It is one of the best venues in the 80's. One thing that sucked is my car was stolen while there. It was a Type O Negative show. I was a dumb kid at the time, probably not a great idea to leave a 68 SS Camaro fully restored parked on the street around there.
@@potatolew4495 Wow, your car got stolen! I would've been furious! That was a hot car to drive in the 80's! L'amours Brooklyn wasn't the best neighborhood! I went there infrequently, because I lived near the L'amours Queens location & I could walk there from my house. It was in Elmhurst, Queens - right on Queens Blvd. A well lit & safer neighborhood. They had Metal music nights with live bands (like in Brooklyn) as well as New Wave music dance nights. I practically lived at that club! I had the best times there! I miss that place!
dave dipietro is from my hometown of new haven,ct..he grew up with some of my friends so i was always hearing about how good he is...well he did not disappoint as he was amazing..another great player add to the list along with jimi bell..chris impellitteri and blues saraceno...
The 1980's were an excellent decade for Rock & Metal music, with many great clubs to see live bands. L'amours, in all its locations, was certainly one of the best. I loved it. I miss the 1980's!
man we followed mark dave and eric from the playpen 2 birchhill 2 lamours 2 biker bash at bamber lake where we allmost got or asses kicked!!! pemmsylvania and manymore, walliinton etc and when they were big richard the best acdc sabbath covers ever , espically into the void!!! they were a majorly talented foursome that blew us away every time we saw them!! now mark fronts accept and is still killing it hope they play again as the quick 2022!!! SCHMEDROCK
Shit hot band - both the EP and MoH are f'n killer! DiPietro was a true guitar god - he had the chops and tone to die for. And Tornillo - what a great voice!
These guys were great. Very good chance we were at this show. We used to go into Brooklyn all the time from throughout the 80's to see them. Also saw them many times at Governors Inn, The lighthouse and The Nook. Before they got Dave and Walt to join the band, we used to see them in the very early 80's when they were just a cover band.
I was at this show; one of the few times Dave (guitarist) was on stage right for a show. His normal page was stage left (EVH / Jammy Page) side of the stage. This band was LOUD but a fantastic live band. They used to end their shows with some AC/DC covers
Very good. I'm surprised they slipped through the cracks. Hmm. This is my debut listen. Vocals remind me of Saxon. Gonna take on a few more tracks now. Rock on y'all!
i used to go see these guys almost every weekend at close encounters in sayreville nj. any one else remember that place? it was a f-in blast. good times were had by all.
I used to see TT Quick at l`amours and the old Ritz in the Village. Great little band! they were better than many of their contemporaries , but being a N.Y. band was not in vogue in the 80`s. Everyone was from england ,unless it was the big 4,all american rock!!
+gudalpesanz Yes, it was great back in the 80s. So many amazing albums were releasesed but today we dont have only metalcore, but also real traditional heavy metal played by amazing guys like ENFORCER, CAULDRON, SKULL FIST, AXXION, HITTEN etc...Its the NWOTHM (NEW WAVE OF TRADITIONAL HEAVY METAL) and its a strong world wide movement. Get into this bands and you will be able to create new memories in 2016. Greatings from the metalworld.
Yeah used to catch them at The Rising Sun every time they played there. F'ing loud with the owner "Little Henry" making hand over fist money at the bar. Tuna fish cans for ashtrays!
Such different feels between Erock (RIP) and Glenn Evans. I can only imagine what Metal of Honor would've sounded like with Glenn. He pushed them quite hard.
Dave taught Zac Wild to play, but he should have succeeded Randy Rhodes. He could have come much closer then many. I Was upstate playing with a band called Lightning. Only band to make it out of NY was Twisted Sister with 1-100th. the talent that TT, Zebra And Riot had! Fun times though and it sucks that, while in the rest of the world, Metal still is strong, but here in the US, it’s dead.
L'amours - the best place to see Metal bands in the 80's! Great times!

I would throw the bouncer $5 to look after my car
Never had an issue
Sorry about your SS
Classic metal just don't get old ..the vocalist still to this day coming out with great metal fronting the German metal giants ACCEPT
I miss bands like this... just so damn pure...raw damn emotion and power...
Ahhh, when live music was LIVE. Great band.

