  • Credit reporting and scoring is forever evolving - sometimes for the better and sometimes not so much for the better for us or our clients. However, since everyone’s life revolves around these scores it is critical to know as much as possible about them.
Every year the Center for Financial Social Work invites Rod Griffin, the Senior Director of Consumer Education and Advocacy at the Consumer Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) Experian to train our community on the most recent and important credit card changes.
The goal of this training is to assure everyone working with clients knows how to best educate, motivate, and support them in understanding the role of their credit score in their lives and how to proactively control the information in it.
    TOPICS:
How medical collection reporting has changed
New data that you can have reported - that businesses don’t - to help you improve your scores
How scores and the information they include in the calculations are changing
Common myths and misinformation about credit reports and credit scores
Actions to take if you become a victim of identity theft
