I'm a single guy who goes to the laundromat and I put $20 bills in the change machine all the time. That way I have quarters for laundry for the next couple weeks.
I think you should lock up when your doing collections, and switch your routine up so you don’t have any issues with dishonest people. I live in Hawaii, and I’ve ALWAYS wanted to own a laundromat!! And or snacks/soda machines, but living here I wouldn’t even know we’re to start!! We don’t have access to a working machine 2 states away which sucks 💯 But we love watching your videos!!
was in an arcade in Orlando and they had a few coin pushers in the back. while playing a game, an alarm goes off and everyone looks to the back. two kids tired to bump the machines. they have it set up so a worker has to flip a switch to turn off the alarm in them. I would see if you can set the alarm to go off for at least 30 seconds. It can be enough to get them to leave the machines alone
I call B.S. ! I've spent $20-40 at the laundry. If you have blankets, duvets, comforters and sheets. That is a lot of quarters!!! I wish I could invest in an arcade, laundromat, and food franchise. All in one little strip mall!
We use a detergent bottle with the top cut off to collect, it works well. A safe at the business with all the keys and extra change is also a must have. A changer out of money is an emergency, because your customers may not be able to give you money.
My washing machine broke about a year ago, I still have my dryer. I spend $10 a week just to wash then I take it home to dry. I'm usually washing at 9pm Sunday night and nothing near by is open. If all I have is a $20 it goes in the change machine. I don't know why that seems out of place to other vendors. I keep my quarters in a jar and just bring the extra back the next week and won't get quarters from the machine that week.
I own a laundromat. I own it on a very busy road. I make 100 dollars a machine a day and with about 50 machines. That’s 5,000 a day on average. I pay around 500 in bills that’s a week. I make 34,500 dollars a week. I don’t have to pay employees and I can spend time with family. Owning a laundromat is one of the best businesses. I’m so thankful that I don’t have to work 10 hours a day and not see my family. I make around 1,700,000 a year. Minus 300,000 in tax. I’m livin the dream.
The internet is fool of trolls some of them more serious then others. I'm guilty of it myself, I told him to put his dryers on the blockchain. It was in good humor and I got a laugh out of his response. Keep up the vids man I like what your doing here free education is always a good thing.
Do people really think that it’s strange to get $20 in quarters?? Have they never done laundry at a laundromat before? It can be wicked expensive, especially if you have a family. I’ve spent close to $100 in one day doing laundry before I had my own washer/dryer.

I live at an apartment complex and as a single guy, sometimes I'm too busy to wash laundry right away so it piles up. When I finally wash, I usually do spend $15-$20 on laundry so I believe it lol
If you've got a family with 2 or 3 kids and you don't do laundry for 2 or 3 weeks you'll easily spend more than 20 dollars on laundry. So it's not surprising to see 20 dollar bills in there.
@Rob Walker I have this idea for a kiosk, requiring people to sign in or at least giving them a free wash credit if they watch a 5 or 10 minute video on how to do laundry.
93 properties and you're still in laundry mats??? Dude, time to level up and stop screwing around with laundry mats. Get into hotels and apartment complex.
First why is it so hard for someone to believe people spend $20 in quarters doing laundry? I do it. Couple loads, wash and dry gets you to $20 where I live. Second, you should put in a second quarter exchanger so it reduces the chances of it running out. Anyway, cool stuff. Keep the vids comin
Anyone who doesn't believe people spend money to get quarters has probably never been to a laundromat. Also, if you're on the bus line they will use the extra quarters for that.
When my mom use to wash clothes at the laundry mat she would spend $30 just to wash and dry clothes. She would take up to 6 to 7 machines of washers and the rest for the dryer. So trust me, ppl do spend $20 on coin machines!
Great videos. People stealing from you that know you... in such small amounts like that... wasn't expecting that. I thought a bigger issue, especially for that coin changer, would be counterfeit bills. Has that been an issue?
Brandon, love your videos. I have learned a lot from watching your videos. You have inspired me to investigate opportunities. Advice? As a former law enforcement professional, your coin pusher is an unresistable temptation to opportunistic criminals. Although it may make you some money, IT DRAWS AN UNDESIRABLE ELEMENT INTO YOUR STORE WHILE IT CHASES GOOD AND HONEST PEOPLE AWAY WHO WISH ONLY TO WASH THEIR CLOTHES. Reality. Your shop is a non supervised business that entices spoonies, homeless and criminals with valuable shiny things like quarters in a clear glass box. STUPID! Discourage those foolios and remove the temptation to steal. Ditch the coin pusher and instead offer a fluff n fold. An employee on premises will discourage vandals, criminals and the homeless. It will encourage saftey, full service and cleanliness to your facility. Also, why do you have more than 15 keys for your machines? No bill stacker yet? Dangerous. There is a process that makes things quicker and smoother called kai-zen, hire a locksmith and key your equipment with a master key. It is time to quit fumbling with the money and the keys. It is dangerous for you and anyone in the store while you are walking around with hundreds of dollar bills and 5 gallon buckets of quarters. Get in/out of the store with your cash collections as quickly as possible. Wanna film it? Use a head mounted go pro or something. And yes, I do realize you're in small town Ohio. Opportunistic criminals are everywhere. Make a change for the better, be more efficient and productive with your collections and time inside the store. This also may mean more dollars in Brandon's pocket. KAI-ZEN. It's a thing. Look it up, worth the time to understand.
Reminds me a bit of game economy; the idea is to throw in a money sink so players spend as much of the virtual money they earn as possible to keep the economy balanced. In your case, it's a quarter sink. XD
Great video and I watch the series. I have to defer on the "money" in the change machine. It only gives change, it does not "collect" i.e. there may be $150 in the change machine which only means you gave out $150 in quarters. There's zero profit. Additionally, just because there's a $10 or $20 bill in the changer doesn't automatically mean that there's the corresponding money in the washers. Meaning, just because someone pus a $10 bill in the changer does not mean they'll be spending the same amount in the laundromat that day. It may be the only bill they have or that the changer accepted.
I’d love to meet this man and talk to him. I made a terrible investment and now I’m down a lot of money. I just want to share my mistake with him and possibly get his opinion on buying a laundry mat. Also I have no idea how he runs his back end for so many business. Accounting and bookkeeping are some heavy obstacles.

