A friend of mine is involved in training, and on a couple of vacations I have been privileged to watch. On the last one at the end of the day just for fun they brought A retired dog out of the house. She was given the queue, it took her one stride in about three more to catch the guy and take him down. She hit him hard. You could tell she had so much fun. These dogs love to work. The dogs can do so much, and are awesome partners. I am so glad that they are given so much respect, the same as a two legged officer, they are also important. Back the blue💙💙💙
There ain't no reason why Tucker can't be a full detection K9 , He can get in smaller places and he wont tear up the seats on expensive cars either saving the Department a lot of money on interior repair if there's a negative on a search

These Animals are so precious to Mankind. But mankind doesn't make them so precious to have. The system doesn't always do the right thing for animals. Take Vietnam for example. I watched a documentary on Canine there, used in the war. Did you know that not one Dog came home. All of them used or just there, would die there. Euthanized. Very sad. They refused soldiers the right to bring them home. It's so sad.

It’s inhumane to be using dogs in law enforcement in any capacity other than tracking and detection. It’s a paradox to me how a handler, ostensibly the dog’s most trusted friend, will send a dog into a dangerous situation, often unknown, that they themselves are afraid to enter. It’s like grooming an innocent, basically on the false basis of trust, to do one’s bidding to their personal detriment. Using another sentient being, but in this case one without choice or free will. It’s actually pretty sick. Police dog handlers are right up their with snipers and undercover as the worst of the worse.

They were killed or seriously maimed because the handlers, on which they depended, worshipped obediently and trusted, thrust them into harm's way without sufficient backup. Why? Because the humans knew the danger, the risks, weighed the odds, and were too impetuous or dumb to wait to execute an alternative solution; and were too scared themselves to enter the fray. So, they send in their best friend and partner to do their dirty work. Does that sound about right?

I assure you, people fight dogs- dogs get stabbed a lot. she said the money was great, but the handlers made the business miserable. grown ass men, "stewards and pillars of the community" would just treat an old woman like garbage every time. she loved the doggos but her LEO clients were almost always complete douche canoes.
