I've got very hooded eyes and have been doing tight-lining since the late 80s (a makeup artist friend showed me) I highly recommend this to all my hooded eye friends, young and old. I lost my eyelashes thanks to Covid (don't ask, it just happened) and tight lining helps the little stubbies I have been able to grow back look a bit better.
Im 43 with hooded lids and recently started doing this, but I was unable to find a good eyeliner that doesnt transfer or smudge... so Im excited to hear your product recommendation. Im going to try to go out and grab this today! It really does make a big difference. Ive noticed it on myself in real life❤

Hi, I use Mac's Black Track, it's a gel formula, it works perfectly and doesn't transfer to the lower lash line. Above all, it doesn't give me allergy problems.

Do you have any tricks like this but for someone that can’t stand having product on my waterline? I have very hooded eyes so I tried this upper waterline trick and every product I tried made my waterline get inflamed and itch. I can use the products on my eyelid but that’s it. Is it possible to get the W&W eyeliner you show here to work at the lash line above the lashes but really thin? Thank you for your help!
OMG! I am going to be 60 in a couple of months and this was news to me! I absolutely HAD to try it, and WOWZAH❣️❣️❣️❣️ I have quite large eyes, and this makes them look HUGE. My hubby kept looking at me, and finally asked if I had eyeliner on. When I explained this trick, he suggested that he liked this look for a no makeup makeup on me. Anything that has him telling me my years looked younger just by that is something that I will probably be still doing when I’m REALLY old and batty! LOL❣️
I love this trick & boy does it make a difference but I don’t half struggle trying not to stab my eyeball.

I’m 70 and been doing this for years but I only tightline the lash line not the waterline and I use either a pencil but mostly a dark eye shadow with Wayne Goss’s tight line brush. I make a mess trying to use a liquid, hands aren’t as steady as they use to be. I need to try that liquid NYX you used it looks like a really small brush, is it hard to remove at night? Thank you❤

Can you do this if you wear contacts lenses?
I would apply it before you apply contact lenses, that’s usually what I do with clients. Once it’s dried they pop their lenses in.

How do you take it off without it going into the eyes?
As it dries down it doesn’t become liquid again when you remove it, not in the same respect as it does when it first comes out the tube. It comes away easily with micellar water, makeup remover, or even just water on a microfibre cloth which is what I use. It doesn’t bleed back into the eyes. Hope that helps!
I do it every day just with waterproof eye pencil, from eccence is great and not expensive ❤

So this won’t smudge contact lenses ?
Always apply your liner the upper waterline before contact lenses go in, allow it to have completely dried before popping your lenses in.
Will the liner transfer onto your lower water line when you blink or is it dry immediately? Or do you have to try not to blink straight away because I would struggle I think.
It dries very quickly!

Im still on the search for an eyeliner that will last 12+ hours on the waterline. I work 10-12hr shifts. I've tried high end and drugstore with no luck. Any recommendations?
This product I’m using here lasts on me until I remove it. But I know everyone is different, you could try mixing one of your preferred shades with Inglot Duraline before you apply it, it creates a waterproof finish. I use it on brides for their wedding day!

I try to do this but I find it uncomfortable and can't not blink.
You can blink onto the tip of the brush gently if that helps, just no heavy blinking or you’ll likely poke yourself in the eye.
You can also trying lifting the eyelid gently with a finger on the opposite hand, just high enough to reveal the upper waterline and then you can quickly coat it with the eyeliner without the blinking being a problem.
