Hi again , watched your more recent post on the Mutants so came to this one also, Yeah i live in a very rainy , road mud from a lot of farmers driving from fields directly onto the road, so need a tyre that can handle that, gotta say im pretty sold on the Mutants , Cheers

i would offer my RD350F2 but as ive only owned it since August theres no real history with it for me! However, youre more than welcome to sling a leg over it and have a go on it next summer, even if you dont want to do a video about it. And as for days out, how about the Honda Museum at David Silver spares near Ipswich?

Nice one Murt. I had a Sportster 1200 back in the early 90s . Loved the Harley thing back then going to the Kent Custom bike shows and the Bulldog bashes.

I've been extremely impressed with the performance of my Dunlop Mutant tires, especially in cold weather. They warm up rapidly and provide excellent grip, living up to their M+S (Mud and Snow) designation. This is my second set; I put almost 12,000 miles on the first set, riding my 2009 Suzuki B-King year-round, in all weather conditions, for my daily commute. I cover roughly 15,000 miles per year, and these tires have consistently delivered a safe and confident ride.

You hear a lot of stories about people buying these in the crate and never riding them. What a shame if that's true.

Absolutely cracking bike and great restoration, the ring a ding sound of the exhaust brought back great memories.

I too have mutants on my 2023 GS. Totally agree they’re a very good tyre, rear now up for a change approaching 6k. Phil.

Hiya Murt - nice review. I have Bridgestone Battlax A41s on mine, and that front tire is noisy. I guess the fork tunnel doesn’t help - just directs the road noise straight up. I’ve replaced the front at 5500 miles, back was still good as new. When it’s time, I haven’t decided if I will go Michelin Road 6s or Trailmax Missions. Leaning toward the Road 6s. It pays to take care of tires - I got 150,000 miles out of a set of 5 Goodyear Wranglers! Happy New Year my friend…

Nice video, thanks. If I remember correctly they didn't make noise until they had a few thousand miles on them and only from the front when leaned over. A bit odd, I know.

Great review Murt, I think a lot of tyre wear comes from riding style. If you ride the liathroidi off the bike, ripping up and down the gear box ect it does count for a lot of wear. I remember Andy Boothman saying to me that he can't understand how long my tyres, chain and sprockets last, I put it down to trying to ride as smooth as I can. I love your reviews on products a lot of us use. I don't know if you ever did a review on gloves and is there a truly waterproof glove. This review on these particular ture is for a tyre I can't see on a bike type I will ride but to someone such as yourself that does tour and do high milage they seem the ideal choise of footwear.

Hi murt I can I love my michelin road 6's I have ob my GSA but as I ride 80% 2 up i get through them I'd say 5k max for a rear and 6k for the front.. hope you are well and happy new year to you we will have to meet up again soon.

Most of my riding these days is road based anyway, but if I'm without pillion I sometimes am tempted by some tracks off road, I love my current road tyres on my GSA, but am always watching the tyre market, esp as they are so expensive these days..... Easy to fix. These units doesn't like cold weather. Remove it from the bike, place it horizontally in front of a heater/heat pump for a couple of hours to warm up the gel in the touch screen. Make sure the unit it self warms up to 25 to 30 deg Celsius and that will solve the ghosting/ frozen screen. Remove it from the bike and place in pouch indoors at good room temperature when not in use.

I got two rears to one front on the Mutant with my 1200GS and the front started to sing after a while. I prefer the Conitrailattack 3.

Replacing the initial GPR300, I now have a set of Mutant tires on my NT and have reached the 11k km, but I suspect they will not last much longer. So far they have given me a very good feedback on dry, wet and light off-road. Next I'm going to try the Road 6GT Michelin, because a lot of people says will last longer with an excellent grip. Let's hope so. It's going to be tough to compete with the Mutant. By the way, they do start becoming lightlly noisy to the end, however it doesn't bother me.

I think I’ll get a set of these for my gs1300 next up. The detailing on the postbox knitwear was amazing 👏🏻

Murt i suppose you haven't ridden the 800 RE during night time, but many actually complained about its inadequate headlight - either the angle and/or the intensity. I have no issue with the design. But the colours are a bit drab and lacking some sophistication. I know Suzuki would like to keep a simple design etho, but they could have introduced a level of complexity/creativity in colour contrast or pattern. Lastly, a wind shield that is easy to adjust its level is not too much of an ask Suzuki..!

The new Icon's are so much better, in my opinion.

I find it unbelievable that anyone gets more than 8k km from any motorcycle road tyre. Including Metzeler, Michelin Pilots, Conti Attacks, Mitas touring force. I have recently fitted the Mutants to my bm 1200 and judging by another youtube review I'll be lucky to get 8k km from these. I find it strange that you would review these tyres after 400 miles. Most new tyres have grip and good handling when new...I'll be interested to hear what you have to say in 6-12 months when they require changing.

Had a South African RZ 350 YPVS (In UK it is a RD350 YPVS) in pearl white and red. Rebored it out to max 3rd oversize. Had somebody in Johannesburg do some magic with the power valves, then I built the engine with Wiseco pistons, special rings and Boyeson reed valves. Two [[ BRX 8-9-10 EG ]] Racing platinum NGK spark plugs, and an upgraded high Energy spark CDI ignition system. First ride when I was just running it in, I had to change my underpants!!!!!!!!! Hello :) and thanks for your video :) i also had the Nav 6 with ghosting, now got new Nav 6 device as replacement, but meanwhile i was waiting for it from my dealer, i bought the BMW connected ride navigator which is totally boring compare to Nav 6 and has few little problems that will be fixed by software updates during time hopefully. Now i have a dilema.. keep the boring Connected ride Nav and hope for better updates, or keep the Nav 6 and expect troubles. Could you please tell if any of your options gets rid of the ghosting problems for long time or forever? in this case i would keep the Nav 6 and sell Connected ride. FIx i heard about: take out battery from Nav 6 and place it in owen, display down, 60-70 degrees Celsius for 10 mins, helps for some time. I didnt have to try it yet.

I was shocked that u fitted comfortably with the Ktm,, im 6.2 i felt its little bit tight, i wanted to buy it but felt its small one 😮

I bought a 250 lc in 82, 4th hand. Then came 3 lc 350s into the mid 80s. A red and white one with micron's and a Mars bar one with small end can allspeeds. Ear piercing loud! They all were prity flat until about 6500 rpm, then a right kick up the arse power band acceleration hit ! Totally addictive to a man in his twenties! They still look as good now as the day i first saw one in mcn . A true classic!!
