How about keto diet and harmful carbs? There is no one way that fits all. Limit you calories, exercise, sleep well, avoid stress and drink enough water.
keto and low carb diet are the most popular ones nowadays because you can see the fastest result. But it is difficult to sustain it. As a nutritionist, I would recommend having a balanced diet (choosing more veggies, fruits, lean protein, and whole-grain carbs). As you said there is no specific pattern or formula that would work for all but you can find what works best for you.
