It's cool to watch your episodes and learn about all the history of various CLASSIC B.G. collectibles! The Galactica ship Herself is one of the most AMAZING scifi ships ever! SO realistic, beautiful & formidable! Incredible design that never gets old!
This was the one that I bought from a UK dealer in 1990...the Bandai versions were the only Galactica kits I could find back then..after a decade of searching it was a thrilling day when this and the Base Star turned up in the mail!
This is very cool. I have two of these. One is partially built with a lot of added details, the other one is still in the box untouched. This was a decent kit but very lacking in details. But if you add a lot of greebles and do a lot of detail painting it comes out really nice.
When I was a kid I collected a lot of this line. I hated the representations, possibly the worst impression of any toy line of all time. Thank goodness for diamond select. Even bif bang pow for getting it close to right. But far off. But I remember this kit, didn't get it, but knew someone who did. Great review 👏
This is an awesome kit. I had seen the Bandai kit years ago but thought it was just a Monogram kit with the Bandai name. I am a model collector and I wish I knew now what I didn't know then. These old BSG model gets a lot of criticism for accuracy but model kits back in the day were toys. Now all the old guys like me build models (kids don't build models anymore) and we are all looking for the real thing in miniature. I personally like the differences between what was then and what is available now (e.g. Moebius)
I have the Basestar Model kit. Haven't attempted to put it together (for a few years now,) Cause I SUCK At Models! Almost to the point where I would Pay someone to do it! ....Almost!

Nice! Thanks for sharing that!

Thanks for info! I can’t build to save my life but I’m happy to know this!

Very nice and great detail.
It’s a nice kit with a great story!
love these kits and do you know the story about the Revell issue of these kits? Is that a UK release maybe?
Video coming soon! Thanks for watching!

You make some terrific points! Thanks for that and for watching!

I’m bad at model building but recently put together a Viper and Raider (they came out decent). Now painting them was/is a different story! Lol!
Interesting that BanDai molded it correctly in white instead of the incorrect silver-gray that Monogram supplied in North America.
I love the differences between the US and foreign releases. Usually the foreign toys are much better!
