Addmotor cititri has a comparison chart, mentioning 750:watt rear hub motor , differential, aluminum alloy frame , parking brakes, 7 pas levels, lights, 3 wheel brakes , up to 90 mile range and fits most of my requirements for $2000. A differential is a major safety factor. On any trike or especially a bike a low step thru is a good idea. The low step thru makes it easier to stop on a bike and less likely to fall getting off of either. At some point in their lifetime almost everyone who is not going over very rough terrain will benefit from a low step thru.
I agree a low step over is desirable, however, the LAST thing you want to do on a trike is to put your feet on the ground before you come to a full stop. You'll run over your own feet - typically banging the heck out of your ankles on the pedals or even knocking yourself forward. The low step over is great because it is harder to throw your leg over two back wheels and a basket than over a regular bike.
We've had several front drive trikes, and my wife has put about 5000 miles on one of them. Traction has never been a problem except on wet grass or trying to accelerate hard from a stop. The typical pedaled trike drives with one wheel in back, not both, but there are now several electric trikes with a differential so you have twin rear wheel drive.
Suppose I want a tricycle for exercise but would like a motor for the occasional times I would need it on hills. Are tricycles with motors designed for such usage ?
Nice video. Almost every video with front hub drive either rips the knobs off the front tire or throws dirt all over the sprocket. Please do a video on rear motor drive trikes. I’m 75 and have health issues. looking for rear drive trike? Thank you, Ken
Remember Honda Tricycles appromately 25 years ago recall due to high injury and deaths. I am looking for Electrical Cam Am style front wheel being more stable use to go to the grocery store.
Thank you for watching and commenting, we will try to research it and hope to have an interesting video for you soon. Please continue to follow us. Love forever ^^
Hey everyone, we just uploaded a video about the top best electric tricycles and we would love to hear your thoughts on it! What do you think of electric tricycles? Have you tried any of them? Please share your experience and opinion in the comments below. Thanks!
@@inseasonandoutofseasonI just bought a regular adult trike and then get an ebike kit to put on it. That way you can find a motor that suits your needs
By far the best are OUTRIDER USA electric trikes. Faster, better hill climbing, and over double the range of any of those mentioned in this video. What's up, didn't they offer enough $ to be mentioned?
Hell, i used to build my own with the Voilamart kits. 1000 and 1500 watt motors would climb anything I wanted. Costed me at most about 1k to build them.
I would like to see reviews of electric trikes with passenger seats as my 39 year old son cannot be trusted to ride alone due to his mental disability.
I have the Emojo trike. At less than 700 miles the suspension fork had to be replaced.. The warranty had expired, so it cost me $125 plus installation. For this reason I can't recommend this trike.

@@xray7908 I said it wrong. It makes it quicker to get your feet on the ground after you come t a stop? I hope this clarifies what I meant.
I don't want front wheel drive due to traction issues. Important factor on trikes but wasnt mentioned in reviews.

Kind of upset the rad trike was not in list of 7 best.
Other than for people that can't physically ride a bike what's the point of a trike or reverse trike?
That big old basket in the back is what got me. I want to so all my grocery shopping. Plus fun rides with my little sweet dog.
