The second revolver he is using is not a Colt design…. it’s a Remington. Check out the web below the rear of the barrel and just ahead of the cylinder. I actually prefer shooting Remingtons over the Colt 1873. The trigger guard on the Colt always digs into the knuckle of my middle finger upon recoil.

Yeah it wears out a couple of the parts because the recoil kicks in before the parts have a chance to lock in place.
