The band is a revolving door of guitarists and drummers. Nobody sticks around more that a couple albums. I think the reason is DD. They're self managed, and he runs the show. He's dead serious, and comes off extremely obnoxious in interviews. He refers to, or implies that the band members are merely paid employees hired to do a job. They have no skin in the game other than a paycheck and some exposure. In a few years they're gone for one reason or another. The reason the name brand lasted so long is ironically the same reason no one sticks around. DD's smart and runs the band with an iron fist. Him and Blitz get along, and realize that one without the other and the gig is over.
This place was great wondering if there is any video of King Diamond 7 19 86 I was there or Cro Mags and Destruction show forget the year if I remember late 80s. Lamours Rocked
was THERE!!!!! L'amour Bkln was the SHIT back in the day! Overkill Fuckin Rules! Valentine's Day NYC opening for Testament 2013 Got Chaly? wrecking your neck!
The human air raid siren in his prime! Pretty sure I was at this show, unless DD always wore that vest.... so many Overkill shows at L'amour, not enough brain cells left! Never understood why Bobby G. insisted on playing that shitty stratocaster, his tone is so thin & weak. Who am I kidding, I fucking love it anyway!
This^
There will never be a greater time than when L'Amours was awesome.
Brooklyn , queens and Far East . So many great shows . No better time or place for metal !!!!!
BEOBIGEVILONLINE agreed
Yes the good old days
No doubt.... The best era of music funneled into one portal of sickness!
Bobby Blitz is the man...plus he's from Jersey
Bobby G killing it.
Overkill really is criminally underrated
Was there!!! This is real metal!!!! Not the so called big 4!!!!!!!!
Bobby G's still the best guitarist that band ever had. Took TWO guys to replace him!!
Two guys and they can't touch em'.....EVER \m/
They've kinda sucked without him IMO
BoGus the man. I was done with them when he left.
Tony Varriano overkill was done once their founder and soul of overkill Rat skates left them.
