Thank you for this useful video, as it shows the plethora of trikes that are out there. However, the battery problem is a severe drawback. Is the problem due to production mistakes or is it down to user error? £3000 is lot of money to burn. And as a previous commentator pointed out makes one reluctant to buy!
The tricycle designs shown in the video show models in which people sit very high. This makes users vulnerable to falls from great heights. This is dangerous. When we designed the first tricycles, our main goal was to provide the user with a safe seat and full comfort while riding not only on the road, but also off-road. I think it is worthwhile for designers creating vehicles to focus not only on design, but also on user safety.✌️
I disagree I have a traumatic brain injury and I am very worried about sitting low and not being seen by passing vehicles and motorcycles also buses and 18heeler trucks can easily run you over if you are riding low in short or laidback position trike so I would definitely avoid buying anything like that because I think about how easy and often dogs and cats get run over because they are so small and low on the roads and drivers have a hard time seeing them so as long as the tike has a wide enough wheel base people should be safer sitting up higher I definitely prefer to be sitting high enough to be above the hood of the majority of vehicles and truck drivers have mirrors to compensate view the average height a bicycle rider
Lots of good information but very little information on number of miles and top speed. Two very important things if you're going to use it for a commuter bike
I have an Addmotor and very happy with it. Got my sis a Mooncool TK1. The differential went out at 11 miles. Their customer service stinks. Want me to try and get Amazon to take care of it. LOL
I have the Addmotor Grandtan. Great Trike! Very sturdy for gravel and trails. I am making videos exploring my community using it on my RUclips Channel.
SNOW-GO: We have his & her eTrikes, an Addmotor Herotri and a Soultri. Both have full suspension frames, 4" knobby fatties and rear-drive 750W motors -- excellent for gravel and snow (we do 4-season New England biking). eTrikes are THE safest means for snowy/icy trails. 20 mph top speed for throttle-only; 28 mph top speed for peddle assist.
It's 2024 all trikes need to be "reverse style" at this point for stability and safety. There's no way I dropped three grand on a standard 1 wheel in front trike.
Update update at one time I said I was not gonna get me a trike until they come up with a better way to stop them fires now they put out something in New York City. I totally agree with them now I am going to order me a E trike next spring 2025 right now. I am getting all of my gear together for my new trike like a helmet like tire patches like a visible vest a safety flag a nice bike lock…a bike alarm And other stuff after the Lord, spare spare my life thank you Jesus❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You neglected to define basic functions of each trike: hub motor, front drive, rear drive, battery type, differential, etc. This draws attention to reviewers lack of knowledge of the subject.
A lot of mouthy tech garbage looks like the brakes an chain ain't right an will need replacement or lots of maintenance heavy frame an tires make it look good

One missing from this list is the trike I purchased, the Lectic e-trike. I love it, and it's a much more agreeable price point.

You can completely control the center of gravity on a trike by just shifting your weight on to the inside pedal.

The bikes are not in our shops in Germany / The Netherlands

The one wheel in front is very unstable. I want a two wheel in front if not a 4 wheeler.
