Hello, nice job you did there. If I may ask, you did this with the engine still in the tractor, correct? How did you manage to get the old piston out? I am currently doing the same job on my 3000 with the engine in. Dropped the pan, disconnected the rods and try to push the piston out from bottom. Can't get it out. How did you?
Hello GHF I have the same 175ci diesel engine , I'm currently overhauling it and my cylinders are 111mm bored out to their max and some because I bought .040" rings and they're still too small ,,,,anyways I'd like to ask you if this motor is sleeved type because I looked at it and it does not appear to be a sleeve in it however I could be wrong and asking your opinion.
Hi there I think this engine doesn't have sleeves in it. I googled it and there was a post about this and it could be machined and a dry sleeve put into it but this is not a sleeved engine from what I see unfortunately.
@@TheGoldenHillFarm Yes thank you , further investigating turns out it's a 4.4L/201ci . Odd because decals say Ford 3000 but the 4.4L came in Ford 4000. All the best to you !

Hello, I still have the loader attached to mine how did you separate the front to remove the oil pan.
I have a 730 loader on it. There’s plenty of room even with the loader on that I just removed the pan bolts and dropped the oil pan.
Hello, what is the name of the tool you rub the cylinder?
Cylinder Hone
@@TheGoldenHillFarm cylinder rebulding or not?
Is this a direct or indirect injection engine?
This is directly injected into the cylinder. Not into a pre chamber like indirect.
@@TheGoldenHillFarm awesome, I've been looking for direct injection engines for awhile
The cylinder bore surface finish is non existent. I can’t even tell it was machined. What happened to this engine?
Where in the usa are you based.
Way up in Northern NY. Short on good weather to work in.
I'm from Greece... Thank you for the information
