I may be late, but I notice your camera has like.. no grain at all. I bought a CX405 today myself to start out in video editing and vlogging, but there is a noticeable amount of grain that kind of reduces the quality a bit. Does XAVC-S fix this or is it a setting that I'm missing? Thanks!
Avchd will give 9/10 points and xavc with ladies 9.5 / 10 points.But Sony can not make a little light.Panasonic is better in low light.The Sony HDR-CX405 is an exquisite camera for the exterier.Control is not very good.
интересно как вы сравниваете два кодека!? у вас что экран одновременно воспроизводит две разные картинки с двумя разными кодеками!? ,))))))) или у вас обе картинки были сделаны в одном редакторе а потом пожаты на 15мб кодеком MP4!? и вы реально видите разницу на этом видео!? ,)))))))
Если вы сделаете видео с самым высоким битрейтом, вы, вероятно, сможете продемонстрировать разницу. Конечно, рендеринг видео не составляет 15 Мбит / с MP4, а что-то другое. И когда видео загружается, RUclips будет конвертировать и разрушать битрейт. Вот почему капли воды настолько невелики. (Пожалуйста, простите меня за Переводчик Google!)
Hi, this camera has the option to recorded at 30fps, 24fps, etc ... Or only at 60fps? I bought this camera, but I did not find the option 30fps, 24fps, only 60p or 60i.
+Vince Patrick Tarrosa You are welcome! Regarding the optical stabilization, yes you can turn it on in any video mode, and it works pretty well. I actually have another video where you see it in action while chasing a helicopter.

+Vince Patrick Tarrosa You should have no problem in editing AVCHD files. However, if you decide to go with the Sony camcorder, I would suggest using XAVC S instead, which is regarded by many as a better codec. It also produces separate .MP4 files, which are are much easier to import and edit IMHO.
+fansplay For XAVC S I recommend using a Class 10 UHS-I, U3 card. I am currently using a PNY 64GB High Speed MicroSDXC card rated up to 90MB/sec, and it works great. I also tried other, slower cards, without success.

Virtual Sparks What I mean is your AVCHD side looks slightly clearer and a tad bit brighter. For example if you pay attention to the ones that show the sky, you can see the slight difference in shade. Your video is the only one I've seen that have AVC and XAVC flipped in terms of quality.
Nice. It will be good if u can compare the two format indoors with low light situation. Want to see how much lesser noise XAVCS helps.
What a pity RUclips always convert the videos regardless of the original bitrate so you won't be able to demonstrate the real picture of a camera.
Can you do a low light comparison of the two please?

XAVC s - 422 ! This is the main difference.

I really can't see a difference. Only maby with the water, the XAVC S looks slightly better.

Похоже, автор решил показать, что нет смысла снимать с высоким битрейтом, если в итоге всё-равно всё пережимается.

Should I see a difference?? Because I don't. Surely xavc s it's just big marketing... just like Clear Audio, Extra Bass... Sony is good at marketing.

how do you record 60 fps? i cant see 60 fps on my sony . i only have 50 fps , can you help me ? and i cant record mode xavc
it's just a different model. 240 and 405. NTSC and PAL. For different markets. It sounds like you own a PAL