Jimi B and Dave D.....yep! Don't forget Doug Blair!
Just awesome......Dave D. one of my favorite players.
There will never be another L'Amour 😢

These guys are a fucking blast. And a must listen for fans of traditional/80's metal.
Hugely underrated
Saw them many times in Brooklyn and Queens in the early 🤔😌😌😌😌🥰
I miss this. ❤
Those Were 💯 Percent Better Days!!!! Shit Sucks in 2024!!!!!!!!
Fantastic.
Brilliant guitarist. Their EP was amazing....classic 'real' metal. Sx
These guys should have been bigger
The singer should have worn a shirt
Agree. They were either promoted or not. More good bands that were not promoted than were.
Had to be bad management or something, seen them a million times and was always blown away.
Well...The lead singer is now the lead singer for Accept. So that is pretty notable.

A great metal band! Very unique sound. Each individual was outstanding!
I own a vinyl album I bought back in the 80s by this band. Still got it.
One of best power metal songs ever.Wanna Accept play this!!!!!!!

These Kid's Played my club in Glen Mills PA. Bitchen show. All the best
When a song is pure rock like this one, you don't care near as much about the bad audio. Great add!
one of the BEST live bands ever and I only saw them once !!!!! Just Sayin
Best name ever for a band!! TT QUICK.
These guys were great. Very good chance we were at this show. We used to go into Brooklyn all the time from throughout the 80's to see them. I remember these guys, seen them at THE STONE PONY in Asbury Park NJ, in the mid 80s
Julian Hopps been there
I love this whole album.
I'm pretty sure I was at this show. My all time favorite metal band!
Criminally underrated band.
Great song.....

I worked for them from 83-85 and Dave was ALWAYS stage right

LIVE AT LAMOURS !!!
SUPER HEAVY
Very good. I'm surprised they slipped through the cracks. Hmm. This is my debut listen. Vocals remind me of Saxon. Gonna take on a few more tracks now. Rock on y'all!
Surprised you didn't say reminds you of Accept, since he's now the lead singer of Accept lol
Incredible song. Should have made them miles bigger than they ever got.
i used to go see these guys almost every weekend at close encounters in sayreville nj. any one else remember that place? it was a f-in blast. good times were had by all.
Great place. I used to see them every Tuesday at the Royal manor in NB. They were great.

FOOKING AMAZING!
THE ROCK CAPITOL OF BROOKLYN (with the shortest stage)
..Played some of the same circuit at that time...these guys kicked ass live!
Great performance .. Pricey Guitar ..
If You have TT Quick performing Front Burner please post. Love That Song!
Freakin awesome. Tuesday "Metal Nights" @ the Stone Pony circa 1985
TT Quick kicked ass! I think i was at this show.
Dave Dipietro was the baddest man on the planet around this time.
Killing it...Dave can schredd
Don't know if you know it but Zack Wilde took guitar lessons from Dave
This brings back memories when metal was awesome and not this metal core bullshit that's being played nowadays.

+holspa metal I would add the band Widow to your list
Beat it up!!!!!
hell yeah
DAVE DIPIETRO...Rulin' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Audio needs to be Re-Mastered!
Great stuff though 😁🤟
I caught them a number of times at the Rising Sun in Yonkers, NY. Mark would've been perfect as the "new" throat for AC/DC.
Damn you're right. Never thought of that. Way way better than Axyl
Yeah used to catch them at The Rising Sun every time they played there. F'ing loud with the owner "Little Henry" making hand over fist money at the bar. Tuna fish cans for ashtrays!

EXCELLENT SHIT, man. THX4sharing \m/(^.^)\m/
Audio isn't the best-but hey, what could you expect for 87. VHS camcorders were expensive as hell then and they usually recorded in mono only.
Rick James on bass bitch!! 00:53
@fmbighair lol u got me laughing !!! So true though! Blame it on the lighting .
this dude gave lessons to Zakk Wylde
walt looks like rick james
Looks like Marq Torien totally ripped off Tornillo's look.
too wasted
