Holy wow, that’s amazing. That ROF seems almost too fast; would be cool if you could adjust the ROF as well as the FPS.
Yes you could, actually. Everything can be dialed on this blaster, from rate of fire to firing mode to velocities. You can also tweak the settings externally via the USB-C port, but it's really not recommended as you can easily break the thing with one errant glitch.

This kind of technology is screaming for a Kriss Vector inspired blaster with how blisteringly fast that ROF is. I can imagine how fun it’d be with an angled half length only magazine well and setting on 2rd burst.

Looks absolutely amazing, but the price tag is just a little out of range for me. I must ask though, do you know of any large scale Nerf Wars in the UK, because I'm kind of new to the UK Nerf community, and would love to know where wars are happening.
Get yourself on BritNerf if your not already, lots of helpful people. Off the top of my head you have GuN based in Leeds, Games of Foam games around the South East, Bristol Blast based in……Bristol, Quazar Nerf in Warrington, FDT games north of the border in Scotland but I believe they also have some skatepark games in Leeds. There are no doubt some I’ve missed but these are the first that come to mind.

The tec-9 of nerf blasters
I want to try to design my own blaster (something simple) but I don’t know what software to use, and I don’t want to pay for one. Anyone have suggestions?
I think the main thing to get down pat are simple mechanisms that you’ll run into, and then putting them all together becomes quite simple. Flywheelers are definitely the way to start, get a dart pusher designed and you’re half way there! Next figure out the cage geometry, maybe using something already out there. After that the shell is when you take into account wiring, battery space and aesthetics. I’d try and fit it all in the form factor of a Stryfe, or a little smaller, omitting some of the extra barrel.
Fusion 360 has a hobbyist license.
Judge Dredd is all I can thin of with the Pew Pew
they seemed overloaded, tho $500 for a nerf blaster is already too high for hobby that is sub-segmented.

if they are aiming profit, how much percentage of nerf hobbyist that willing to spent $500 and indefinite wait time?
They should have open source it for public like FDL Project (FDL 1,2, and 3) rather than going on deep secret like this.
all i can see the components are motor Brushless 11xx, seeeduino, quadcopter ESC micro, solenoid, xt30 conector, 22ga wires are used
i hope we will see the opensource soon
To be honest, the blaster is literally just a really efficient use of space combined with small electronics. I bet mag well placement in this blaster took them a couple tries to get right (hence why the mag release is so weird). But overall it looks amazing and has a pretty sufficient amount of power for a sidearm
Mag placement was indeed a challenge. Would have easily worked with a common mag release, but I wanted something new that works both ways.😊👌
