I would of liked Elmas from Napoli but leipzig got in there with an unbelievable bit of buisness 21 million euros is a steal. I would like lautaro martinez or boniface or vlahovich over toney I think all would be cheaper than toney and they would suit our playing style more than Toney. And also Zaire emre would be the icing on the cake. But I'm just dreaming as psg would be stupid to let him go.
Problem Arsenal will face is getting players in January specifically a forward. Gyokeres just signed for Sporting and to get him in January would cost alot,Boniface again i doubt Leverkusen would let him go when challenging Bayern for the title. Zirkee would be a massive gamble of the three for me
DAVE! I pointed out Gyokeres during your Man United season preview transfers video. Wish we had actually gone for him, absolute steal at 20-odd million last summer :(
@@StatmanDave yeah, that "Big Chances Missed" stat was very misleading last season. Hopefully INEOS pick up these gems before their price tags explode going forward
Well done Dave. There are problem with Gyokeres is that according to some reports, he’d rather transfer to Spain, Italy or Germany th and return to England due to his experience with Brighton. I think Zirkzee, Sancet, Boniface and Palacios are all great but all those players would slightly unattainable in January because they play an important role to there team there fore making them too expensive. Either way, here are the 5 targets that would be relatively affordable+good: Artem Dovbyk (Girona), Yangel Herrera (Girona), Mats Wieffer (Feyenoord), Luciano Gondou (Argentinos Juniors), and Jonas Wind (Wolfsburg). Some of these players stats might not be too great (wind and gondou) because they only just hit form but the style of play for them all suit Arsenal.
Arsenal need a LB (preferably one that can play CB if needed) I.e - Jorrel Hato A Winger (preferably a direct winger that can play on both sides if necessary but primarily a left footed RW) I.e - Nico Williams & An out an out CF (Striker) I.e - Ivan Toney That will be enough for them to push on & potentially win the league, even with Man City welcoming back their injuries, as Arsenal also haven’t been at full strength all season, and with the likes of Jurrien Timber, Tomiyasu & Thomas Partey to also come back & add to these signings they will have enough to give a ‘full strength’ City a run for their money let alone this one May still not be the better team overall, but they play a brand of Football that can best even City on their day & they have a lot of talent that facilitate this play-style well enough to take the game to any team in world football on their day
Arsenal have issues coming into the january transfer market, so its not as easy to say 'sign him or him'. We are very close to the FFP threshold, so its either going to be loan to buy offers or sell to buy. The next thing is a lot of people are saying sign a striker, which yes i do agree with.....but the defence needs prioritising first. We lose Tomiyasu for probably a month (if he also doesnt get injured). Timber wont be available until about march time and even then it will require time to get up to speed. Zinchenko is injured and Kiwior isnt really that strong at LB. Either way, we need defensive buys/loans before focusing on anything else. Finally, its all fair and well saying a striker can score this way and that way, but it also depends on the style of play the striker is best suited to. Currently, Arsenals build up play is too slow to really get at teams. So a side from a potential new striker, tactical tweaks need to made to get Arsenals attack free flowing again.
zirkzee will be exciting, super technical, will suit arsenal style perfectly, but i think he is not a prolific goalscorer, or maybe not yet, gyokeres and boniface is the best from dave's list
1. Gyokeres isn’t good enough, january is not for a long term striker, we need someone who is good now 2. Zirkzee just sounds like another Gabriel Jesus, we’ve found out that that’s not the type of striker we need. 3. Boniface would be a great player for us, but he would be too expensive right now and I don’t see Leverkusen selling him now for obvious reasons. 4. Again, why would Leverkusen sell right now and if they did we know it would be a higher price than the actual value of the player, also Palacios isn’t good enough. 5. Sancet sounds good, but lets bring in someone who is good right now in the needed positions. I thought you would mention Morata honestly. I have been thinking of a different way for Arsenal to play. So we need a tall striker, tall ballbreaker in midfield and a lwb/lb with pace. Also want a tall gk, but that won’t happen now because of the mistake of Arteta bringing in Raya and wanting him to succeed.
I don’t see any of the attacking options as better than Jesus or Nketiah… for me, a step forward in attack would be Toney, Waltkins or osinhem… for the mid, same thing, either bring a top player to play Havertz role or nothing. Don’t need more backup players or players that will not be a guarantee in the premier league. Just my thoughts Dave!! Cheers
I'm so pissed United did not sign Gyokeres last summer. He was a really good player in the championship and would have been cheap and good competition for Højlund
Don't think Sancet is a realistic option now as he recently signed a contract with Athletic until 2032, you just don't sign those kinds of deals if you're going to jump ship right after.
If Nketiah started most games he would get 15-20 goals a season. Arsenal have already spent a lot of money so they can't go spending £100m on strikers which is what some of these players might cost to get now. They replaced a top class left back (Tierney) with a creative midfielder who can't defend that well (Zinchenko). They had an excellent goalkeeper (Ramsdale) but replaced him with Raya, who is of a similar standard. In short, Arsenal are a poor man's Man City.
Wtf werent we looking at Gyokeres as an alternative last summer. Eddie whilst i like him isnt good enough it was obvious. Arteta shows blind loyalty to certain players.
Sorry guys but Arsenal aren't buying anyone. FFP has taken care of that, All I see us doing is getting someone on loan and I'm think it will be a LB. I have a bad feeling about this Zinchenko injury and that will leave us desperately short at LB as Tomiyasu is to unreliable.
All 5 of these guys are playing for teams that are exceeding expectation or doing very well in their Leagues. There is no way they will move in January…
We need this “Ukrainian Assassin” by the name of Artem Dovbyk..6’2” leftie with a nose for goals..Should be cheap as he is with Girona in La Liga.. get him now!
HARD NO. As an Arsenal fan the need is to buy a game changing #9 who leads the line with Jesus going out to the wing and platooning #9 with Nketiah. NOT signing a backup or a project. In fact, one of the problems to progression at this level when we are talking about a project that is trying to go to the heights of legitimately competing in all 4 comps is defaulting to signing backups that may or may not be good enough...money wasted on punts and Arsenal cannot afford those mistakes. Even Man United and look at their money. Right now, Arteta is showing a lack of real trust in Nelson, Elneny, Smith Rowe, and others and so the squad is not fully used and then injuries mount and very suddenly the situation is created where the squad looks "thin." This is the wrong way. The challenge is that Arsenal need a world beating #9 because the rest of the squad is young and basically there. Problem is we probably don't have the money to do it unless FFP reigns in nation state oil money and stops giving Man City and company an advantage. What this means is that the player type Arsenal really need they likely cannot get unless major sales are made...the likes of Osimhen, Mbappe, etc. Reality is, only a handful of guys will improve on Jesus and they are likely unattainable which is why getting the final piece is sometimes the hardest. The guys you list won't actually move the needle and striker is where to spend the money; midfield is a different video. There is a unique opportunity though to think that buying someone that is a top drawer #9 is a double win because Jesus out to the wing also might improve that position as well because both Martinelli and Saka need competition as well as managed game time.
WHO SHOULD ARSENAL SIGN IN JANUARY?
I would of liked Elmas from Napoli but leipzig got in there with an unbelievable bit of buisness 21 million euros is a steal. Dovbyk from Girona
I’ve been screaming for Gyokeres…. Sesko is another young talent I’d keep my eye on.
Oshimen

