that it matters to me, do you write the name of your country without a starting capital letter?
Second problem: At 13:11 you wrote "Géppisztolyok" for Machine Guns. But in Hungarian that word is used for both fully automatic pistols (Like the Glock 18 or the Beretta 93R) and submachine guns. In other words, only for weapons firing pistol rounds. You should use "Géppuskák" instead, as that word is used for automatic weapons firing rifle rounds.

8x57 Mauser was invented in 1902.
Mannlicher Weapons look quit fine

Great vdeo
Anti-aircraft mauzer 10barell automatic pistols set.
How cool was the dog drawn grenade launcher wagon?! Surprised the Germans didn't develop/use this weapon in WWII.
The correct name of the rifle at 12:06 is Ritter von Jurnitschek ... (Alfred Ritter Jurnitschek von Wehrstedt or Alfred Ritter von Jurnitschek is the correct name of it's designer). www.delcampe.at/de/sammlerobjekte/militaria/1914-18/original-patentschrift-dr-a-ritter-jurnitschek-von-wehrstedt-auf-schloss-puchberg-b-wels-1901-gewehr-jagd-291630789.html

The Hellriegel was literally dropped after they made 2 models of it. Wouldn't call it a WW1 weapon if it wasn't actually used 😂
