Coming towards the end of my trip. What an amazing experience. Mostly the weather has been with me. Mostly my satnav worked ok. My bike was perfect and my cameras worked well. I actually managed to ride to all of the landing beaches in one day, it was a bit rushed at times, but an amazing day never the less. Sainte-Mere-Eglise, Utah beach, pointe du Hock, Omaha beach.
Thanks for the look around the D Day memorials, museum's and beaches. Some of those French towns look little changed since the war.
Some incredible acts of bravery, and ultimate sacrifice on those beaches.
OOO I'm the first, You earned a Purple Heart in blood! If you were wounded, you were awarded it!

Hello pal just a nerdy comment here... I have just been watching this video and noticed at exactly 3:07 there is a carrefour on the left.. we parked in the exact spot between the white car and the black Renault in the car park there... stopped to get some supplies for our road trip once 🙃

@TPXC I have a very special project for later this year! September I am going to Arnhem. A friend of mine his uncle was one of the brave men who dropped into Arnhem. So I am hoping to do something special! 👍
@the_mad_leprechaun briliant we went to Auschwitz in 2022 and it is a very surreal place especially around the crematorium the ground surrounding It is covered with bone Ash and there is still a smell coming from the ground ..I am hoping to visit Duxford air show this year