Guirassy?

Did not expect him to go so hard at Sporting - definitely thought he was at the level of a mid-table Premier League striker but he has been phenomenal
@@StatmanDave yeah, that "Big Chances Missed" stat was very misleading last season. Hopefully INEOS pick up these gems before their price tags explode going forward
How Teun Koopemeiners hasnt been talked about at Arsenal is baffling.
💯👊🏾
Koopmeiners would be such a good signing for so many top European clubs
im a big fan of gyökeres, he has much better potential and skillset than other rumored strikers like solanke and toney

I would have expected a mention on our need for fullbacks here
Thoughts on Santiago Giminez?
Sances is definitely someone who can bring out the best out of Saka and Martinelli
I love watching sancet what a player
zirkzee will be exciting, super technical, will suit arsenal style perfectly, but i think he is not a prolific goalscorer, or maybe not yet, gyokeres and boniface is the best from dave's list
Why people like you don’t have jobs at pro clubs is unreal your scouting is brilliant and always is 💯🔥🔥

Bas dost and Islam slimani were incredible scorers at Sporting…

Please do a video were you rebuild Man utd by signing and selling players
I'm so pissed United did not sign Gyokeres last summer. He was a really good player in the championship and would have been cheap and good competition for Højlund
Top picks, but mostly no chance in January. Maybe Györkeres. Hopefully.
Don't think Sancet is a realistic option now as he recently signed a contract with Athletic until 2032, you just don't sign those kinds of deals if you're going to jump ship right after.
Exactly unless you pay the release clause
Hato and Palhinha for me and we're winning it all

Even though he isn’t young, I would had sign Ruben neves even if he is playing in Saudi
Neves is a quality player
Sensible signing, yeah
Guys all we need is haaland mbappe ronaldo messi marquinhos hakimi davies and ter stegen
Wtf werent we looking at Gyokeres as an alternative last summer. Eddie whilst i like him isnt good enough it was obvious. Arteta shows blind loyalty to certain players.
Hi Dave what do you think of the rumour of Michael olise from Crystal Palace to go to Manchester United
Should’ve kept Balogun
What’s the point of signing boniface if his conversion rate is poor that’s literally Jesus’s flaw
Source?
@@LoyalFan9383 the video you just watched 😂😂😂
I'd still like us to finally get a bit more out of Fabio Viera tbh
Gyök is who we need
Play martinelli as a striker

Baykeyoko!! PSV
Sesko is the one to sign
5 is too much.. 2 players is too much.
Arsenal needs one player only
Nobody ever signs 5 players in January
Can Victor even play for another team this season
Victor who? Osimhen? Forget it, can or not will not move anywhere in the future…
Players can register for 3 teams in a single season
Barella & Vlahovich >>>>

Arry maguire should be top of the list to add some premiere league winning experience to their back line.
😅
I reckon we should just sign zlatan.
mehn, Nketiah should start more often than Jesus... u got that wrong
Arsenal need another RB.
It's pronounced yokeres
Let’s goooo
