I have seen it in action on video in Donbass. In urban areas and forests, this thing is brutal. Got hit a couple of times but it just wrecked every house and tree and everything in it. Truly scary.
It just got damaged I ain’t see 1 destroyed 4tos1 flamethrowers have been destroyed but I think 1 survived I’m pretty sure it’s not long range it’s a nasty weapon the Ukraines don’t like them they have that weapon on there priority list they attack with fpv or any type of weapon they have.

The combination of 2× 30mm machine cannons, grenade launchers and anti-tank missiles really make this thing a hell of a machine! The 30mm in particular has an enormous psychological effect on the enemy.
There is a Russian tv show called "proving grounds" (I think..) and they were testing on of these in one episode...very cool, lots of information...this thing can also swim better than Lia Thomas. They were testing the fragmentation ammo for the 30mm cannons on an old bus with the cameras installed inside ...two bursts later and the bus (and everything inside it) was minced meat :)

The tank infrantry team concept was started back in WW2, The Terminator is a logical outcome of that idea.
Yeah but no one ever actually dedicate to make it into actual functioning vehicle. Most of it is multipurpose type vehicle beside the tank instead.
Actually this junk was never even supposed to be any "infantry carrier"! :D It was planned as a purely fighting vehicle, to (supposedly!) "cover the back" of tanks fighting in more urbanized areas, especially after russian experiences in Groznyj - but that was many years ago! 🤣 IF ANYTHING - this one was supposed to either SUPPLEMENT (operate independtly from) or ENTIRELY REPLACE "motorized infantry" - especially when the tanks got too far and found themselves in sticky situations! Happened in Chechnya - happened in Syria. Turns out nobody seemed to notice the mere idea was IDIOTIC - in the end even THIS had to be protected by the very same INFANTRY it was supposed to "operate independently from" OR EVEN "replace", since (basically!) ...it's just a freaking tank, but without a main gun. Looks like in putinlandia there's a SH**LOAD of people with "great ideas" - BUT NOBODY LISTENS TO THE SOLDIERS, who are treaten as CATTLE. It's amazing just how much care and professionalism, the Russian Federation weapons manufacturers invest...over many years...where the final goal is always Victory, and dismissing everything that isn't essential. If you have it, why not use it? I dont consider it a gamble, it's better to put them to the test now and gather that data to improve in the future. You can test all you want in the factory and on paper but a battle test is the ultimate test. Usually these things are never battle tested in the West, only against farmers with AK's lol if Russia can accomplish it's goals they will come out of this a lot stronger in the future.

I have to disagree. The Bradley is a very capable fighting vehicle. Also the Bradley is battle proven with many years of real combat. I love the Terminator but simply stating one can be defeated by the other just because is a stupid argument.

If thank batalyon is equiped with terminator and APC, the number of tank needed is lower specially in urban area.. where rapid fire is strongly needed and still the treat from enemy infantry equiped with man pad ATGM can be suppresed with infantry trop carry by APC

They could have just designed the turrets on the BMP to get high angle fire. For that matter they could also mount 12.7mm machine gun on top of MBT.
I believe new BMPs got their own modern turret with high attack angle. But the Terminator will gives you more protection than any BMP. Not to mention the amount of ammunition this thing carry exceed all the other IFV and APC by tenfolds.
Modern MBTs already have 12.7mm machinegun turret for their commander.

If the target is identified, it'll rain fire on it. But for any ambush, terminator or any other top western tank, afv Or support vehicle, the ambush can still be successful. Hide, hit and run the old way will still be a problem for the opponents in any battlefield. Also infantry support cannot be left out in an urban warfare.

How lethal is it? Well, stay behind a hill, and you will be OK. Otherwise, you will not be OK

they should focus more on this platform. Tanks are just so overrated. This can shoot infantry in trenches and kill tanks too with atgms. Put some high explosive rounds in the autocannon and it will obliterate any infantry in buildings and trenches. It can also suppress infantry that tries to pop up when charging against enemy positions. Normal tanks can only shoot once every 5-8 seconds, the terminator can continue to shoot and cover a large area of suppression. Those 30mm HE rounds are no joke against infantry and IFVs.
