The C6 Corvette is an amazing performing car from the price & it has tons of aftermarket performance support. The one thing that needs to be addressed is the lighting output, it's unbelievably bad and unsafe. GTR Lighting developed a new Bi-LED headlight that is modeled after the C8 Corvette headlight. This new housing is 540% brighter than the OEM headlight, that's astonishing! They also have UV-resistant lenses so they won't fade and turn yellow like your OEM units. Chris will explain all of the key features of these GTR Carbide headlights & Adam will show you how to install them onto your C6 Corvette.
ATTENTION: The production model does not have selectable white and amber DRL. This video used a prototype and the final product changed. Sorry for the confusion.

Personally, I think the C6 is the best modern corvette body style, and this makes it 10 times better

Agreed. The c6 body is flawless. The c7 is great, but it looks like a feminine version of the c6. Like it's the c6's twin sister. The c8 is futuristic and I love the damn thing, but it just doesn't look like a Corvette. No hate on the c8 though, I'd get one in a hot minute if I could afford it. These c8 lights on the c6 look amazing.
The C8s headlights shape resembles a lot like the C6 so this is perfect. I'm happy for the C6 bros
I want to say, I truly like the new lights. I ordered mine and I install them. I will say this, though I watch the installation process that you all have awesome however, I removed the top bolts under the hood from the front of the fender, the tabs under the wheel well And I was able to reach my hand under the wheel well, and unscrew those three bolts that hold the light down, and I was able to pull the lights out without removing the fender and the two bolts on the side of the fender underneath the wheel well, I didn’t have to remove those light came out very easy, so the bumper does not have to be removed at all. It was very easy I just pulled up on the fender, pulled up on the front bumper a little bit got my hand on it. I lift up the light and it came right out.

These headlights, though the look amazing on the C8, they still compliment the body of the C6.

Dang.. And I just purchased the morimoto c6 headlights 4 months ago. I didn't hafto remove the whole bumper on my install tho🤦
I bought these with color match Atomic Orange and should get them in April. Is the DLR harness included?
Can the DLR cable/cord be pugged in after the headlights are installed?

Looks great, but the problem of not being able to replace a bulb is a no go in my opinion.
That's what the warranty is for, if you have an issue like that you're covered!
Another great concept, however, here's my biggest gripe with LED headlight assemblies (or retrofits for that matter). For those of us living in northern winter-prone climates it is essential to have functional headlights during heavy snow/sleet.
And by this I mean that whenever LED headlight lenses get caked up with snow, sleet, or ice, it becomes nearly impossible to see as the light output exponentially decreases and the beam pattern gets distorted into a spot light.
What I would ideally love to see is companies like Morimoto and GTR Lighting coming up with a lens-defrosting technology for assemblies like this.
Now I do realize there are the 2 Stroke 3.0 or LED sealed beams with heating elements but I'm talking of a less primitive, more integrated technology.
Exactly...... even tho the 3.0 output isn't the best, it's really the only option for colder climates

Just had these beautiful C8 style headlights installed today. In your opinion, would it be ok to use Meguiar"s Headlight Protectant to add extra protection or would it lessen the UV protection it already has?
If you add anything to them, I would just add a sheet of clear PPF film!

Just ordered these GTR C6 headlamps for my 09 ZO6. Just confirming cause you mentioned it. If I just plug and play and do not utilize the auxiliary fuse box wiring, that I WILL get the amber top led as my daytime running lamp?? In other words if I simply instal and plug in that the amber led strip light on top will illuminate amber when car is running during the day? I like the amber light on top. Thanks for this and taking questions.
Is not going to stay on I did mine 1 day ago and only works for hazard and turn signal this information is incorrect
Thx for this. I did the fuse box tap aux wire and have the white DRL’s functioning. Looks awesome!

I have the morimotos c7 on my c6. I love the sequential turn signal. Also have the rear morimotos.

Do they come with the necessary wiring to get them connected to the battery ? This seems to be the preferred mode for them.
These come with everything needed for install!
They come with plug and play to the light. They don’t come with the DRL harness. If y’all know where to get the DRL harness put place and number.thanks

So if you don’t install the fuse connection, headlights will illuminate amber as DRLs instead of white as DRLs? Is this correct?
Until you turn on the headlights, then the white DRL will activate.
@@HeadlightRevolution I have left the connection as is (no fuse). My amber DRLs don’t activate while driving. I have switched to/from auto headlight settings several times. That does nothing as well. I prefer the amber DRLs over the white. Is this a common issue? Where am I going wrong?

I am completely confused. My DRL works without the DRL harness being hooked up and when I hook the DRL harness it doesn't work.

So after installation do the headlights have to be turned on manually or will they automatically turn on when it's dark?
If your vehicle has auto headlights, this feature will still work. If it does not, these lights will not add that feature.

With so many cars moving to LED lights, what will actually happen when the LEDs degrade or burn out, on any brand of light? Surely they can’t expect you to throw away the whole headlight?
That’s precisely what they want you to do 😂 I’ve already seen those OEM LED corollas with a burn out LED headlight. $$$$
That's exactly right,the whole unit has to be replaced, but that is what the warranty is for! 😊
@@HeadlightRevolution 😭 thats so sad… Imagine buying a used Mercedes in 10 years, and the only issue is that it has a light burned out… only to discover that the whole light/module has to be replaced; costing 3x more than the car is worth. I’d cry 🥲

@@HeadlightRevolution Oh, I did not know that. I think they are the best looking after market headlights for a C6. The others look tacky and overdone with the little LED's to the side and bottom of the headlight. Just my opinion.

Did you guys really measure the stock output through the foggiest lens ever seen on a C6? That makes the percentage gain seem a bit snake-oily. Test the output on a low mile or clear lens C6 and see the difference then. The output on my C6 is exponentially brighter than what you show. It also looks like there is a film on the driver's side headlight as bubbles can be seen on the outer edge of the lens.
We tested on what the average C6 headlight looks like.
We've had several in our shop and any C6 that actually gets driven has lights that look exactly like the ones shown here.
They are also not using a C6 headlamp for brightness comparison at 1:32. A carnival trick.
How do you get the drl to be amber instead of white?
The amber is for turn signals, hazards, etc. They do not have a full-time Amber DRL

I love these lights but to spend $1500 on a set of lights that you can't replace the bulb in and only a 2 year warranty; seems like a big gamble. Would like to see the manufacturer offer a much longer warranty, at least 5 years like Morimoto.
I see what you mean for sure, but in that case you could always just go with the Morimoto lights!

If you want to really test led bulbs, use a 2002-2008 gmc envoy
