This is the best crazy legs tutorial by far. I felt like I could do this from the first watch. Wasted a lot of time watching less experienced skater tutorials, getting nowhere. You have a keen understanding that someone who is a real pro can only have. I also loved your dribble, spins and proper stance video. The latter was a game changer. Now that I know to have the lower shin against the front of the skate I am soooo much more confident in all areas of my skating. Can't believe I attended many classes and no-one ever mentioned this fundamental point. I broke my ankle (needing surgery) trying to do a bunny hop turn when I definitely wasn't ready in said class and it put me back pretty much 6 months by the time I rehabbed the ankle then the other knee that went out in sympathy. Anyway, body is now going well and I'm learning only from your videos. I would love if you would do a snake walk one! Oh yes, and I also did your one on how to skate forwards properly (legs closer together) which is also a fundamental skill which I was never taught in these classes. Thank you soooo much. So refreshing to have your videos! Much appreciated.

Thank you so much. My 21 years of teaching experience means I've tested so many methods and what I now share is the result of years of testing with students and observing the results. The lower shin position will help you in ALL skills. Keep it up (or rather down) hahahah

If your a girl maybe... I've took tips from several tutorials but her style definitely suit the ladies more im not as flexible as that that style doesn't work for me as well I have to move side to side more to compensate the lack of flexibility I belive the difference in style maybe more due to someone body mechanics so no one tutorial can be the 'best' for everyone

I've heard this comment before. I don't understand why so mnay people teach crazy legs in a boxy format as this never leads to a smooth and flowing CL. This method I think really works for most people. Keep at it. Every time you skate do a few mins of crazy legs. Such a cool move.

You're not the first one to have said that. I've seen so many Crazy Legs "Tutorials" which are just plain odd. It's not a square boxy move, it's a flowing curved move. Also no-one seems to talk about which leg should have more weight on as doing most tricks 50/50 is never going to lead to success (unless it's side surf).....

I made this video after researching how others are teaching it. It perplexes me when a teaching method clearly doesn't produce the desired outcome. All those squares and right angles to explain Crazy Legs. It sort of works when paused and then the next step is.......and then it becomes this, fluent and curvy, Tadhaaa. I'd see skaters doing CL who had obviously learned with these square angles and it remains square and jerky for a long time and sometimes it never becomes smooth and flow. But that's just my opinion and observation. I'm glad my method 'spoke to you'. Hope you're willing CL till your legs ache. It's such a great move with so many funky variations.... Pls tell your friends.

Crazy legs is not an easy dance move, there are many that are much easier that should be mastered first. It's not about bravery, I think it's more about accurately structuring your practice so you aren't attempting skills that are far outside your comfort zone too early (that really does require bravery but isn't a great idea). One step at a time and start maybe with Dribbles which are the pre-req for Crazy Legs. This vid might help with Dribbling. Enjoy!

But it's all doable. Fla groundevenmore essential when dancing on inlines as you'll roll more easily own a slope on inlines.
