Caleb Williams now faces the expectations set by CJ Stroud last year as a rookie quarterback. The media and fans say, why not? Fans and media simply don't get it. NFL quarterback is the toughest position in professional sports, not just the NFL. Stroud was a true unicorn last year. Very few rookie quarterbacks pan out to his level. Williams has a lot of weapons around him, but the man is a rookie. I think 8 or 9 wins is the absolute ceiling for the Bears this year. If the Vikings figure it out with JJ McCarthy, then the Bears will have a really tough road in what could be the best division in football.

Carlton Davis is an upgrade, but can he stay healthy? Terrion Arnold looks good, but the man is a rookie. DJ Reader is still dealing with a quad injury and the hope is he'll be ready for training camp. Can one of the other edge rushers perform on the other side of Hutchinson? Will Jameson Williams take the next step? It all looks good ON PAPER. I need to see more before I'm ready to say the Lions will be in the Super Bowl. As for Love, he had a great 2nd half of the season. Props to him. He has good weapons around him but no great weapons. MVP this year? Caleb Williams is under pressure due to his expectations coming out of college saying “ he’s the next Patrick Mahomes” when he hasn’t played a nfl game yet. Of course it could be also the media creating that expectation if he turns out just to be an average QB but that is what other teams are looking for in their QB it’s just reality.
Apparently, the bears o line has had one of the best pass block win loss stats in the league, allegedly. All they needed was a qb with a quicker release that can see the field. They have that now, allegedly, so that should make the line play better.
