    Thanks for taking the time to do this, there's not many videos that go into the amount of detail you have (and it's nice not having things glossed over - and also nice not having annoying music and transitions!). Fortunately I don't have to do anything this complex but knowing how it all goes together is so helpful.

      Thanks for the comment, it seems a bit niche at times but there are people somewhere who might need to do the job.

    hi, I may have to remove just the heater control panel, what bits do I have to take off just to remove that please

    Great and informative video. Now I know why so many mechanics politely decline the job of fixing my intermittent heater blowers! I've been told to go to an auto electrician. Any idea what a sensible estimate of labour time might be? So hard to budget for these things! Thanks !

      Hi
      I dont actually think the dash has to come out for the heater blower motor
      In this video im removing the full dash but the motor itself possibly should come out handier than that

    • @louyates8260

      @@peugeotCitroen2CV Ok thanks for the speedy reply!- the motor is intermittent (if I leave the blower switch on it can come on when I go over a cattlegrid) which makes mechanics think that there is a wiring issue rather than a motor issue.. does that make sense?

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  6 месяцев назад

      @@louyates8260
      It could be a loose connection
      Is it on all speeds say you have it on 3 is it intermittent or is the intermittent issue on 1,2,3 and 4?
      Just if some particular speed did it or some speed doesn’t work id suspect the resistor.
      Id say get a look in there find the wires going to the motor and see if jiggling them a bit causes this intermittent issue. The connector can be spit apart to get at the connectors inside and a small pinch with some pliers can be used to tighten them up

      @@peugeotCitroen2CV great questions! I will look in to these - I'll do multiple runs over the nearest cattle grid 😂 The last garage to look into this put a resistor in but weren't keen on getting involved with the new motor/ wiring thing. Maybe my 2008 Berlingo ain't worth it compared to the bill.. will check in with a local auto electrician and fingers crossed! Thanks for the really useful advice

    Great video, does the document storage box come out without removing the dashboard? I can only see one screw in there.
    Thanks!

    Brilliant. Just how important is the steel insert you take out at 16:43 in an automatic because I need that steel out of the way?

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  2 года назад

      Hi there
      I dont think the automatics have this steel bracket in the way, not enitely sure as i have not worked on one but having sat in them the autos have a rotary dial thing below the air vent and no protrusion into the passenger space. Hope that helps

    geting the heater cables on the control switch is a real pain i was going to try disconnect at the flaps but watching this that seem very difficult. what i should of done just changed the pcb left the cable in situ the clips are very difficult get back on and dont hold as good once off

      They are indeed surprisingly fiddly to remove, not sure why it had to be that fiddly as the rest of the dash is fairly easy. I assume if the berlingo has climate control its just a couple of plugs but i haven't seen a B9 that actually had that option ticked.

    I need to remove the storage box behind the instrument cluster in my Berlingo, undone all the screws and tried pressing all the clips I can see but having trouble getting it out. Does the instrument cluster need to be removed?

      Hi there,
      From memory its just clips after the screws are removed.
      Did you manage to remove it yet?

      @@peugeotCitroen2CV I got it out, eventually, but didn't need to. Had a card slip through the gap between the bottom of the windscreen and back of the dashboard, enough of it was poking out for me to get a thin, long flathead screwdriver in and manoeuvre it out.

    I'm having problems with dash cluster just trying to track the wire as I got loose connection somewhere.
    Does the cluster connecter loom go back to the fuse box.
    It will help me a lot if you can remember thanks

      Hi sorry for the late response, have you sorted out the wiring issue yet?
      Unfortunately i just took the dash out, not too sure about where wires went. What is wrong with your dash cluster?

    • @hunk2493
      @hunk2493 2 года назад

      Hi yes I have solved the problem
      After looking at all the grounds and power supply.
      Found it was a fault in the alternator, causing the dash to swich off and needles jumping all over the place.

    • @manofweed1
      @manofweed1 Год назад

      @@hunk2493That's interesting, I have the same problem. Intermittently the dash lights go off, the gauges go haywire, and warnings about abs, pollution control, brakes faulty etc etc come up on the screen. Was guessing it might be the alternator. Thanks.

    I know it’s a different gen berlingo, but are any bits suitable for hubnuts berlingo?

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  2 года назад

      Hi there
      Unfortunately there are very few shared parts between those two generations but both would be quite similar to work on. I remember ian mentioned the modutop option and i am currently editing the video showing how the modutop roof comes out of this Berlingo it is quite a rare option on these B9 berlingos so seemed like a nice thing to save
