    These look pretty freaking cool.. Would you say these c8 style lights are brighter than the c7 style ones from morimoto or about the same?

    • @vettelights4284
      @vettelights4284  9 месяцев назад +1

      from in shop testing the c8-style was about 5% brighter than the c7-style but both are SUBSTANTIALLY better performing than the stock setup so truly you can't go wrong with either style - just a preference in styling!

    Just got mine today from you guys. Man im nervous removing the bumper haha. What happens if i dont use the drl harness?

    • @vettelights4284
      @vettelights4284  9 месяцев назад +1

      Personally, I'd go ahead and route the harness so it's there if you want to use it in the future. Without the harness hooked up, there would be no automatic daytime running light (though this could be manually turned on by engaging the parking lights) and the startup animation would not run at car start but rather when the parking lights first turn on. It's not by any means a terrible install, but there is no shortage of screws on that bumper, that's for sure!

    Wait you showed the gray plug for the wiring harness running from the fuse box but what about the yellow plugs that weren’t connected to anything?

    • @vettelights4284
      @vettelights4284  Месяц назад

      There are no yellow plugs on these headlights. That would be used to determine sequential or standard turn signal pattern on the C7-style lights (seen here www.vette-lights.com/collections/2005-2013-c6-corvette/products/2005-2013-c6-corvette-morimoto-xb-led-headlights).

    I just purchased these for my 08 and are currently being installed by my service shop. At any times will I have to treat the lenses with a UV coating in order to avoid the very reason why they are replacing the originals?

    • @vettelights4284
      @vettelights4284  3 месяца назад +1

      No additional coatings are mandatory by any means but I always suggest adding clear protective film. www.vette-lights.com/collections/2005-2013-c6-corvette/products/2005-2013-c6-corvette-lamin-x-headlight-clear-protective-film

    • @BlaqViper
      @BlaqViper 3 месяца назад

      @@vettelights4284 Thanks for the response. Will this film detract from the crystal clarity of the headlights themselves? Putting a ‘screen protector’ on an iPhone or an iPad looks like there’s a screen protector on them. I would like to avoid that on these new headlights.

      @@BlaqViper The PPF does not have any color or "blur" to it, just helps protect the lenses from rock chips, road debris, UV fade, etc. I Actually have most all of my front end wrapped in PPF!

    • @vettelights4284
      @vettelights4284  5 месяцев назад +1

      Adding a clear protective film is always a good idea to protect form rock chips/road debris/and add an extra layer of UV protection but it is not by any means a necessity. If desired, we do offer precut film kits from Lamin-X (www.vette-lights.com/collections/2005-2013-c6-corvette/products/2005-2013-c6-corvette-lamin-x-headlight-clear-protective-film?_pos=1&_sid=68c064e47&_ss=r).
