Car had to go in for an alternator. I asked the shop if they’d do the bulbs. They did them all! No charge!! Very nice of them. They look awesome. I did have to fight with the rear view mirror!!
Pretty awesome they would do that for free! Definitely one of the more needed mods for the C6 in my opinion.

DRLs are Amber (not white) in Auto Headlight mode. This looks to be normal as the DRLs are actually the turn signal lights, not the parking lights. Turn signals are Amber and cycle at higher freq in Auto also. Works as advertised in manual light mode.
Awesome but for me, I keep the amber light Amber because you’re changing the look of the Corvette at night when you see one coming and see those amber lights you know what it is
I love what you did with the led upgrades! However, I would most likely upgrade the old C6 head lamps to a Morimoto C7 or C8 style headlamp. It will dramatically change the whole look of the car and make it look more up to date and modern. Just my opinion 😉
I wanted to try an led upgrade before moving to the morimoto head lights. They will be coming soon though!

I had those and got massive EMI on my radio signal strength. Had to remove them.

I have a 2007 Vette and these turn signal LED's have the built in resister correct? I bought the vette a few weeks ago and have hyperflashing and im assuming the guy before me replaced the lights and did not add resistors so before I buy im just making sure these work. Thank you

TY. 🙏 Oh yeah, I did all my interior lights with LED's and what a difference that made! As to headlights and fog lights I went with Morimoto's and boy am I happy with them. I'm curious as to what you still have up your sleeve for your Z that maybe I could have done for me on my GS.
You’ve done a lot to your car so it’s unlikely I have anything planned you haven’t done already lol. With that said, I still have a lot coming!
True as to m GS, but you always seem to find something to do. And you know what they say, "imitation is the highest form of flattery." So I'll be waiting. I'm sure after the new you'll show us something that you've come up with. You better keep them coming befoe your C8 ZO6 arrives because then you'll be focusing on that. As you should be. Totally blew by the fact that the low beam bulbs from Lasfit requires you to not able to use the dust covers. There is one company that has LED's for low beam and comes with replacement dust covers. (Glad to see the sunglasses were not used in the making of this video 🤣🤣).
I actually didn't change the low beams. Only the high beams in this video for that fact and because the low beams are already HID.

Looks good, but you do realize there is a entire headlight assembly upgrade for cheap that puts the Z06 on par with modern cars?
So does a much cheaper individual LED replacement. Those headlights are over 1k. These leds are under 200 bucks.
The amber light will still automatically come on as a running light. For it to run the led white you have to manually switch it on. I thought the LED white would replace the amber as the running lights?
I'm pretty sure that IS how it's SUPPOSED to work.. I'm still trying to figure that out.

These look like they have a blue tint. Are they true white or blue tint?
White. Camera catches them looking blue but in person they are white.
Did the boot fit back on the high beam? Also why no hyper flash? Are the resistors built into the bulbs?
Resistors are built in, yes the boot fits.

Very cool! I purposely used these particular bulbs because they have the resistors built in and it’s less of a pain install.

The boot does NOT fit over the fan for the LSplus H8/9/11 high beams.
I’m ordering. Why didn’t you change the bulb in the middle. I have to. Mine is out. What bulb is that?
The low beam is an HID bulb. A little more expensive to replace.

Any EMI with your radio?
None at all.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I have it when the B/U lights are on. Radio goes from Stereo to Mono. No biggie since you're not in reverse too long, but show there is EMI from these LEDs (as all LEDs emit RF). Signal lights also interfered with radio reception due to EMI, so removed and returned.

No, you can always work around it. I removed it so we could have a clear view of what's going on.
Personally I think the C8 style headlight for the C6Z looks really good. Better than the C7 style. And Morimotos on the back... mmm.
Those may be coming in the future!
I just made these same upgrades and love the way things look now. However, I do get random hyper flash from the turn signals. It's not all the time, but majority of the time while I'm driving around they hyper flash but when I'm parked they don't. Anyone else have this issue or can suggest a fix for me please? I'm curious as if it is because I have not upgraded the rear lights so the timing is off which will cause the car to think that a bulb is burnt out and thus drive the hyper flash? I have LED tail lights arriving tomorrow - I'll update soon. Thanks.
Interesting. These have built in resistors so if you get hyper flash at all it might be a bulb problem. Lasfit has warranty for that exact reason, maybe reach out to them and see what they say.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Yeah, I'm thinking its a bulb problem now. They hyper flash randomly. I did reach out to Lasfit but was directed to send them an email instead. I was sent a refund for the lights but my issue was never resolved nor any explanation given. I'm in an email ping pong game with them now to figure out what the deal is and try to get replacements. Well, I spoke with technical support and he suggested I just stick with halogen bulbs. Another tech I spoke to said they don’t make bulbs that fit my vehicle (08 Z06). And the last finally agreed to send me replacement bulbs and sent a request in the “back shop” to send me new bulbs. This is what I just received from them,

Since some Corvette owners met the same compatibility issue even after installing the replacement bulbs, we suggest that you can keep the stock halogen bulbs instead.

You totally left out the part where the high beam dust covers won’t go on at all. Bought these because of this video and this part was a let down. Vette lights offers this mod with custom dust covers for $100. I know this was a sponsor video but being completely transparent goes a long way. Just cutting to the fog light install seems intentional.
I left that out on purpose, I didn't put mine back on due to the high beam having a fan on it. I figured if there's a fan, it needs cool air.
i hear that LEDs cause parasitic draw on these cars, experiencing any of that?
Do the LEDs glow after they've been turned off?
None that I’ve seen and I have seen that on other vehicles but these seem fine here.