people will do stupid shit, i have had people put money in a broken machine, even when i placed a sign on the machine and taped the coin slot up... i have had people try to jam the coin slots with toothpicks, wads of paper and other things to try and get a free run! i have had a grown-ass man, jam something into a candy vending machine, then call me and tell me the machine took his money. So why dont laundromats put other types of coin machines in them. Like games and vending machines? Claw machines ect. I mean ppl are board and holding pockets full of quarters.
Shouldn't you have 2 coin machines? Redundancy in case of a failure of the first one? If it broke it seems like business would all but shut down until fixed.

Don't concern yourself with what people say. Unless they have solid knowledge, experience and/ or understanding. You are doing your business. Its important to see the people who also work for you and listen to what they see. Find out who are your customers. They may live nearby and can share what they know! Taking the time to be present, will make a difference. Please watch that your youtube or IG footage doesn't give away location. You could blur details in shop. Live feed in laundrymat alone might not be a good idea security wise. You are so busy and might make an oversight due to distraction. I used to work at a coffeeshop and cashing out was nerve-wracking bc my cashes were next to windows with no privacy and it was on a sketchier older street. In our city bike thieves check the University first bc they know the pricier bikes are there.
Hell I go to the laundry mat just to get change because the stores around here won’t give you quarters back for bills. I’m not even doing laundry I just need change for other stuff wash my car, (the piece of crap change machine at the car wash is always broken!] vending machines at work, (their old ones that don’t take bills) it’s easy to see people putting $20 bill on a change machine. The ones who don’t think they do obviously don’t use the Laundry mat
It cost me about 20.00 or more to do laundry .. We usally use the 6.00 machines use 2 or 3 of those an couple smaller ones. Pluse dry, need to go get my own washer & dryer.
One of my workers said he's run into one from the 60s that's mechanical. I'm going to look into it and see if i can get it off him. Throwing bags of coins in a old mechanical counter sounds like fun to me.
See I told you coin pushers are always going to get robbed . It's easier to get rid of it it get rid of the temptation from all the crackheads and all the lossers. Or you buy a very nice coin pusher and then when you rock it it's slames metal shutter door shot so they don't get any money
I know some people when they use or go to the laundromat they can spend forty or $50 they're washing clothes because they'll wait until they get a huge amount of like blankets or just lots of clothes and then they go there and just keep washing until they got literally a car full of clean laundry
If you shake the top of the coin pusher as the sliding tray is going backwards it will vibrate all the coins and make them fall off the slider you can keep doing that intell all the coins are off the slider but you have to do a kinda sonic vibration so the alarm dont sound it's super easy to do
I’m a family of 3 and if I need to wash all my bedding and bathroom mat ect along with a week worth of laundry I can spend a good 20 dollar 💵 So whatever to says you can’t use 20dollars lol
That was so funny that squealing noise they did not like that . You could probably put a louder speaker inside of that . So when that goes off its even louder

As someone who has used a laundry mat regularly for the last 15+ years of my life yes I go there with a $20 bill and intend to spend it all 🤷🏼♀️
Hell I go to the laundry mat just to get change because the stores around here won’t give you quarters back for bills.
If you bang your fist on the side of the machine lightly repeatedly parallel to the bottom tray You can take a lot coin from those machines.
It cost me about 20.00 or more to do laundry .. We usally use the 6.00 machines use 2 or 3 of those an couple smaller ones. Pluse dry, need to go get my own washer & dryer.
Have you considered getting coin counter instead
One of my workers said he's run into one from the 60s that's mechanical. I'm going to look into it and see if i can get it off him. Throwing bags of coins in a old mechanical counter sounds like fun to me.
See I told you coin pushers are always going to get robbed . It's easier to get rid of it it get rid of the temptation from all the crackheads and all the lossers. Or you buy a very nice coin pusher and then when you rock it it's slames metal shutter door shot so they don't get any money
I know some people when they use or go to the laundromat they can spend forty or $50 they're washing clothes because they'll wait until they get a huge amount of like blankets or just lots of clothes and then they go there and just keep washing until they got literally a car full of clean laundry
forty what
Umm I be using a 20 at the laundry just to have left over coins for next time I’m sure most people do
The security camera clip is at 11:57
You should have your own show
Why don't you invest in a second change machine?
How can you not love this guy?
uuuuuuuhhh.......
If you shake the top of the coin pusher as the sliding tray is going backwards it will vibrate all the coins and make them fall off the slider you can keep doing that intell all the coins are off the slider but you have to do a kinda sonic vibration so the alarm dont sound it's super easy to do
I’m looking to open one next year good job
like a child in a candy store lol
All the guys in the trailer Park boys on their own trailer parks.
Really? Never knew that
I’m a family of 3 and if I need to wash all my bedding and bathroom mat ect along with a week worth of laundry I can spend a good 20 dollar 💵
So whatever to says you can’t use 20dollars lol
I cant find your video with Graham Stephan. Where can I find it?
That was so funny that squealing noise they did not like that . You could probably put a louder speaker inside of that . So when that goes off its even louder
