- We finally get the Ford 3000 up and running. Took apart the Simms injection pump to free up the fuel plungers. Also cleaned and tested the injectors. It runs pretty good still getting used to the select-o-speed and still have to make a few adjustments. Thanks for Watching.

A very interesting and informative video , i love small tractors , regards from N Ireland .
Excellent. Thank you for posting
Dont forget to change the oil in the injector pump i did not know of this until recently the big bolt on top is the fill the middle half inch head is full mark and bottom half inch head bolt is drain
Nice video!! Thanks for share that information
Thank you very much, I have problems with injector stuck. Very helpful information.
Just did this. I got lucky and kept forcing the rack back and forth and it freed up after a hour. Runs like a top
Just a recommendation mix a little 2 cycle oil in your fuel tank. Keeps everything lubricated.
ATF or marvel mystery oil works a heck of a lot better and it will also help free stuff up if it sticks
Where can I get parts or a rebuild kit?
Is it possible for something inside the simms injector pump to cause the engine to runaway?
Where is the smoke screw for more power? Thank you
Did you have to set engine on time to remove pump?
Hi.. Im working on a similar pump P5082, and im not able to lift the top. Seems like the plungers are stuck to something at the bottom. Any ideas what causing this? Is there a sertain racket position that makes it possible to just lift it up like you did?
Some plungers on different injection pumps there's a keeper on them like on the intake or exhaust valves that has to be taken off to get the valve out or in this case the plungers. Or they could be a little rusted just enough not to move. No certain rack position it just lifted up. I hope you can get it fixed. Good Luck
You skipped the only part I need to know about. How did you get the springs, plunger and rack off the main body of the pump. Mine won’t lift off.
The top of the pump lifted off when I took out the 6 Allen screws holding it on and then I angled it a little so the plungers fit out the top. Might have to give it a little tap.
Thanks for the info. I discovered that I have a bad pump with two broken plunger tips. Do you know where I can buy one for my Ford 3000 3-cyl. diesel?
To you have to time pump?
I had the timing marks on the flywheel lined up with the mark on the bell housing. I also made sure the timing on the pump gear in the front of the engine was in the right place before I removed it and put it back in.
Worked at Ford tractor dealership 25yrs I’ve never seen a Sims in line on 3 cylinder only 4 cylinder
There is also a simms 3 cylinder on my Fordson Super Dexta too.
I also have the same pump on my Ford 3000. Currently looking up new plungers for mine
@@TheGoldenHillFarm I found your video looking for information on a 3 cylinder Simms pump. Mine is on a fordson/Perkins engine in my 1964 atlas excavator
My 3000 here in UK is in line simms and all the ones i have worked on, I think the 2000 and 4000 were rotaries
That loader looks too big we use to break the front axle with standerload
The loader is a 730 which is supposed to fit the tractor. The bucket is kind of shallow so I don't think I can load it up too much where I can break an axle but I'll watch it. Thanks
Hola amigo buenas noches me puedes reparar una pompa y Gual a esa
Please give me this fuel pump
Too bad it’s got the select o speed trans 😂
It's not that bad. I think it was mostly operator error and poor maintenance that gave them a bad name.
